Very quiet despite the behind-a-pub location, and beds and pillows were fantastic, just what we needed after a long day on the road. The location was also very convenient, with numerous cafes a short walk away. The room was clean with good lighting, lots of powerpoints at both sides of the bed. Only slight issue was the lack of a box of tissues or a spare loo roll, but we had some in the car. Hot Tip: Adrift Cafe next block over has THE BEST brekkie wraps!❤️

We loved everything. We have stayed in many nightcap locations, and this is one of the best.

To be greeted so warmly on arrival boded well for the experience we had staying here. Our room was clean, very comfortable, and although small, it managed to provide everything we needed for our stay. We dined at the hotel attached and sat out on the verandah overlooking the 'million dollar' views of the coastline; We weren't disappointed with our meals either! Delicious! Great, friendly staff topped off a perfect night. Highly recommend and most certainly will stay again when we next visit.

Looks are deceiving! From the outside, you could get the feeling you've 'booked a dud' but open the door to your room and its a 'WOW'!

Initial impression driving in was of a very ordinary motel, but that is wrong.The room was great, freshly decorated and very clean. The staff were great and we had a good meal at the pub as well as some drinks on the terrace in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. Would stay again. Occasional noise from passing truck, unavoidable given the way the road runs through Cardwell and otherwise quiet. We were here for the UFO festival which we also enjoyed.

Attached to a pub, these motel rooms are newly refurbished, tasteful and comfortable. We appreciated little touches like the USB charging ports in the sockets by the beds and the very warm welcome. The traditional Aussie pub up front was so friendly, and the bistro (grab a table overlooking the road and the sea) food was excellent - we had the Thai salad. Cardwell is a small place, but quite pleasant. I would say Nightcap at the Marine Hotel represents excellent value for money.

The car park area needs a little tidying up.

The rooms have been updated! We stay here overnight when we travel to Cairns and it was lovely to see the rooms have been upgraded. Clean & tidy with comfy beds. Pillows could be softer but depends on personal preference. Great location and you can’t hear the highway noise. The hotel is usually busy, so the meals must be good. Friendly staff with quick check in and great service. This property should have a higher star rating now. Best value for money in town.

The rooms have recently been renovated beautifully. Really comfy bed. Great shower. Hardly any road (or train) noise. Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Great value. Also loved walking along the esplanade down to the Beachcomber restaurant. Beautiful views on the walk. Amazing food at the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Nothing really. The hotel is being renovated, so you can't expect too much, but the accommodation side of things was great.

What a gem! Small but completely renovated units at the back of the hotel and beautifully done. Immaculate - great bathroom, VERY comfy bed. Amazing value for money. The receptionist was welcoming helpful and friendly. Ate at the pub, great fish and chips. Walked along the gorgeous esplanade; Cardwell town is beautiful. Just an amazing stopover on the way to Townsville.

Great location, good pub food (massive meals) Seemed recently renovated - a little eclectic in its styling, and very clean and comfortable. Had everything you need. I stayed 3 nights, and it was a great spot.

Rooms have no opening windows and no ceiling fans. Felt a little stuffy without the aircon on, or the door open (which, being ground floor felt a little exposed)

It was modern, comfy bed, clean and new. I felt very safe. Easy access to a dinner location and more importantly the beach! Little bit of a odd location but didnt feel unsafe at all. Card locked door, double blinds and very lovely staff. Will recommend to all who are going to cardwell!!!

Location was excellent as a base for ourselves looking around. The food was great and very reasonable priced. All staff were excellent.

There was nothing that displeased us. The mirror did just come off the wall with one hook not holding it properly and the batteries were flat in the TV remote but very small issues.
