The room was spacious and the kitchenette fantastic - with a full size fridge and freezer - AND ice in the freezer for a cool drink after a long drive. The kitchenette even had a small hotplate so if you wanted to cook a steak or cook a chicken schnitzel it was ideal to make a quick meal without having to dine out or get takeaway.

This was a quick overnight stay on a two day journey home to FNQ from Esk. The staff were great - check-in couldn't have been easier - and the room was perfect for what we needed. Will definitely book again next time I travel! Happy customers! :)

I have no complaints whatsoever. Everything was excellent. Service, cleanliness, facilities, beds were comfy and it was an enjoyable stay.

Aske I was offered a change of room and it was Immediately provided the staff also took the time to look in on my disability colleague while I attended a meeting he asked for coffee and it was bought over to our accommodation. with the comment that if anything else was required just ask. I love the family feel of the Motel and will certainly use when returning to Mackay fir business

Great for an overnight stay while travelling. Spacious room, very clean, had equipment in the room for self catering and sink. The motel is quite old but was great value. Nice pool area, although we didn't use it. Undercover car park. Good to be near Botanical Gardens to stretch our legs after long drive. There was a hotel in walking distance for dinner. Staff were helpful in giving us directions.

The motel is quite old, but clean and comfortable. It was value for money spent. The aircon was old but in reasonable working order. Considering that we booked only a short time before arrival, we were glad to have a motel that was reasonably priced and staff happy to help out on arrival.

No plug in the basin. I really dislike having to wash crockery etc in the same basin that is used for shaving and cleaning teeth. Would you do this at home? No, so why expect guests to do it? Provide a small plastic bowl.

I was travelling through town so the quite clean room & block out curtains meant I was able to sleep very well & felt great & refreshed for driving the next day. Very happy!!! I will definitly stay here again next time.

The room was a great size. Had a kitchenette as well. BBQ area and pool. I a handy location. Plenty of tea/coffee and sugar. Had an issue with the TV, but management where there immediately to solve the problem. Very accommodating

Naomi, the receptionist, is very kind and always willing to help with whatever you need. The place is quiet, ideal for resting. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and fully equipped with all the comforts. I’ll come back every time I’m in Mackay.

Great location, extremely clean, quiet room.

Shower curtain - water gets all over the floor & creates a slipping hazard. Cooking facility of a portable hotplates & 2 saucepans was a bit disappointing. An electric frypan would have been better as those hotplates are awful to use.
