Excellent location and friendly helpful staff. The room and bedding were very clean. WiFi was ok it bombed out the second evening of our stay. This is a solid 2.5 star budget but exceptionally clean. There were some cooking facilities and we were able to rustle up some local caught reef fish. I would stay again.0

Our last night we had noisy guests overhead loud music and jumping up and down.

Despite the photos and the external look of the property, The Rover proved to be a clean, comfortable and very affordable stay for the 5 adults we had travelling with us. Facilities allowed us to cook our own brewed coffee (yes I bring my own pot and beans), and steak and vegetables for dinner. The rooms were a great size and beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and the blankets were sufficient to stay comfy despite our adult children loving a very cold room for sleeping. It rained torrentially through our stay but undercover parking allowed the car to stay dry and we managed to stay dry throughout the stay. Fairly close to all shopping centers we had no trouble accessing the local facilities. Thankyou to the warm, welcoming and hard working managers - a lovely surprise and beautifully quiet place to sleep!

We were looking for a quick overnight stay before my family flew out of Mackay. This was definitely budget in price, but lovely and clean with everything we needed. Area was quiet and although the outside looks quite dated but the rooms were renovated and very comfortable and so clean! We’ll definitely stay again!

Lovely service, value for money and clean property.

We thought we booked a 2 bedroom apartment and on the description it said bedroom 1 & 2. Bedroom 2 was in the living area which is not ideal with 2 young kids. We needed 2 rooms seperate to everywhere else. But everything else was lovely.

The apartment was large, spotlessly clean and was like a home away from home. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to help. Extremely good value and I would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

It was within close proximity to CBD and short walking distance to IGA which is open 24/7. Nice and quiet area. Swimming pool and play area for the kids. The staff were very friendly and approachable. I highy recommend. :)

Very helpful and pleasant staff who made the checkin a breeze I have a large vehicle and the staff accommodated my request without hesitation even though there were no vacancies at the premises. Full booked out

a breakfast option available to guests on request. even one that is left in the fridge of the rooms so guests can serve themselves in the morning everything else was spot on and above par from my expectations

Great location, spacious room, very obliging staff and rooms have everything you could need for an extended stay.

Staff were extremely friendly. No problem at all with a late check in. Newly renovated bathroom. Spacious room for 3 adults traveling together. Well equipped kitchen with full size fridge.

Price was high for a fairly standard room.
