Room has all the facilities we expected for our 5 day stay, with regular visits by room staff to see if we needed anything extra. we were even given a loaf of special bread free of charge to make toast for the kids. Fridge worked exceptionally well considering the heat of the days. Air conditioner was very efficient, making our stay in the heat of Mackay very enjoyable. Within walking distance of supermarket, bottle shop and take away food. Restaurant had good meals, at fairly reasonable prices.

Parking was a bit of an issue, with some parking in the middle of the car park that made it a bit of a trial to back out of the "nose in" areas.

It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable The staff were friendly

My only complaint was the parking I had booked for 2 nights and was unable to park my car in front of the room I was staying in both nights I had to park my car 4 rooms away from the room I was staying in I noticed there were some people who were staying there who were staying in the one room but had two cars and these people were using the other rooms car parks for themselves I found it a little frustrating when packing the car up on the day I was checking out.

The place has been refurbished as its a older building definitely noticeable and more appealing to all other motels around central location. Clean The cleaning staff are very welcoming and friendly and the main manager guy at reception has exceptional customer service skills and was so eager to welcome us and tell us about mackay and all of the hotels facilities!

We had the family room whoch is fantastic in size however our main bed matress and pillows very old could do with replacing. fan in bathroom doesnt work and no window to vent in there.. blanket is also old and musty smell we chose not to use it. Inside is very stuffy needs to be opened up prior to guests arriving perhaps freshen up with room deodoriser . Understanding however as building is old these improvements would make it alot more fresher and inviting. Otherwise overall id stay here with my family afain definitely over the others in Mackay for sure. You can see this place is revamping and trying to improve given the age of the hotel.

My Husband and I stayed in the King Spa room. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was lovely and extremely clean. The owner was very nice, friendly and helpful. The motel has a laundry and you only pay for washing machines and the dryers are free. Parking is undercover outside of your room however if your car does not fit then there are a few allocated parks in the middle of the car park for bigger vehicles.

Everything about my stay here was great. Most importantly the hospitality. The management goes above and beyond to ensure your comfort and nothing is too much trouble. They are professional and actually care about their guests. They take care of the details and that's what is special about them. We travel regularly and this is the best place in Mackay. In Mackay unfortunately management just doesn't care most of the time - the old school hospitality is nowhere to be seen. It is interesting how when you stay there is no hospitality but when you leave they ask how they can improve your experience. By then it's too late! It was lovely to stay at this property. Thank you. The property was immaculately clean and close to everything. They have room service and serve great meals and you will find fresh herbs as garnish - basil and thyme was on my meal - not parsley. Details. They serve breakfast and lunches and everything is presented beautifully and competitively priced. I had to book 3 extra days - 1 day at a time and it was no problem and they allowed me to stay in the same room so I didn't have to move. I was worried because the property was full of cars each night so I presumed there might not be any rooms but they were able to and happy to accommodate me. I have had to do this at other places and at one place they made me move 3 times. And the property was empty there were only 2 or 3 cars in the place those nights that I stayed. I've never been back there since. I know hospitality having worked as a receptionist myself, I know it's not hard to move rooms around but you need a management that has some level of initiative and intelligence and who gives a damn and unfortunately that is sadly missing. I give 100%+ for this property and here we are - 2 days later, back again! And we will be back. :)

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was great here.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout our entire stay. The rooms are spacious with a cozy, 'lux' ski lodge vibe. Very clean and amenities are great. Undercover parking right outside your room, and although the restaurant is undergoing renovations, they still allowed for room service (we did not try it however). Great location - 5 minutes from the major shopping centre Canelands, and plenty of restaurants and takeaway options all within a close proximity (2-10 min drive). The pool is also very modern and great for small gatherings. Absolutely perfect for a short stay, and would be more than comfortable for a week!

Loved the owner he was very accomodating and helpful and friendly he was also very much an active hands on owner. In a great area and nice and clean, very happy. And the pool was beautiful and very clean.

Beds are like any normal hotel beds -not as good as home- but still had a resonable sleep. Wasn't the best shower head but gave the owner feedback upon check out and he was very eager to go fix it straight away which I love that.

Absolutely love this place! The attention to detail and those thoughtful little extras make all the difference. The customer service is truly unmatched ;warm, welcoming, and always attentive. And to top it all off, the sweetest fur baby is there to greet you with a wagging tail. I’m a happy return customer and will definitely be back again!

Comfortable bed and the best pillows I've had in the last two months on the road. Friendly manager, parking right in front of my room. Close to food options and main highway.

Noise from planes landing/taking off from the local airport. (Last plane was around 9pm...first one I heard in the morning was around 6.40am)

Last minute booking had not arrived at reception by the time I arrived, but manager was very friendly and helpful in confirming booking anyway. Clean and comfortable for a quick overnight stay. Great value for money.

Might be a bit small for two people if staying longer than overnight, but no concern for us this trip.
