Location was fabulous. Easy walk to shops or town. Close to the river which had a beautiful walking track. Rooms were a great size, bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. Continental breakfast was included with lots of choices. Microwave, toaster, kettle and cutlery etc. included. Pool area was clean and tidy. Plenty of chairs and table available to sit at.

Bathroom was a bit dated. A few marks on door jams and mirrors due to weathering and humidity. Rooms were only serviced every 3 days. (Stated serviced daily). When I went to use washing machine staff were using it to wash towels.

We had a 6 night stay in a standard room on ground level. Continental breakfast was included which suited us. Cereal, bread for toast, jam honey Vegemite and peanut paste. Butter, milk and juice. The room had a front and rear door great for sun streaming in and cool breezes. King size bed which was comfortable. Kettle, toaster, microwave and bar fridge. Compostable cutlery, plates and bowls. We went to the second hand store and bought 2 desert spoons and 2 knives and forks for $1.20. A wardrobe and chest of drawers are also in the room with an ironingboard. A comfy chair with foot stool. A bench with 2 chairs to eat at. Bathroom could do with a reno but nice hot water. We walked to all the restaurants nearby. Very quiet at night. The security lights outside light up the room a bit so eye masks would be good if you like a dark room. It also had air-conditioning and a ceiling. Casual 10 minute walk to Canelands shopping centre. There is a laundry with washer and dryer and clothesline. The swimming pool looked lovely but it was too cold for us. We enjoyed our stay.

We were very warmly welcomed at reception on arrival. We were given a ground floor room and parking as asked for. Our room was large and comfortable, especially the bed. The room was very clean and well appointed. The motel is definitely mid Mackay, so very easy to walk around, with some good restaurants nearby, also the big Caneland shopping centre was just a few blocks away. We were right beside the riverwalk, so that was good to walk along. The swimming pool was well used and it was great to have a laundry machine which was free for guests to use, as well as a dryer. Cereals and milk for breakfast was available to be picked up at reception, this was also complimentary. As the motel was at the end of the street, so no through traffic, so extremely quiet at night. We would highly recommend a stay here and we would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely nothing

Our spacious room was very clean, with plenty of storage space on & under the benches. Very comfortable king size bed, large frig, good lighting & WiFi. Free use of washer & dryer, plus a clothes line. Easy parking. The included ‘help yourself’ breakfast was greatly appreciated. The welcoming Manager was very helpful when I couldn’t operate the TV. Cleaning staff were friendly & helpful. Excellent value.

I didn’t like the strong smell of cleaning products when we first arrived, but this soon disappeared, once the window was opened. Minor maintenance was required, but there was nothing that affected us.

My partner and I enjoyed our short stay. The room was clean, cosy and big enough for the two of us. Bed is a king size and very comfortable to sleep in. Pool is nice and clean, we enjoyed our swim. Complementary breakfast at the admin office and pool towel provided was a bonus and nice gesture. Lovely lady with a baby girl who checked us in was lovely and friendly. Location is great too as is very central. Restaurant and shops are a short walk.

Great Motel, clean, little bit dated but comfortable, location is fantastic right near shopping centre, restaurants, mall area and swimming lagoon for kids, walking path along river is easy access. Stayed twice now because of the location and price for a quick over nighter. Staff are friendly, room is basic but everything you need for comfortable nights stay.

I liked the location. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach etc. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfy. On the ground floor you have a back door to an open lawn area and pool, with seating outside.

They gave me a free continental breakfast but was unable to access it. I left by 7.30am and maybe I misunderstood the time breakfast was available. (Probably 8am) But either way, my stay was good!

Where the property is positioned is brilliant, excellent coffee a short walk away, Canelands Shopping centre is only moments away as well- the pool is crystal clean and a delight to swim in, the staff are polite and accommodating, the manager James is amazing- he has gone above and beyond to ensure my stay is the very best it can be. He is warm and friendly, greeting me with a big smile no matter what time of the day it is…he is well suited to his role here and I wouldn’t hesitate to return next time I come through Mackay

The only thing I would say is where my room was the wifi wasn’t working the best- but after speaking to the manager they are looking at getting it sorted in the very near future

Arif is an absolute legend. You will not regret staying at his clean, classy, new motel. Relax by the pool, chill in the crisp clean sheets. Enjoy his welcome vibe and Colgate smile. Enjoy fresh smelling air conditioners no mould or musty stained anything anywhere. As a paramedic of 17 years it was a comfy night sleep and if you know any parmedic those REM sleeps are hard to come by.

This is my little getaway from my home life as A busy single mum to enjoy some down time & relax in the spa.

I’ve stayed here with u quite a few times over the last few months not once have I been asked to pay a $200.00 deposit, upon arrival on Tuesday afternoon I was hit with the $200 deposit cost. After speaking with staff at check in they waved it for me. When checking out on the Wednesday morning I made sure the room was left clean also assisted with helping by removing the sheets on the bed to help the cleaning staff, which they always do a fantastic job.
