This delightful oasis is one of my favorite places to stay, perfectly situated near all the essential shops and vibrant activities. Just a leisurely stroll away, you’ll find a charming pub and a welcoming restaurant, making dining incredibly convenient. The rooms, each exuding a quaint charm, evoke a warm sense of childhood nostalgia, inviting memories of simpler times. The staff consistently goes above and beyond, ensuring that every aspect of your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. For families, there’s a beautiful grassy area for children to play and an enchanting garden, complete with a lovely shaded seating area, where you can relax and unwind. This truly is a hidden gem, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Room size was satisfactory...colour scheme nice...very clean...pleasant staff ...very central... reasonable price

Be nice if the retro radio worked it's nice to listen to the local station if traveling solo but most people prefer the telly so hence why the radios not working...and I find most hotels don't supply lactose free milk...it's full cream always. Zymil lactose free is available in mini long life cartons...the choice is to buy a pack and take one with you.

Domestics where going on when we arrived, very run down, aircon sounded like a steam train, couldn’t sleep with it on. Very dodgy place to stay and won’t stay again.

Beds are uncomfortable, staff said it was a new bed, bed was okay however shower light didn’t work, so bathing a 2 year old was hard after arrival of 8pm was hard. Shutters didn’t close so room was cold, which didn’t help with the loud aircon. If you’re stopping over night to get ‘sleep’ this is not the place. Whole place stunk of pot.

Prime location in the heart of town, bed was comfy, decent shower. Value for money. The receptionist was lovely.

Place was a bit outdated and could do with a refurbishment; other than that no complaints.

Really enjoyed my stay at Paradise Lodge. Very clean and the shower was great. Bed was comfy. Very close to the main streets in Mackay, supermarket, shopping centre and bus stops. Staff were really friendly and got my room ready for an early check in. Definitely recommend

Allocated perfect trailer parking for my stop on route to cairns. Allowed pet friendly accomodation for a great price.

Ageing facility. No iron in the room. Noisy due to louvre windows.
