Driving my 85 year old father to our grandsons & his great grandsons wedding in Hamilton Island. Perfectly situated as we had hit a couple of shocker pot holes & needed a rim fixed & new tyres. Staying at the Metropolitan Hotel was one of the best pics I made for our trip. The staff could not be nicer, from the moment we checked in, amazing hospitality, even helped us with what to have for dinner (give the pasta marinara a try omgosh. delicious) The rooms are lovely, clean. fresh, great shower & very comfy bed. We cannot thank you enough, everything was spot on

Very friendly staff, helped to solve problems on our second stay, overall we had a wonderful experience, stayed twice and surely will be back. Very comfortable beds!

Dust on top of the fridge and kitchen shelves, it would be nice to have tea towels in the kitchen and cleaning cloth to wipe the kitchen bench, just two forks, better knives. On the last stay there were crumbs on the sheets of pull out sofa.

It was coming comfortable, clean and staff are all friendly

It was just on our last night where people come in and a group of people checked in together but they were in different rooms so they keep walking back and forth and don't care about other people resting so maybe next time put them in rooms next to each other

We thought the staff we came in contact with was oh so friendly and made us feel welcomed. Our room was clean n comfortable and had crockery n cutlery plus toaster as well as tea coffee etc. Will definitely would stay here again and recommend to friends .

Newly renovated rooms, comfy beds, clean ammenities, onsite restaurant/bar has a good menu and atmosphere. Check-in was easy at the downstairs hotel bar. Parking plenty. Located in the heart of town, everything is within convenient distance. Can't go wrong for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the room, very spacious and comfortable. Newly renovated so very clean and new. Had all amenities we needed along with a restaurant downstairs for takeaway or eat in.

Was a little noisy around 10pm but quickly quietened down. Hard to find where to check in. Everything else was great.

No breakfast. I didn't realise you did breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful but lacking product knowledge. Young fellow in drive through didn't even know you had accomodation yet alone where to check in. Young lady who checked me in didn't tell me where to leave the keys. Staff could be a big benefit to you with more training so they could upsell.

Paint peeling off ceiling in room, rusty door on fridge. The rooms could do with some maintenance.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Checking in was easy and smooth. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Just need to update the wifi password details on the flyer in the room. Was displayed in all capitals when it wasn't meant to be entered that way.

Check in was easy, staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bed/pillows comfortable, room included microwave, cutlery, plates ect. Great location for where we needed to be, and couldn't hear any noise from pub or traffic. Room was also dark (great for a sleep in)

Rooms above a pub/tavern. Very clean and comfortable. Nice beds, good pressure shower . Great food! A flight of stairs to get to refurbished room. More modern than expected . Just what we needed for a stopover on our way north.
