Location was great - very quiet and peaceful. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. It had everything that we needed. Parking was at a premium as the hotel was full, but the parking on the street was easy, plentiful and felt secure. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I wouldn't choose the included breakfast option if we stay here again in the future. As a person who can't tolerate regular milk, it was disappointing that no other alternative milks were offered. The room rate included a continental breakfast, consisting of cereals, toast, juice, tea, and coffee; however, not being able to have milk limited the options available for consumption. Out of a possible six breakfasts [three nights, two people], we had one meal. Overall, the room rate was so good it didn't matter, but we could have saved a bit.

I’d had no sleep prior to the morning I arrived in Mackay they were gracious to accommodate us to check in earlier, the staff in Genral were such pleasant people, great to have free breakfast every morning, you just had to help yourself, there was fruit, cereals, all different types of bread including croissants oh and banana bread😋, juice, coffee and tea etc, yogurt, fruit salad, it was positioned in a quieter location of Mackay and the bed was a king bed which I was extremely appreciative as I’m a bigger woman😊

Probably only 2 things I didn’t like about the property and that was not enough parking inside the hotel premises which is understandable as there was only so much space to fit cars in the premises. I’m a smoker and you are aloud to smoke on the balconies but the downfall is if it’s raining you are going to get wet😂 as the roof doesn’t go right over the balconies.

Very good value short stay. Extremely comfortable bed. Wheelchair accessible room with roll in shower. Outdoor courtyard space was a plus. Friendly and responsive staff members

Housekeeping & room maintenance needs more attention to detail; evident that our room had been "cleaned" in a haphazard and careless manner. Dirty crockery; used towel still in bathroom; used blanket and mattress protector stuffed into wardrobe; missing spare pillows; thick dust on carpet next to fridge/tea console; sliding door curtain coming unhooked & had no pull rod. Bedside lamps unplugged. The carpet was wet in front of the bathroom door which contributed to musty odour. Absence of towel rails and adequate dry space (eg: shelf) for toiletries Extremely poor lighting Overflowing garbage bin outside our room wasn't a welcome sight on arrival..my travel companion cleaned it up after it became apparent nobody else was doing something about it.

Amazing staff, easy check in and out, brilliant food in the cafe for both dinner and breakfast, super comfortable bed and very quiet. I had chicken parmi for dinner and it was the best I’ve ever had, and the staff are so friendly and accomodating. Would definitely recommend.

The bathroom door handle was slightly hanging off, but the manager said they are upgrading all bathrooms where I stayed. The wifi was a bit off and on, but that happens, and also the air con seemed to have a mind of its own 😉 but nothing that was a total “don’t stay there”.

They made the whole process very easy. We were travelling from far away and had a late check in, that was made very easy. The cleanliness of the rooms and the space they had for families was so nice to have after a long trip. The showers were refreshing and the soaps they have smelt amazing. The beds were very comfortable, and the small brekkie they offered was nice not to have to worry about going anywhere to feed the family before taking off again. Thank you for our stay it was amazing.

Was OK just fir a overnight stay , breakfast was ok nothing hot but knew that , breakfast was at 8am Saturday but it wasn’t ready , hot water urn was still cold & the one person staff was still bringing things out BUT for the price we paid for room including breakfast was good value , pool area wasn’t appealing, parking very tight . Screen door very old and stiff , very ordinary outlook . Smoke detector was covered UP !!! Not good

Good facilities in room and at hotel, they even have a restaurant although we did not use it.

The maintenance of the property could be improved. We had to change rooms twice - in 102 the rear patio doors could not be locked. In 120 the front door could not be closed as the lock plate was falling out and held by only one, far too short screw. The staff were very happy to assist us with room changes, but after a long drive to get there these hassles for fairly obvious issues were a bit of a pain. The location of the property is a good 30 mins walk from the nearest place to get a drink or evening meal- so not good if you don’t want to take the car…

Great location (quiet). Convenient check-in and tidy rooms. Breakfast was a plus as fewer places seem to offer this. Definitely great value and suited my needs. Loved the fact that the wetlands walk started just up the road, so I had a great morning walk.

I drive a largish vehicle, so for me, I found parking a little on the tight side.

Really comfortable roomy accommodation. Comfy bed and good facilities. My partner really enjoyed his steak meal from the restaurant delivered to our room too.

Room smelt mouldy/musty from the time we walked in. We tried to air it out but this didn't help unfortunately. We advised management upon leaving the next morning in case they weren't aware.
