The Motel was centrally located to shopping , and not far to drive to the Beach. We had a meal Sunday evening in The Dining area which was very nice. The unit was very well presented , plenty of room , the outside area with chairs, table , strategically placed under that tree which kept the morning glare out of the unit. I was pleased when my mobile phone was returned to me at dinner on the first night. It was found out the front car park by a member of the public, who enquired of staff and it was returned to me. I must have kicked it out the door when exiting the vehicle initially before we entered the building to register , and did not realize till we moved the vehicle round to outside our unit. The loss of a mobile phone engenders the same panic as when the cows get out on the highway ! I was particularly impressed with the actions of the Reception Manager, who, with quick thinking , rewarded the finder of my phone in a hospitable manner.

I have stayed a few times here when I need a little time to myself. l love sitting outside looking at the ocean views. Although I have asked for a particular room number on the last 2 occasions & have been granted this via email from bookings.com, I have not been given that room. Otherwise, I have been very satisfied & will continue to stay at Tannum Sands hotel/motel when I need a little time to myself. The meals are amazing

This is a 60’s style motel attached to a hotel beside a shopping complex and with views of the water. Inside had been refurbished tastefully and was more spacious than expected with huge grassed area out the front which further added to sense of space. Park your car right out the front of your room undercover which was fantastic in the torrential rain. Great to have the pub attached and we were not bothered by noise though perhaps rooms at pub end might hear more. Bonus is the drive through/ walk through bottle shop literally in the driveway. Supermarket and subway next door.

The location is excellent. The restaurant at the hotel itself is a great option to eat plus there are multiple options nearby. The staff at the reception was very helpful and quick with the check-in. The ability to park my car right outside the room was also handy. The place reminded me how Australians motels like these always make it so much easier to be a tourist in this country and enjoy these gems of places like Tannum Sands

Room was comfortable with good facilities eg microwave, toaster,kettle ,fridge & breakfast cereals. We had a really nice meal in the bistro the previous night . Location was perfect for us as tannum sands is halfway fom Gold Coast to Mackay and provided an enjoyable stopover for our journey . We will make this our regular place to stay when we travel up & down the coast.

The staff are Brilliant - no matter who I dealt with Location perfect halfway point between Mackay and Brisbane' Quality meals Indoor /outdoor and in room dinning Option for entertainment at the pokies Rooms are comfortable and clean and the showers are awesome after a day of travel

Nothing this is my fourth time staying here. It's our go to when travelling to Brisbane

good location, room was good size, private bathroom. our room had Seaview (sea is a distance away) we stayed over the weekend and enjoyed buffet breakfast Sunday morning $20 each was very good I feel as was lots of choices.  bottle shop and bar, restaurant all only a few steps away really. also right beside shopping centre which has coles,subway and a bunch of other things and across the road is kfc as well so lots of choices for a feed.

shower temperature was inconsistent but this isn’t a big issue. milk was frozen as fridge seem to freeze, again wasn’t a big issue. couple little things but good value for money.

Quiet, clean, water pressure in the shower was amazing and there was a coffee shop in walking distance I think it was called Blend which has great coffee and friendly staff.

Stayed to visit family so location perfect and hotel facilities perfect to have a meal and drink Only grievance was the pillows all bar one were way too low more like a child's pillow so not good for sleeping unless you doubled up or folded them over then a bit too high This was the case in both rooms

Our room had an outside sitting area next to a large, well mown grassy area (not sure if part of the hotel or a vacant block that the hotel takes care of) which is high enough on the hillside to give us views down to the Tannum Sands waterfront area. A walk down to the waterfront in the evening took us to a large, well attended monthly market and the same walk in the morning showed how well the markets were cleaned up. A fantastic location for a "pub hotel room"!
