Lots of facilities in the hotel. We had a fun stay! Location is good for us to see penguins! Everything is clean, including glasses and plates in the kitchen. The washing machine and dryer were great! However it wasn’t advertised in the booking page. But it was a nice surprise! Staff are friendly!

The villa is a bit old. There’s no heating in the room and the blankets are thin. It was v cold at night. I had to put on extra jumper to be able to sleep. It would be good if the colour of the lighting can be changed to warm yellow, but not white as it gives it like a hospital vibe instead of a warm holiday house.

Pools were great, all in working order and clean. Location was great.

One of the features of the property was the wildlife, which we understand and appreciated. We did not however think that the tree next to our Villa which conveniently grew up and straight onto our roof was ideal, as it was a gateway to possum activity at night and they constantly and very loudly would run back and forth over our tin roof throughout the night. I think that ensuring branches and trees were pruned to make climbing onto roof lines difficult for them would be the best approach for guests to enjoy quiet nights in there villas.

The whole resort gave off a very rustic feel. There were things to do within the resort itself, such as go kart and there was even a game room with very old school games. Plenty of wildlife to see in the resort as well. There were purple hens every where and we even spotted some rabbits, ducks and wallabies! We were able to do some cooking in our room although we would have loved to do bbq for one of our days there but it was unfortunately rainy during our stay. The washer and dryer provided in the room worked well for us. At check in, the staff gave us a map that helped us to orientate easily.

Things felt a little dated, such as the bathroom and the kitchen area although they are sufficient. The roads are not well lit and the signages are small, so when we came back at night, we had to drive very slowly and carefully in order not to miss our room.

Surroundings were lovely. Although we didn’t eat at the restaurant, the food served looked and smelt delicious. Good quality toiletries supplied. Loved the fact there was a seperate vanity in the toilet as 3 ladies getting ready at the same time can be a juggle. Lovely tea and coffee and hot chocolate provided. Beds were comfortable. Villa also had a decent sized fridge, not just a bar fridge.

Indoor pool & sauna was out of action when we wanted to use it. Tried to use sauna by games room but wasn’t hot. Advised staff who came to check control panel, didn’t pop her head in to tell us what she had done and nothing changed so had to leave sauna

Cabin (3 bedrooms) was fantastic. Very spacious and comfortable. My daughter & I both agreed that the beds were firm, and at first were concerned but then slept like logs! Bathroom spotless, sparkling! Thankyou to housekeeping. LOVED the cafe coffee . Perfect and ended up having two

The only thing was the floors were wet in the hallway, ladies showers , making it extremely slippery and as it was a cold day they didn’t look like drying at all. My grandson went flying . Also after a swim and then getting changed in the ladies change room/showers there were no benches to sit on or put your clothes and shoes down. Made it extremely hard to get all of us changed without our clothes and towels getting wet on the already wet floor. Hooks and benches please! And non slip matting too

The resort was perfect for the kids to explore, ride bikes, swim and play games. Our room had a beautiful view of a paddock with plenty of wildlife. The café served great food and the woodfired pizzas were delicious. The resort had a nice relaxed feel and only a 3km drive or walk into town.

The room needs a little TLC. Stains on the curtains, a dirty shaggy rug (that we got removed) rocks and dirt on the patio and a really old mat at the door. They came and cleaned the patio for us on request and said the curtains were getting cleaned soon... A few updates could make it the perfect family resort.

The hotel is well-equipped with all the cooking essentials, generally clean, and up to standard, making us feel welcomed during our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the presence of wild animals around the premises added a unique touch to the experience.

We encountered a rat in the room that ate one of our instant noodles, which was concerning. Additionally, while the living room had a heater, the sleeping room did not, which made it a bit uncomfortable during colder nights. Overall, it was a welcoming stay with some issues that could be improved.

Loved the way the cabins were set out on site with a lot of space between each. The cabin itself was well laid out and functional - it had everything we needed. We made use of the BBQ facilities onsite as well.

The shower was very small .. no ceiling fan in the bedroom. I found the marketing push a bit much - during the booking confirmation there was some offer of something if we watched a presentation on arrival. This may appeal to some but not us - but after opting out of all the marketing offers which are all over the registration paperwork they did not follow up or push harder which was great.

Excellent location, close to tourist attractions and Cowes town centre. Family friendly property with plenty of onsite activities and facilities regardless of weather status. The paddle cart is a unique activity and we enjoyed it tremendously. EV friendly with ample charging station for guests. The onsite woodfire pizza is delicious, best to end the day with some pizza after a long day of activities.

The resort looks nice externally but quite dated internally. I would recommend that the resort provide in house slippers for the guests for hygiene purpose since the property is surrounded by nature.

The villa was bright, clean, comfortable. It was just a few minutes walk to the leisure centre which has an indoor pool for swimming lenghts. There's also a hot tub and a large outdoor pool and another pool to sit in which is smaller, and is heated, and you can turn on the bubbles/jacuzzi whenever you want. Staff were lovely and friendly, and helpful, which I think is absolutely essential for any resort. TV in the sitting room had access to free TV/free movies. They provide tea/coffee/sugar/salt/pepper/washing up liquid. There is a clothes washing machine and dryer and have quick cycles, which is great. It was quiet/well-built. As long as you have a car, it's handy to get around to see the Penguins and Koala Park and the local town. The layout of the villas is a little confusing though.

Not a complaint at all, just a recommendation. It would be handy to have extra tinfoil to keep the oven clean. It is lined when you get there, but that means that once you use that, you need to throw that away and use it without any, unless you have brought your own.
