Island Accommodation is a great budget-friendly option, especially for groups of friends traveling together. The setup is similar to a small hostel, with bunk beds inside the rooms and shared facilities on each floor, including the kitchen, living area, and bathroom. While you do have to share these spaces with other guests, everything is kept very clean and well-maintained. However, it’s important to note that parties and alcohol are not allowed, making it a quieter and more relaxed environment. If you’re looking for an affordable and social place to stay without the party scene, this is a great option!

Good location, friendly and professional customer service. Clean and nice bedroom with comfy large mattress and clean bathroom. Nice and clean kitchen and lovely balcony where you can relax your time.

The property was perfect, but unfortunately there was a large group of uni students that weren’t very considerate, they basically saw the first floor had their own rather than a shared space. They were very noisy and took up a lot of space in the kitchen. They put on loud music in the eating area before 8am. They placed football in the carpark and using my car to put their drinks and jacket on, that wasn’t very nice. The manger of the hostel, gave access to the kitchen at the second floor to have more relaxing time. We suggest to the manager next time to keep an eye to large groups.

Excellent location, just close to bus stop and 10 minutes walk from San Remo where you found all services. The building is new and more functional. Rooms and common areas very large. Each floor have an Indipendent kitchen fully equipped. Excellent Wi-Fi signal. Special attention in cleaning and maintenance activities. Staff very friendly, always available to provide information and assist guests in any situation. The Island Accommodation is one of the best hostels that I found around the world. Absolutely recommended.

Really nice and clean kitchen facilities, rooms were clean and comfortable too. There was lots of living space accessible to guests, including a separate TV room, as well as places to sit and eat, or read or chat. There were outside spots too with tables and chairs however it was too cold for me to make use of them! Located very easily at the start of the island off the main route through, and ample parking.

The bedroom doors closed with loud bangs so you could hear other guests entering and leaving their rooms on the other side of the corridor

Very clean room and nice, functional shared facilities (airconditioned which was great in the heat/humidity). Even with a large group of teen boys taking over almost the whole floor I was on it stayed pretty quiet.

It was pretty hot over a few days and lack of aircon in the rooms was noticeable! Lack of access to the kitchen late at night was a bit annoying but I appreciate that it keeps things quiet for everyone.

Location excellent, facilities excellent, kitchen area above and beyond.

On an evening/night a lack of staff presence can cause other guests (namley large groups) to break rules and make life uncomfy for other guests eg. Blaring music until early hours or delibreatley making messes for other guests/staff to clean up.

Broken chairs on rooftop- space could be much better utilised, especially if it had functioning chairs and at least 4-6 chairs. Price for a dorm bed in $50s for a 12 share and $80s for a 6 share is simply too much and counter incentive to use you more. I do little getaways regularly and would come more often and stay longer if price was more consistently cheaper.

If you want a cheap get away and not into camping then I would recommend staying here for the price you pay you can’t expect much more

Could of atleast had a mini fridge and a kettle and a toaster and cutlery even if it’s just cheap Kmart ones so you can can have break fast in the room and a coffee and put some cold drinks in the fridge rather then having to use a shared kitchen

The communal kitchen/ lounge, the clean bathrooms. Good fridges, food storage. Well equipped kitchen

The 10.45pm closure of the kitchen/living room is very early and is not something l have experienced in other hostels. Same goes for the alcohol ban, which is usually fine to consume in moderation at other yhas No bedside /Individual lamps for the bunk beds

Extremely clean and friendly staff! We accidentally lost one of our keycards but the staff was nothing but kind. Only a short walk to the shops and the beach as well as right next to the Newhaven bus stop (newhaven turnoff/forest ave for those taking PTV like us!)

I wasn’t sure if we needed to bring our own bed sheets that but wasn’t the case.
