We liked everything at the property. The owner welcomed us on the day and catered for all of our needs. It’s an amazing place to stay for families with small and older children. We particularly enjoyed the use of the tennis court and the pool (hot tub was a bonus). We wanted a place where we had the flexibility to cook a meal and the kitchen had all the essentials. Small split systems in all bedrooms and main area as well as heating. The shower had really good pressure and was clean. It’s not very modern or anything new but new enough to cater for everyday needs. We had the room with the double bed and I must say the bed was the most comfortable bed and I have stayed in many places. Thank you Jan and Bill for letting us stay at your beautiful lodge. We can’t wait for our next visit!

The kids playground could do with a little update but the swings were great so the boys enjoyed it.

The property was quiet and in a lovely location and I enjoyed having access to Foxtel. My grandchildren would love the duck pond and playground on the island. It is located across from a grassed area and river which is lovely to walk along. We stayed here for the football and it was an easy enjoyable walk to GMHBA stadium.

I would have liked the WIFI to be included. I didn't realise you had to pay for this separately and by the time I realised it was too late.

Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy and well maintained throughout the property. Excellent facilities within the unit - very well self-contained and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds/linen, and extra towels supplied for pool was very helpful. Very effective air conditioning throughout unit. Very clean bathroom and shower had good water pressure. Great pool and spa, with recliners to relax poolside. Location was quiet and main shops/supermarket etc only a 3min drive away

I had an amazing stay at Barwon Valley Lodge! The beautiful location, surrounded by nature, provided a serene escape. The abundance of child-related activities and sports amenities kept everyone entertained. The atmosphere was incredibly calm and quiet, offering a perfect retreat. The easy accessibility, coupled with the friendly staff, made the experience seamless. The room was not only comfortable but also well-equipped with fantastic amenities. Overall, a delightful stay that exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this gem!

The heater was not working, and unfortunately, we only discovered this issue when the reception was closed, so we were unable to seek help. While this is not a significant concern, I reckon that if the front desk staff had been available, they would have assisted in resolving the matter.

A beautiful small property with great fun & sports activities like tennis court, swimming pool and kids play area. A beautiful pond inside the property and Barwon river just outside, for great walks on the banks. So close to the city centre too. Rooms were nice and spacious and had all the essentials in the kitchen and laundry!!

Everything was great.

The property was in line with what is shown on Booking.com website. We booked a studio apartment but were pleasantly surprised to find we had been put in a 2 bedroom apartment. As our stay was only an overnight one we did not avail ourselves of the facilities on offer (pool, tennis court etc) but could see that the property is well maintained.

We couldn't really find a fault during our short stay. The only thing that we could mention that in the shower of our unit (No 6) the exhaust fan required cleaning. This is only mentioned as information for the property owners.

The surroundings, the room and the lodge were all spacious, comfortable and clean. It was much bigger than I expected and the location felt quiet (other than being close to the road which was fine) and close to everything we needed. I would definitely stay again. Thanks

Room was spacious & really clean. Pool was warm and looks very well maintained. Staff were friendly & helpful. Plenty of parking Well maintained grass areas & lovely palm trees, feels quite tropical.

Cheap toilet paper (& wish we had our dog with us) - but that's literally the only thing I could fault.

Kids loved the pool. Nice that we had a unit that was well spaced out with parking at our door. Lovely grounds and generally well maintained. We only stayed one night this time. Barwon Valley Lodge could easily be used as a base from which you can explore the area. We plan to return and stay a few nights to do just that. We got a good night's rest, the beds were comfortable and the unit had all we needed. A pleasant stay.

Some areas in our unit could benefit from a deep clean (tops of things and window sills as some were hard to open/close). Overall, not too bad though.

The staff were friendly and only too happy to help with our request for needing an extra bed so that all four of us ladies had our own bed. The gardens are beautiful, and it is on a busy road, but the apartment felt private and peaceful.
