Nice room with all the bare minimum necessities, quite clean, well maintained and overall very good for the price. Lovely location and spacious property.

The reception was not staffed at all times, and there were no intercoms in the room, so it was a bit difficult to ask for help when needed. We stayed in the back of the building on the 1st floor and the entrance doors needed some maintenance as it was easy to get locked out because of the faulty lock system. Definitely recommend saving the motel's reception number on your phone for instances like that!

The rate & location to Warringal Private Hospital, where my spouse was to have a revisionary hip replacement the next day. So convenient, very cosy, private parking, secure & close to Bell St.

No dislikes, but unfortunately I did not ask for downstairs room, being 78 and having fairly cumbersome luggage. Will know next time to request downstairs. One other small detail was that the office was unmanned in the morning when I required a receipt, which in hindsight I should have paid on arrival. Bob C.

Easy access to where we needed to go. It was clean

We booked 1 night but plans changed and needed a 2nd night. Our original room was not available for the 2nd night. We were told on arrival that we could stay in our 1st room until the 2nd was available. This was obviously not passed onto the cleaners. Multiple times the cleaners knocked on our door and asked us when we were leaving.

location - easy walk and tram ride north to La Trobe University and south to many good cafes and restaurants on High Street. Clean rooms. comfortable Beds.

The motel didn't have a laundry room so we had to find a laundromat down the street. It was a fair walk lugging a bag full of dirty washing. And the room we stayed in (Twin room), didn't have a microwave. Otherwise, everything else was okay.

The property was great, better than what I’ve experienced in other places. Had a little pool outside and very nice style.

Legit the only thing I could say could be improved is the window security as they looked to be quite broken as the fly screens were ripped and easily accessible from the outside and the water pressure for the bathroom.

Price point was great and staff were really friendly. Property was very dated but facilities mostly in good order (i.e. the shower screen had been replaced as well as the sealant). The hot water was excellent and the shower pressure was great. Parking was also great and the place was easy to get to.

There weren't as many things provided as I thought there would be, for example no tissues or shower cap. It was also quite cold and there were no additional blankets. The toilet top was broken and the buttons were covered in dirt. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work, and as the door to the room opened straight into the room without an entryway, I felt a little exposed. Also, while being on Bell Street was great for location, the room being on that side of the block meant it was so noisy, even with the windows closed, so I didn't get very good sleep the nights that I stayed due to the traffic.

The motel was great. I loved that they didn't have housekeeping visit during my stay so I didn't have to worry about people coming in or wasting water washing sheets and towels after one use. I really liked the use of the zero co products in the bathroom as they're good quality and sustainable. The staff were lovely and I appreciated being able to keep my luggage there until my late flight home. It was a pretty short walk from shops, the tram and bell train station, however I wouldn't recommend staying here on a first visit to Melbourne just because it's away from the city centre and doesn't have a full concierge like you would get in a full hotel or backpackers.

It was a bit further out of town than I would've liked. I wanted to explore the inner north but probably should've stayed a bit closer to Clifton hill or Fitzroy. I wouldn't have minded some dishwashing liquid so I could wash my own dishes, another type of tea on offer (English Breakfast!) and maybe another blanket in the cupboard would've been good.

Very clean hotel and close to everything we wanted to see and do in the area. Close stroll to High st for a yummy dinner. Easy drive to Preston market. The rooms were really spacious and very clean. The spa bath was a bonus. Very secure hotel. Friendly managers to boot!

If I am being honest the bed wasn't great but everything else made up for it and I would still stay again. I have had worse!

Great, functional no-frills motel at a spectacular price for grand prix weekend. Easy access to the city via train or taxi. Sure, it’s a bit dated but everything works well, it’s clean and comfortable and the staff are lovely.

Comfortable bed, nice nightstand with lamps, table for eating. Plated and flatware provided in microwave. Pamela was helpful and friendly!

It would have been nice to know there were plates and flatware as we had takeaway food which we ate before looking in microwave!
