Fabulous accommodation in a peaceful setting! My partner and I were upgraded to the 'Stables', which provided a warm, inviting, and luxurious stay without any feeling of it being 'over the top'. It would have to be "up there" in terms of the best overnight accommodation I have stayed at! The surrounding gardens were fabulous, and the location was great in terms of its access to the delights of Sale and of East Gippsland generally. Tim at Reception was very friendly, genuine, and welcoming I will make a point of staying here again!
There was nothing to dislike!

Nice little place off the beaten track so very quiet and peaceful. The room had every amenity that you need for a short stay. The host resides off the property but is close by and very responsive to any enquiries or requests. There is no restaurant or meal provision at the site, (other than a microwave and toaster) but the host provides a list of his recommendations for nearby restaurants and cafes that we tried and they proved to be excellent choices.
The bed was on an exposed loft with a sloping roof of wooden rafters that took some negotiating when getting in and out of the bed.

The little cottage was well setup, clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and the grounds were very calming. There is attention to detail, with the room heated pending my arrival. There was adequate tea and coffee supplies with detailed instructions on how to use the various remotes and equipment in the room. The cottage also came with a thoughtful nightcap for the end of day.
There was no breakfast when I stayed, maybe due to the owner being overseas. However there were some cafe recommendations left for me, which are easy to find and serve a great breakfast.

We stayed in the stables and it was just gorgeous, beautiful and tastefully furnished. Well equipped with mod cons. Beautiful stain glasses windows. Amazing old brickwork. The furniture was comfy and appropriate to the style of the building. I especially loved the heritage style claw bath that I got to soak in. The huge shower with twin (one each) shower heads were fantastic. Tim was very welcoming and very accommodating , nothing was a bother for him (not that we had any) and it was a pleasant surprise that he checked in via text message with us if he was going to be away from the building. We only stayed 2 nights but I could see myself easily staying there for a week. Definitely would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Sale.
There was nothing that I didn't like at all about this accommodation.

Lovely period property sympathetically decorated and kitted out with quality furnishings and equipment. I've never seen such a fancy kettle. Property has beautiful garden available to guests. Personal welcome from owner Tim who takes an interest in you without being intrusive. Oh, and it was fantastic value for money. If your idea of luxury is based on a 5* corporate hotel, this isn't for you, but for the rest of us this is a little slice of luxury delivered with character, comfort and a personal touch.

Friendly welcome and a very nice room. Excellent location and easy parking. Excellent and comfortable bed. We forgot our charging cable in the power point and Tim called us right away, so we were able to retrieve it, thank you Tim.
We were struggling with the very complicated Microwave. The coffee machine did not work and there was no instant coffee available. Only a small table with one chair so we had no chance to play scrabble.

Great idea converting old farm buildings etc into accommodation for the property. Loved that the decor was relevant to the heritage of the property but had all the modern conveniences you could want. Plenty of heating options for a cold evening, TV in lounge area as well as bedroom, beautifully maintained. Owner was away during our visit but communicated really well with instructions and photos on how to access our room....very necessary for us as we arrived quite late in the evening!
Only thing that was a very slight negative for us was that we hadn't checked out the property website prior to making our reservation so were unaware that our allocated room had a loft/mezzanine space for the bedroom which had to be accessed by stairs and the ceiling height was very low for one side of the space. Although in the "mature" age group, we could manage it OK but others may not be able to, so this should possibly be advised in advance. Absolutely NOT a true negative though!

We liked our host and the flexibility with checkout timings. The property was well maintained and very spacious for our family. We saw a hare at the property and my kid liked it a lot. We were able to walk arounf the property to explore the garderns as well. Loved sleeping in the attick was very cosy.
The mattress in the King bed was a litte soft and I personally prefer form matteess to sleep on. Bedroom number 3 did not have any aircon and it was cold in the night. But there were other bedrooms we took to and it was not a hassel at all as the property has 5 bedrooms.

A beautiful homestead turned B&B. I grew up in this town and remember riding past this property as a kid, it looks even more beautiful these days. The gardens and entire property are well kept and lovely to wander around. Our room was immaculate and styled beautifully. We will definitely be coming to stay here when back in town again. Thank you.

The room had been well-converted and it was clear that corners weren’t cut, resulting in a more pleasant experience for guests. There were curtains for all the windows, including the ones on the doors. It was very clean. (Also a bonus - this cute cat(?) print on the wall 🥹)
The doors have a slight draft so while I was warm, I wasn’t toasty.
