I had stayed at the hotel several time in the past, and I keep returning. It is a bit outside Altstadt (15-20 minute walk to Mozartplatz/Residenzplatz), which is reflected in the price compared to more centrally located options. I needed to be close to Nonntal, so the location is perfect for me. I asked for and got a room with a view of Hohensalzburg, which is nice. The room is spacious, the bathroom even more so (the shower cabin is quite small, but functional). The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating.

Quite expensive, and getting more and more expensive every time I come. This time it was the Festival time, which is an excuse, I suppose. Poor lighting in both the room and the bathroom. I asked for a double bed, but got twins put together. Not a big deal.

Everything was excellent. The hotel is very nice, located in a quiet residential neighborhood, about a 20–25 minute walk from the city center and around 20 minutes on foot to Hohensalzburg Fortress. Right next to the hotel there’s a stop for bus line 5, which goes to the city center and the train station. You can also get off at Mirabell Square and take bus 150 to the popular tourist towns in the lake district near Salzburg. The bed was comfortable, and there’s a large window that can be opened. There’s air conditioning, which was very helpful during the hot summer days. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. I had some unexpected situations during my stay and they really supported me — it meant a lot. I liked the hotel very much and even extended my stay. Highly recommended.

Some rooms are above an Italian restaurant/Pizzeria. If you don't like the smell, make sure in advance you get another room. As for me - it did not bother me.

Exceptional from the first moment. The staff were great and truly going out of their way, already giving me a room when I arrived at 830am which is obviously way before the normal check-in time. No extra charge either. Just amazing. Nice room, beautiful way of the castle and walking distance to it as well. Public transport stop right in front and a free public transport ticket comes with the room. Never experienced that either, so great though. I went all the way to Wolfgangssee free of charge. Truly great stay and excellent value for money in the high season. 12/10, would stay again without any doubt.

I requested single beds and that request was met. The location was perfect for us because my daughter lives close by and it is a relatively short walk to get into the city centre. The breakfast was nice. We would have had it more often if it was cheaper. Hotel breakfasts tend to be too expensive so many people just go out.

We would have preferred tea/coffee facilities rather that a mini bar. The room and the common parts were very warm (waste of energy?). We had to open a window. Our towels were changed EVERY DAY which is an unnecessary additional expense. The bathroom is massive with a comparatively small shower cabinet. Convert half/quarter of it into a wet room...?

I've been here the last year and gladly came back. The room was very clean, the position of course is really good and the view also was nice. Unfortunately what doesn't give a 10 is how we have been welcomed by the staff, with a really bad price comunication. We came in the evening and we've been told that dogs would pay 15€/night and it was okay. The day after another receptionist told us we still needed to pay for the dog stay. Then we've discovered that dogs pay 30€/night, and considering that we have a 4kg and 9kg dog it is a bit high. But as I said before the price itself was not the problem but how it was communicated to us. I still would like to advice the place but of course not with dogs.

+ We got upgraded to a nicer and more spacious room with a kitchen box and a coffee machine. + The hotel has a small parking but we were lucky there was space to squeeze our car in every time. + Our room had a nice sunset view and if you look out of the window you could see the castle! + Staff was friendly

- The TV remote controller didn't seem to work even after changing batteries. - The parking IS small. - In the evening if you open the window, you can smell every pizza that was being prepared in the nearby Italian restaurant

Arash who works on reception most days - incredibly helpful and friendly. Couldn't do more for us and always with a smile. Hotel is in a good location, they even gave us a free bus pass with buses stopping just outside the hotel and which run into the centre of town every 10 minutes.

Female receptionist when checking out was abrupt and quite rude. Turn heating down in the corridors and bathrooms - too warm for Spring!

Small family hotel, with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Slightly out of the way, but also close to the center. The room is equipped with everything you need, and all devices work correctly. Clean and tidy. Tasty breakfasts, friendly and smiling staff. In the same building a good pizzeria, right next to a shop and a trolley bus stop. To sum up, I recommend it strongly!

This is not a hotel, this is a fairy tale! :) I woke up early in the morning from the singing of birds, opened the window to the garden and just stood and admired this heavenly feeling! First of all, a huge thank you to the staff - the hotel manager helped me park the car, he ran out of the hotel and walked a long distance with me to help me! The hotel rooms are very spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazingly delicious! The lady was making fresh scrambled eggs and omelettes! The location of the hotel is ideal, you can see the huge castle on the hill from the street! We just fell in love with Salzburg and will come back to the same hotel for a long time!

The only small negative is that the hotel does not have an elevator. Lifting heavy suitcases up the small stairs was not very easy. Please create a paid service for loaders (butlers), we are ready to pay for it! There are no more cons. The hotel is perfect!

Very accommodating staff, good breakfast. Comfortable beds (2 twins pushed together). Good wifi (used own HDMI cable to connect laptop for Netflix). Quiet location (to rear of building). Easy 20 minute walk to town. Grocery close. Water kettle on request. A/C. Elevator. Mini fridge.

Really small room (tho others are available). Free parking in back is a free for all shared with Italian restaurant downstairs. Can be challenging to find a place and maneuver out again.
