Great location and great staff!! Marie was a wonderful host.

Property has no air conditioning. Fans worked okay, but atmosphere was very humid due to unusual amount of rain. Minor issue with street noise since our window faced major pedestrian walkway. Also, road construction just outside so jack-hammering beginning 8:00 on several mornings.

First and foremost, the staff is excellent. Friendly, helpful, smiling. They make you feel like it is a pleasure to help you with your request. The room was very clean. It was also very nice from esthetic point of view.

Despite all my praise listed above, I am not staying here again. You would have to be a little deaf to enjoy your stay. The elevator engine is quite loud and I could hear it in my room every time someone used the elevator (the sound was as if someone in the next room turned on a loud vacuum cleaner). Also, the sound insulation between mine and the next room was poor in the bathroom area. I didn't enjoy having a good idea about my neighbors' encounters with the toilet. And I didn't enjoy hearing their morning spit into the wash basin either.

The staff were lovely and friendly, always happy to answer questions or show you something on their maps. The property itself is in a great location, very easy to access all parts of Salzburg from here and to arrive via public transport, it is an easy bus ride from the Train station to almost the front of the hotel. The room was lovely, just as shown in photos and enough room for a single traveller.

The bed was really really bad, there was a huge dip in the centre which made it really uncomfortable to sleep in, and in such a spot and large enough that I couldn't try to sleep around it unfortunately.

This place was easy to get to and located strategically near major tourist attractions and surrounded by good food. The staff esp Marie and one more lady I forget her name were exceptionally nice and friendly, they greet you with a smile, suggest activities we can do and nearby restaurants. They have free flow candy and lemon water in the lobby which is lovely. The room is quaint, has tea and coffee facility. We had an issue with the bathroom, the management got it solved in the same day.

The Heater is temperature regulated so if you feel cold and the heater doesn’t heat up just let the staff know, they’ll give you some extra duvet to keep you warm.

The location is fabulous and the pool area and beach were a great bonus. This is a large hotel but our room (a junior suite) had an enormous balcony and was beautifully decorated and felt very private. There are plenty of small restaurants in easy walking distance. Decent food at the pool bar and a good restaurant

One slight niggle is that unlike many hotels our dogs could not accompany us to the pool and there is a tiny bit of beach where dogs can be with their owners rather than be left in the room.

If you’re looking for a basic hotel in a great location for a decent price, this hotel fits the bill. The beds are comfortable, bathroom serviceable and clean. We are a family of 4, and every other hotel I viewed was 2x what we paid here because we would have had to have gotten 2 rooms - this hotel had a two-bedroom which made it much more affordable. The location was PERFECT - walkable to everything we wanted to see and do in Salzburg. We did not have the breakfast as it was expensive (25 euros per person) but it looked nice and the staff graciously gave us coffees and juices to go. One other note - pay close attention to the directions for arrival - the hotel is on the old town and you have to park in a deck nearby. If you have a lot of bags, you can drive up for a short period but it’s a little complicated. Overall a good experience.

Note before booking that this hotel does NOT have air conditioning. Fortunately it was not crazy hot when we were there and the hotel provided fans in both rooms. The second issue was that the ceilings and walkways were very low. My husband is 6’4” and hit his head or had to duck more times that I can count. Probably not a problem for people are aren’t tall.

We were upgraded to a quadruple room that looked directly out onto the lovely street. Horse -drawn carriages walked by below and the old town was literally at our doorstep. We were there four rainy days as the festival was being set up, and the staff was very helpful at guiding us, speaking English and using the map to point out directions. We loved the size of our room for two people. We ended up spending quite a bit of time there, and very comfortable and cozy.

Perhaps a map of just the Alstadt section blown up larger so that it was easy to see and navigate would be helpful. The area is delightfully maze like, and the setup of the festival made it even more challenging to make our way around although we did.

I have stayed at this family run hotel in the Altstadt of Salzburg many times. It is close to everything I want to visit, rooms are clean and comfortable, Nice breakfast in the morning and wonderful staff. They kept me informed about all of the local activities. They had a 3 day music festival that I wasn’t expecting, but it wonderful to hear all kinds of music all over town, and all free. Staff kept me posted on the things I shouldn’t miss.

All staff members couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Very central location in delightful old town area and also close to bus routes, including serving the railway station. Excellent breakfast, beautifully served, including linen tablecloths and a daily 'newsletter' written by the hotel.

There is no aircon which I suspect could be a problem as Salzburg can be very hot in summer. However, we were perfectly comfortable in mid April. I feel sure fans would be provided and windows do open.

The property is in a very convenient, central location yet on a quiet road. The staff was wonderful during the booking process as well as during our stay.

We were in room no 27 which was right by the elevator. This can happen and but the sound proofing was so little, that we heard every move of the elevator. Not only ppl getting on and off but the literal sound of the elevator cables moving up and down. We are not super early risers and also jet lag took its toll, and I still would have appreciated getting a good nights sleep. The elevator is in use from 5am in the morning. We let the staff know, however they were fully booked. Since we only stayed 2 nights we just rolled with it.
