Considering that the hostel is at the lower end of the price range, the room was okay, the facilities (luggage storage, bar, guest laundry and kitchen) were not too many, but acceptable. The beds were good, the room was clean so was the bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful, all of our requests and issues were sorted out quickly.

On many surfaces the paint job was slightly damaged, this includes walls, furniture and equipment. Our rooms windows opened to the court where an open air bar is located with some really noisy people (not directly the hotel's fault, but still makes sleeping hard) The windows had to be kept open, as there is no air conditioning. When we arrived, the bunk beds were not made, when we complained about this, the receptionist said that this is how it is done, the bunk beds are made by the guests...it is an unwelcome new development in the hotel industry I guess.

At first we really liked the staff because they were kind and helpful with the check-in. The hostel was close to the underground station and a grocery store which made it more comfortable for us. We were extremely pleased with the cleanness and the fact that they changed the sheets throughout our stay.

We wanted to use the guest kitchen but it was extremely dirty, with food, used dishes and trash all over the place, combined with a disgusting smell. We supposed that the other gusts left it like that but still there should be some regulation because at the most it is unhygienic. We were group of three people in a quater room and during one of the night at 1a.m another guest arrived - we would have enjoyed it a little more if we were informed that other guest were settled in and would arrive late. In our room one of the lockers was broken so it couldn’t be used to store your luggage.

Huge hostel conveniently located about 5 minutes walking distance from the Central Train Station. Shopping close by. Rooms are large, most have lockers, beds are comfortable, and it is clean. Weekly entertainment, bar, outdoor area to hang out, etc. During my stay I had 2 issues (one with another guest), and both issues were handled by the staff in a very professional manner. Thank you very much. I strongly recommend this hostel. I actually stayed there before a couple of years ago, as well as other a&o Hostels in Germany and Scotland.

The sockets near the beds don't work, after talking to my roommates it turned out that they had the same problem, informing the reception about it was met only with surprise and a proposal to charge things downstairs (which was a good idea but was impractical due to the need to keep an eye on things, but it's hard to say whether the problem with the sockets will be fixed). Only 2 cabinets for a 4-person room, and they were locked so only 2 people could really use them

Location: Next to Hbf, very convenient to wander around, there is also a Billa supermarket nearby and Interspar in the Hbf. So you don't worry about foods. The room was quiet, clean and comfy. I think they repurpose the old twin or single rooms into shared rooms like this so it was a bit awkward in a room where another roommate is going to the toilet IN THE ROOM.

Location to Price ratio: Wien Hbf is pretty far away from the centre, so the price was not really reasonable to us. It could be a bit cheaper. Guest kitchen: It was terrible. It looked like barely anyone ever cleans or checks the guest kitchen. I assume because most of the guests would have breakfast at the other main breakfast area instead of the guest kitchen, but it would be great if a&o spends some effort to keep this clean, equipped with utensils/plates and frequently checks on the food in the fridge. We found some mouldy food in the fridge that had been there from people who stayed a few months ago.

Being located near the main train station offers breathtaking views of modern, streamlined architecture. There is a functional kitchen that can be used by guests after paying a deposit. Appliances (BOSCH washer and dryer) for doing laundry are available and can be reserved / controlled via WeWash app. Next to your pillow, you can find USB (2×) sockets and a nightlight, and there are clean quality sheets. The breakfast station (to pay) offers all I need to start my day and so much more: organic coffee, selection of teas, a pancake machine, vegan options, breads, and delicacies to grab

Having chosen to stay in a dorm room, it can be difficult to find a quiet spot. I might consider this a lesson learned

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was super helpful, they even got us extra pillows upon request. The hotel is a short walk from Vienna Central Station (Wien Hbf) there are lots of restaurants around, and also museums. There's a laundry room in the basement you can use to wash and dry for less than 10 euro.

The room has no kitchen appliances, a kettle or a mini fridge would be useful. In order to use the kitchen you have to go to the basement and pay a deposit. The hotel is huge so it takes some minutes to get there. If you can check in beforehand do it because the hotel receives tons of guests so sometimes the line at the reception is very long.

So this is a hostel, but for a hostel it is very clean and comfy. I got a room for six, and it was HUGE!!! Two bunk beds, two regular beds. Large shower and large toilet right there in the room (each in a separate enclosure, with lockable doors), electronic key. Very clean and proper, with a lift and other amenities. Fantastic location as far as transportation is concerned - 3 mins from both ends of Vienna Hauptbahnhof, which, of course, is very much off-centre, south of Belvedere Palace, but it has the Hauptbahnhof Ost streetcar station for streetcar D 3 mins away from the hostel, and this tram gets you to Opera and museums and Konzerthaus in no time. 30 euro a night at a week's notice in December is great price. I give it an 8 because like this is a hostel, so you get other people in the room, but otherwise it is really good.

The other inhabitant of the room SNORED LIKE A FREAKING STEAM ENGINE!!! But obviously this is what you can get in a hostel :-) The hostel is not of responsible for that at all.

Thomas was very helpful, and the check in was a breeze. The lobby was buzzing at midnight, lots of teenagers enjoying the time together and we really love that, compared with a quiet hotel. The room was very well heated over night and had a great sleep. The check out was even quicker.

It was hard to find the correct elevator for the 6th floor. I didn't noticed any signs (if there are any, please make them bigger). At arround 8 or 8:30 in morning, the cleaning staff was slamming the doors of the rooms that were vacated and cleaned. The last 2 hours of our stay were not so good because of that.

The location is the best point of this property, very near the Wien Hbf, just about 5 minutes for walking. Staff was enthusiasm. Interior of a 4 bed dormitory was at good condition. There were all necessary things such as hair dryer, shampoo/shower gel, towels, toilet paper, floor towel in the bathroom, good heater and the room was warm. There is a room for luggage storage in ground floor, very convenient. We will stay here next time.

The public toilets in the ground floor had bad strong urine smell. If people doesn't move, the lights will automatically turn off. This is uncomfortable and inconvenient if you are using toilet and suddenly the light turns off and you stay in a very dark toilet and very difficult to see everything there.
