We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bergwirt Schönbrunn. The lady at the reception was very kind and helpful, assisting us with parking arrangements and giving us great tips for public transport tickets. For street parking, you can get a ticket from the reception to place on your dashboard, allowing you to park all day for just €4.10 – very convenient! There’s also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which made getting around Vienna easy. The building itself is old but has a unique charm that we really appreciated. The room had everything we needed, and we especially enjoyed the atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, offering a great start to the day. We also had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant one evening, and the food was excellent! Some reviews mention the bathrooms or the restaurant staff, but we had no issues – breakfast was always enjoyable, and the staff made us feel welcome. Even the cemetery across the street added to the peaceful charm :) it is very well-kept. We would happily stay here again on our next trip to Vienna!

The house is old and matured - this is cool and the best thing there. The neighborhood is really quiet: when to walk evenings nearby seems that this isn't Vienna but rather some small town somewhere in countryside. Also I want to thank staff for kindness and understanding. Hotel restaurant is traditional Austrian cuisine and pretty good; we had there very nice dinners. Location is very good to visit Schönbrunn gardens.

Its a bit far from downtown, even U-bahn stations (HIetzing or Schönbrunn are 20...30 min to walk). But bus station is right before house - so this isn't actually big problem. Also there isn't nearby grocery stores if you need one.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The place is modest but very clean, and the atmosphere feels welcoming from the very first moment. The staff were incredibly kind, pleasant, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was rich, varied, and truly delicious – a perfect start to the day. Overall, a lovely experience that I would be happy to recommend.

The only thing I missed in the room was a waste bin, but that was just a tiny flaw in an otherwise very pleasant stay.

The hotel was spotless, quiet and run by a caring and friendly family and staff. The restaurant created something delicious for everyone in our party - Momar (sp?) was a jovial waiter who translated the menu and gave us great tips to use on our travels. The little beer garden was a relaxing oasis. Our room was small, but we were only there to shower and sleep. Beds were comfortable! We all loved Bergwirt Schonnbrun and would return without hesitation.⁹

The shower set up was difficult. The tub was quite tall to enter. Half the distance between walls at each end of tub had a pane of glass, yet water got splashed all over the floor and made a bit of a mess/safety concern. That's all...absolutely no other issues!

location is nice, rooms where tidy. parking card is a great option. charging for electric cars nearby. pet allowed. restaurant is fantastic - fast cooking and high quality. breakfast good, all needed was there. atmosphere is keeping hotel history, it's very nice - although appliances are part of this history, everything works and was appreciated.

room smell, hard to get rid of even after airing the room. maybe the carpet a bit damp. no mosquito nets on windows.

Spacy room (family room), big balcony with nice view; staff really helpful and nice and went out of their way to accommodate us; good breakfast buffet with great coffee options. Busstop outside the hotel with buses every 5min, takes 5-6 minutes to the subway (Hietzing) and then 12 minutes to city centre. We were very happy with the location, easy to travel to the city and Schönbrunns Castle and park are right across the street from the hotel.

Nowadays in a changing climate world,a hotel cannot exist without air condition.The temperature in the room was 29 Centigrade every day afternoon and evening.Almost impossible to sleep in that warm room.The hotel will have to invest in air conditioning.

An amazing breakfast selection of fresh meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, salads, juice, and coffee/hot cocoa machine with 10 choices of which type of coffee you want for your individual serving: espresso, melange, cappuccino, etc. I love the old Viennese charm in the building details and woodwork. The bathrooms were very nice. The location is very convenient to drive to from the airport and free parking is a big help. It is right next to the Schönbrunn castle and walking distance to bus and subway.

The only hard part is no air conditioning in the middle of July when we stayed, but there are fans in each room that we put by the window to help with circulation and we slept well. It is also nice that they have rooms to fit different size families.

The room was very clean and staff very polite. Bathroom and toilet were very clean too. The Hotel is well maintained and taken care of. WiFi coverage was excellent and also the WiFi speed was great. Public parking is right next to the hotel with a hotel discount. The hotel is situated right next to bus station (lines 56A/B and 58A/B) that connect it to an underground station (U4 line - Hietzing station) within a few minutes. You can reach the city centre in about 20min. We have also visited Vienna ZOO which is within the walking distance of the Hotel. A great and affordable starting place for Vienna exploration. Recommended.

There is no AC in the room but the stay was still comfortable enough even during the 2022 summer heat wave. The neighbourhood is quiet enough to have windows opened during the night.

The parking was outside of the hotel. There was a restaurant attached but we had no time to use it. Beds were fairly comfortable. There was an elevator.

Room was too hot and there was no way to turn the heat down, so we opened a window. The tiling was a bit dated and bathtub seemed high, narrow, and unsafe for people with mobilty issues.
