I've been travelling alone since I was 19 and this hotel made me feel at home. They serve fresh and delicious breakfast everyday (not your typical European so-called breakfast, they serve a real one) and make sure you're really full! They have the kindest and most helpful staff I've ever met, literally cannot thank them enough... They serve you hot drinks in the lobby, the hotel is historical and well-decorated. As a solo female traveler, I can assure you it's a very safe hotel! Mr. Tolga makes sure you make the best of your stay. Air conditioner and heaters work perfectly. Towels, robes, slippers, shampoo etc, they provide everything you'll need. Sauna, hammam and jacuzzi are clean and hot. The room welcomes you with mini cookies, sherbet and water. Housekeeping seals the toilet with a sticker after each check-out to show it's been cleaned for you. Lastly, the location! No hotel in the country can beat this one's location, it couldn't be any better! In a few minutes, you can reach to a supermarket, Bascarsija, Latin Bridge, City Hall etc, the best restaurants etc... Don't even consider booking any other places. Interior is like a living Ottoman era... I thank each and every person who works here. They built an amazing team!

Everything! #1) the employees are the BEST! Lots of good conversations about the people in the region all day and night, what to do and see, where to eat, etc. The cleaning ladies, breakfast lady, front desk people, and Hamam workers were all wonderful, friendly, and helpful beyond reasonable expectation. They should all get raises! :-) #2) the location is phenomenal! It’s the closest hotel to the Latin Bridge and it’s right across a small walking bridge from the old market, which is a great place to stroll and eat and window shop and learn of the place’s history. #3) the decor of the hotel makes you feel like you are where you are. It’s like a history lesson and mood enhancer and something that is just wonderfully interesting when you take the time to look and take it all in. #4) the most unique feature is the hamam, or Turkish bath, which is nearly 600 years old!!! I have attached a photo of the bath for your pleasure. They give massages in the hamam and open the bath for separate men and women hours. #5) parking is available very conveniently right across the street from the hamam. #6) short walk to the base of the cable cars that take you up the maintain to the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympic area that features the bobsled run and other activities, as well as spectacular views of the city.

We adored this hotel. Our experience started before we arrived, when they arranged a car to pick us up at the airport. Tolga and the rest of the staff were absolutely lovely and helped us with everything we needed. The room was clean and beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the hamam. Breakfast was a variety of little bowls of things like jam, tahini, honey, cheese, Nutella and salads, to have with bread and the eggs made to order. Simple and tasty. The location is ideal - right by the old market and walkable to all the historic sights. We really loved it here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a friendly, well-located hotel at a very reasonable cost.

We actually loved this but others may not, so I'll mention it - you can hear the call to prayer from the nearby mosque and the church bells from the nearby church, in the mornings. We found it really beautiful and a lovely way to start the day - but if you're sensitive or don't want to be woken early, then perhaps somewhere further out of the old town would be more suitable.

The Isa Begov Hammam Hotel allows travelers to experience a touch of the Ottoman heritage that informs so much of Sarajevo. The decor, the historic building, the mystic all speak to another time, but contemporary comforts abound. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. Breakfasts are delicious and presented in a mosaic of colorful dishes. Plus, with a real hammam on site, you can indulge in a genuine Turkish bath during your stay.

The hotel is very cozy, having an excellent location, a few meters away from the City Hall and the old town. The rooms are very nicely decorated, oriental style. Also liked the fact that the guests of the hotel have free entry in the hammam area. The breakfast was good, although there are just a few options, the same every day. The staff of the hotel was the cherry on the cake - awesome, very friendly and helpful.

There could have been better light for make-up in the bathroom. Also, the pillows were not the best.

+++ super location in the southern bank of Miljacka River +++ major tourist destinations within walking distance +++ friendly and ready-to-help staff +++ room decor could be a memory of the stay in SJJ +++ noise-proof to ensure a sound sleep although next to street side Breakfast isn’t served as a buffet but is partially prepared and set on the designated table. Eggs are cooked fresh upon request. The hotel features the only hamam in Bosnia & Herzegovina, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time to experience it, so we can’t comment on it.

One minor inconvenience was the lack of wall plugs near the bedside. We had to leave our phones charging on the coffee table, which looks the only spot close to the outlets. The restroom could use better lighting, and the wash basin might benefit from an upgrade when it comes to future renovation.

This hotel was a wonderful place that transports you back to old Sarajevo. The furnishings, the building itself, and the Hamam were just beautiful. The location was superb and close to everything and yet it was very quiet. We also appreciated that the check-in staff were extremely attentive and worked very hard to make our stay enjoyable. They also went out of there way to make sure our rental car was safely parked.

We had some service problems with the young man who served breakfast. When we first walked in to the dining area, there was a table with coffee and juices set up, so we assumed that like all the other hotels where we stayed, that we could just get our own coffee and juice. However, doing so made him very upset. He took our coffee away and angrily said only coffee from the kitchen was ready. When he replaced our coffee, he put the cups down hard. It was insulting to us. Later when I asked for another cup of coffee, he told me there was no more and said I would need to make the instant coffee in my room! He needs to be better trained to deal with customers because his behavior is rude. The hotel service was perfect in every way except for him.

1) Close to Old Town Sarajevo, 5-10 minutes walk. Grocery store nearby. 2) Very Close to Trg Austrije bus station, to reach other parts of Sarajevo. 3) Access to Jacuzzi, Steam Room and massage (massage is an additional fee that will be billed as a separate charge to your room). Keep in mind that opening hours for these facilities will vary between men and women. 4) 15th century Ottoman style bathhouse, but with renovated interiors. Exterior is beautiful. 5) Room was beautifully furnished and designed. 6) I liked that the bidet for the toilet was inside the toilet bowl and not detached separately. On your right hand side after sitting down, slowly turn the bidet lever downwards to gradually increase the bidet water pressure.

As much as I appreciated that the bidet was in the toilet instead of detached, the toilet bowl length was shorter than expected, even for a bidet toilet. If you are a male, sometimes you want that toilet bowl length to be longer when you sit down.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. The breakfast, which is in the Turkish style, had a wide range of delicious foods and it was the perfect start to our days exploring the area. The location is ideal, with easy access to local attractions, shops, and restaurants, making it convenient to get around without needing to drive. The building offers also a historical atmosphere especially due to the Hamam which was the perfect way to end the day, however, beware that there are different schedules for man and woman.

Although free parking is mentioned on Booking, in reality, it’s very difficult to find a free spot in the surrounding area for nonresidents. There is a public parking area available nearby, but it costs around €30 per day. Beware that traffic tickets are common and can be issued even during the night and that towing can happened for cars with license plates from outside Bosnia.

Everyone speaks Turkish, which is an extra advantage for someone coming from Turkey. Breakfast: They serve a traditional Turkish breakfast, like an open buffet. There are multiple beverage options such as tea, coffee and fruit juice. Very tasty Hammam: I used it 2 times, there was no one there both times, it is a very clean and nice hammam. Women and men have separate hours, which gives you a little more privacy. They give pestemal at the entrance to the hammam. You have to bring your own scrub, towel and soap.
