We had a fantastic stay at Sana Hotel in Sarajevo. The location is perfect—just a short walk from all the main tourist attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. A special thanks goes to Mirlena, who stood out with her kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to assist with anything we needed. Her warm attitude and professionalism made us feel truly welcome and well cared for. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Sarajevo.

Very near the old town. Comfy room and the velux blinds meant that the room was pitch black which was great (there’s a control system for them on the wall). Breakfast was included and had options for everyone
Even though we were on the top floor, we could hear the tram outside, but we did get used to it. There was some rubbish under one of the tables which had clearly been left by the previous guests (it had the previous day’s date on it) so think the cleaning staff maybe just need to pay a bit closer attention to this. The room felt like it needed an upgrade, the furniture is old and the carpet was worn.

We had a truly fantastic time at the Sana Hotel; it was impeccably clean, and the staff were lovely. The staff were always eager to assist with any questions I had. The rooms were more spacious than they appeared in the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was also of very good quality; although limited, it was sufficient and had a good selection. The hotel is excellently located, just a stone's throw away from the old market, restaurants, and cafes. All the mosques, cathedrals, and Pigeon Square are only a few minutes away on foot. Our hotel was conveniently located near the office of the Tour Company we used, Funky Tours, which was very useful.
The only thing to caution is that the hotel faces directly onto traffic, so crossing the road can be a little awkward, and for anyone with accessibility issues, it might be something to consider. We were absolutely fine with it, and if this isn't an issue, I would 100% recommend Sana Hotel because it was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to help.

The hotel is very nice it is very cozy, we stayed at 403 which is on the top floor but the room kept cool for the whole day. The hotel is new or looks renovated and the breakfast did impressed us as they provide other milks than cow's (almond and soy) they also provided different breads, smoked salmon, sunny side up eggs and vegetables in grill... the room didnt have an iron nor a good hair dryer but the receptionists were diligent to provide us with what we needed right away, they also accommodated a breakfast to take away exactly how we asked them to do so. We enjoyed the proximity to the city center and the eating choices nearby; the rooms are soundproof and the beds are comfy. We are happy that the hotel was just 2 min walk from the agency Dreams Balkans Travel that has daily trips to Herzegovina's nature and we were able to reach fast. Windows have automatic shutters and the air co is also good and perfect for the room
The walls of the room 403 need a bit of paint... they are worn out nothing too bad but this could improve the overall experience. PLEASE consider changing the hairdryers as the ones u have are cheap and small and have no capacity to dry well... you could instead replace for a good hairdryer as the one provided to us. Also consider having an iron in the rooms this is basic ammenity for a hotel room... Also as improvement point the breakfast only starts at 8 am and this is a bit late for the standard maybe consider having this available one hour before at 7 am to give people some extra time to enjoy the day after the breakfast

Very clean room and almost brand new hotel. Minibar fully stocked and reasonably priced. There are slippers and bathrobes in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly (went as gay couple and felt very welcome). Asked for tea one afternoon and the receptionist kindly made it for me even though the bar was closed, thanks! Breakfast choice is small but really good and fresh, great coffee machine, breakfast area really nice. Location great, a few steps from old town and short walk from the new part. WIFI is fast.
We were on the top floor, the room was a little small and with skylights instead of windows. TV didn't really work, the manager fixed it the first day and worked fine but then stopped again and we didn't bother reception, we just used our phones. No kettle in the room.

The staff are amazing! We felt so welcome on our arrival, (please thank the lovely red haired girl for us! ❤️❤️) From the moment we were picked up by the airport transfer service they provide to the moment we left, we felt so incredibly thankful we got to stay here. A great breakfast service is put on each day, with a great selection of foods to choose from. To the lovely man who helped us learn about the European windows and how they function … we’re sorry 😅 we both thank you for not laughing at us! The rooms are spacious, with great views, and superb location. We will both be back to stay here again on our return to Sarajevo. Your country has stolen our hearts ❤️
Nothing of note to be improved.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Sana in Sarajevo once again, and I must say—this visit exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the extremely kind, attentive, and highly professional staff, who made me feel not just like a guest, but truly at home. Their dedication to service is exceptional and deserves special praise. One of the most delightful surprises this time was the breakfast—which has always been quite good, but this time it was outstanding. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were impressive, and it’s clear that great effort has been made to improve and elevate the morning experience. The hotel itself remains spotless, comfortable, and ideally located in the heart of Sarajevo, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. Bravo to the entire team!

The location of this hotel is perfect, right in the heart of the old town. The staff were exceptional , especially Mirnela who was more than happy to cater to our requests for Suhoor during Ramadan, providing an extensive hot buffet which was much more than we expected. The reception staff were very helpful answering our group's questions and giving advice on things to see/do. The rooms were nice and clean too.
The road right outside the hotel is very busy so crossing can be a challenge, as Bosnian drivers are very fast! Also it would be nice to have hot drink-making facilities in the rooms, although when I raised this on check-out the staff said we can ask for them at check-in and they will be provided.

Very helpful staff who provide excellent service- whether it is making recommendations for tours or food or even helping with the parking. They always have a smile and always checking in on how we are doing.
Breakfast menu could be improved. Items were replaced very slowly. Yogurt - the cherry and mango yogurt was not placed the following day. Can consider varying the menu slightly. Parking in the hotel was inconvenient as there is heavy traffic but the hotel staff are always helpful in helping direct the traffic to ensure we are able to park in front of the hotel.

Very modern spotless clean rooms with a fancy modern design. The bathrooms are really comfy with big showers and everything you need. Staff is professional and friendly. The location couldn't be better, right next to the old city center and the tram and bus stops (including the one for the bus to the airport). The choice for breakfast is pretty big and you can take as much a you want. This is not the cheapest hotel in town, but you get what you pay for and I found it to be a nice and comfortable stay. The rooms are also isolated very well so you won't hear much of the outside city noises, such a the tram passing by. All in all a very good choice, I would stay here again.
The free coffee at breakfast from the machine wasn't the best 😅 The one you can order was only slightly better. From a hotel like this you expect better coffee, it's a quick win. The staff should reset any alarms that have been set on the TV's in the room. Once one of the TV's went on in the middle of the night. The TV's also turn on every time you put your key card in the slot. This is a littlebit annoying. My advise: unplug the TV's if you won't be using them.
