The Pension Stari Grad is a very well situated lodging facility in Sarajevo. There is easy access to historical sights, restaurants and shopping. This pension is extremely well maintained and clean. The rooms are basic yet comfortable and in my view a good value. Breakfast is good. The people who staff Pension Stari Grad are competent, helpful and exceptionally pleasant. Meliah , Amer, and Selma all extended wonderful hospitality . In the future anytime I come to visit Sarajevo, Pension Stari Grad will be my choice for accommodation.

The only drawback can be a bit of noise coming from the street and adjacent parking lot. The high quality windows in the rooms mitigate much of this.

The location is great. It is located right in the center. Wherever you go for sightseeing or eating is just a couple of minutes away. The gentleman in the reception is a great person, he helped us with everything, it was a great experience.

The property is old, but all of the Sarajevo Center buildings are. So if you are willing to have 4-5 star hotel experience, center properties are not for you.

I have to admit that everything during my stay at this hotel was just perfect. From the breakfast, the smiles of the staff and the conversations about the historical heritage and social differences between my country and Bosnia, to the perfect location of the hotel! I would highly recommend Pansion Stari grad for a leisure or business trip! The grocery shop is just a few steps away from the pension and is located in the historical centre of the city. The tram stop is also only 50 metres from the Pansion. I borrowed a travel guide in English, which you can find in the lobby.

Hotel was easy to find - I'd been a bit worried trying to see it on Streetview. There is a car park in this location and the entrance is through the car park. Reception staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Lots of information should you need to book trips. There was a lounge area by reception and they were happy to prepare coffee if you wanted. The building is old and put together - for first floor you walk up some stairs through a conservatory, and back into the building again (if access is a concern for you). The room was a good size, warm (in winter), and had a nice view of the mountainside and cable car. It was quiet and didn't hear or see anyone else during my stay. I paid in cash for the room (I believe it states this in info anyway) so you will need to change some money or bring euros. The bathroom was well equipped and modern, and excellent water pressure, but the steam didn't leave the room quickly despite an extractor, so it was damp for the couple of days I stayed. It was also a cold bathroom, but this was good for me to store drinks and some food on the windowsill in there to keep cool. Wifi was fine the whole stay, and the TV was well equipped with both Bosnian and English language channels. Bed was comfortable - seemed to be two singles together but I travelled alone so no problem. The reception desk is not 24h so you would need to arrange access if your flight is exceptionally early or late. Amazingly close to the old square so plenty of food options, bakery, and supermarkets close by. Lots of bus connections at the bottom of the street, but personally found taxis easier for airport.

No bad things that bothered me! I stayed at a cold time and the bathroom wasn't well designed for winter, but I cant imagine a problem at another time of year :)

We liked everything, can't find any faults, location was great , room was clean and warm as we visited during cold Christmas time 😊 The best thing me and my boyfriend liked the most was breakfast, various things to eat , very tasty and kept traditional Bosnian breakfast ☺️ The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much , definitely recommend it .

Beautiful traditional style hotel in the heart of the old city. Food, tram stop, mosques and shopping all on the door step. Melhia the manager was fantastic and Emin on front desk were brilliant. They all gave us hints and tips on places to visit and things to do and recommended food places. The rooms are modern and breakfast was good.

Nothing, everything was awesome. My son and I were very well looked after and we have no complaints.

Perfect location, right next to the old town yet very quiet. All staff members are kind and helpful. They make up room everyday and the whole property is very clean.

The bathroom is not practical, shower box is open so water goes everywhere when you take a shower. There's no power outlet in the bathroom so to dry your hair you have to do it in the room.

Great location very close to Baščaršija; many restaurants & shops nearby. Friendly staff. Room was simple but comfortable & good value. Bakery down the street "Pekara Edin" is a great spot to grab a burek for breakfast! The parking lot next door can be busy & yes there are many mosques nearby so you hear call to prayer--I sleep with earplugs & had no problems. Would definitely stay here again.

An extra hook (for towels) on the bathroom wall would be nice. I think the room may be remodeled so no fridge in my room, if you were expecting one. Neither of these are big problems though, the hotel is very good.

The location is very good, just in the city center and only a few meters away from the the old bazar. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was perfect for my stay and the breakfast was very good too. I will definitely come back!

I have nothing to complain about.

The hotel is literally 3 min away from the old city and the tram station. Lots of choices of restaurants, coffee shops nearby. The hotel is clean. Great for the price Worth. Meliha, the hotel manager is very nice and professional, she is attentive to the comfortable stay of the guests. If you are a solo Traveller or a couple, this is absolutely the place to stay with low budget but clean and close to everything hotel.
