I've stayed at this hotel several times now, and it's one of my top choices when I'm traveling and need to stay in Sofia for a night or two. My room this time seemed recently renovated and looked quite new and clear. The bathroom was spacious, with plenty of space to hang towels or put my toiletries. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is buffet style and includes quite a few options. The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Sofia's city center but doesn't want the crowds and noise of Vitoshka.

Since I had to work during my current stay, I was really disappointed in the WiFi connect. I can't even say it was slow; rather, it was non-existent and I couldn't even do basic things like check/respond to email. As for Zoom calls, I had to reschedule all for the next day when I returned home. Bad internet connections at hotels in the center of Sofia are super frustrating, considering Bulgaria has such fast Internet. If you don't plan to work during your stay, though, this is an excellent hotel to consider.

The Arte Hotel Sofia has a perfect and central location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and roomy, and the hotel feels comfortable and welcoming. The hotel spaces design is simple and practical, without frills and such. Though, I enjoy all the art on the walls, both in the room and in the public spaces. The breakfast room is bright and the breakfast we tasty and had good choices.

I would have enjoyed more choice of fruit at breakfast, though maybe I just came down too late in the morning and it was already gone...

The location was Arte's biggest selling point. Opposite the National Assembly and Presidential Palace, Arte Hotel is centrally located and a convenient walk to everything. It is also a ~5 minute walk to the Serdica II metro station. I was travelling alone and booked the Deluxe Queen room, which is perfect for one/two people. Kettle, drinking water, tea, and coffee provided. There was no safe in the room, but I never felt that it was an issue. The hotel is very well secured, and in a safe area of Sofia. Adequate bathroom size with toiletries provided. The shower stall is a bit small, but I have found this to be a European standard rather than limited to Arte. Breakfast is continental buffet style, with a touch-button coffee machine you can help yourself to throughout the day. The breakfast provided is perfect to get the day started, and then try out the many, many wonderful restaurants in the area. The staff were professional, attentive and friendly. I mostly interacted with Miro, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and pleasant. He even provided a map of Sofia where he had marked points of interest such as traditional Bulgarian restaurants and local shops close by. Even though my room was located next to the elevator and directly facing the main street, there was no noise filtering through when I slept. The adjacent buildings being administrative rather than nightclubs, etc is perfect for a good night's sleep. When in Sofia for the first time, make sure to go for the Free Walking Tour. It takes about 2 hours and is more than worth your time.

Nothing. Note: this is NOT a complaint but an FYI. The mattress was very soft. Something to consider if you have back issues like I do.

This is the second time I'm staying at this hotel - it's my preferred location when I need to stay in Sofia before catching a flight outside the country or after returning to Bulgaria. The location is perfect - close to the Serdika metro station, so I can easily get to the airport on the metro. It's also close to the city center, which works well if you don't have much time to explore. Another reason I like this hotel is the included breakfast. They offer a pretty nice spread, a mix of Bulgarian and Western items. The WiFi is pretty fast, which I appreciate as I often travel during the work week. The staff is nice and the room was pretty warm this time of year. The heater must have been working overtime! The room I stayed in was perfect size for one person and the bathroom had a shower cabin that seemed new, which is a plus when staying anywhere in Bulgaria.

This didn't bother me, but there were a couple of spots on the carpet where it looked like something was spilled. The hotel offers slippers so I took advantage.

Just a three or four minute walk from Serdika metro station with a direct link to Sofia airport on yellow Line 4 which takes around 25 minutes, this property is also perfectly located in the city centre with an easy walk to all the historic sights, museums, theatres, bars and restaurants, very friendly and helpful staff on the desk, breakfast had a wide choice of pastries, cheese, meat, salad, fish, eggs, bacon, sausage etc, yes my mattress was soft but it did not stop me sleeping and the room was otherwise clean and well equipped, great value too, recommended!

The location of the hotel is excellent, the hotel is located on the main square, really close to the intersection of several subway lines. The staff is extremely friendly, the room was comfortable and spacious, it contained a small refrigerator, a large flat screen TV with a lot of TV channels, the rooms are bright and extremely clean. Breakfast at the hotel is a satisfying, pleasant experience.

Maybe some work on the showers, outdated cabins and fixed shower heads.

Choosing to stay at this hotel in Sofia was undoubtedly the best decision we made for our trip. Situated right in the heart of the city, it offered the perfect blend of convenience and comfort. The daily breakfast and cleaning services added an extra layer of convenience to our stay, allowing us to focus solely on enjoying our time in Sofia. Miro, the receptionist, was an invaluable asset during our stay, providing us with all the necessary information and tips to make the most of our week in the city. His friendly demeanor and helpful attitude truly enhanced our experience. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this hotel to others, and should I ever find myself in Sofia again, I would undoubtedly choose to stay here once more.

Super comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was varied, a lot of fruit and vegetable options, as well as cheeses, different hams, different types of eggs and bread (even gluten free-option). Really liked the coffee too. The hotel is 5 minutes walking from Serdika subway station (direct line to airport also). The pedestrian area Vitosha blvd is also super close, 5 mins walking. I also personally recommend two restaurants right next to the hotel: Los Muchachos for lovely authentic mexican food and cocktails, and Mercanti pizzeria for neapolitan style pizza.

Mum and I stayed here on 3 separate occasions during our trip around Bulgaria. Receptionist was excellent, he was friendly, helpful and was always smiling and happy to help and answer questions. Hotel is next door to a coffee shop, within walking distance to shops, cafes etc (about 20 minutes for us but we walk slow). Right near train and bus stops so very handy. Room has a small fridge and you get a small bottle of water for first day but they do not replenish this every day so we made sure to get water before we returned to hotel. There was a kettle with coffee/tea items but you would need to bring your own milk if needed as only a couple of those powder creamer sachets. Rooms are clean and roomy with enough space to place 2 big suitcases out of the walkway. Rooms are cleaned every day and towels etc replaced if you need (depends on what sign you place on door - Please Make Up Room or Do Not Disturb). Enough power points to use to charge multiple devices. Breakfast was in the adjoining restaurant and there was a huge selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals and bread/pastries and warm eggs and sausages/bacon, and coffee/tea. Elevator is smallish (can fit 2 people and 2 suitcases snuggly) but it works) and there are also stairs (we used to use the elevator to go up to room and stairs to come down). There appears to be only about 5 rooms on each of the 5 floors so a nice quiet hotel, we never heard anyone else in the rooms and there were a few couples in the breakfast room each morning. Woulds definitely stay here again if hotel doesn't change from what we experienced.

We were there in their Autumn period but as I come from a cooler environment I still found it very warm in the room as the air-conditioning/heating seemed to be remotely set as I could not get the temperature in the room to go down at all. We had to resort to opening the windows of a night to let cool air in but of course that then made the room very noisy due to the traffic outside the front of the hotel (the hotel is very centrally located). Not sure if this would have been an issue if the room was at the side or back of hotel.

Hotel is near to Serdica Metro station, so convenient to travel to other stations in Sofia and the airport. Also within walking distance of the major sights like Aleksander Nevski Cathedral. Breakfast was good, had the usual spread. Staff was also helpful and courteous too.

The WiFi was sometimes unstable. It was more stable when you are closer to the door. Perhaps it was because I stayed on the top floor.
