In our opinion the best hotel in the Center. We checked some others on place, just to compare. Breakfast OK; could be better, could be worst. Good cafe. We had 60m room, toilet was really nice, to take bath. TV chanells could be better/more. We went to see spa, finally didnt take (basic, nothing special). We had good time.

During our trip to the Balkans, it was the only 4*hotel, which in the room offered water in a plastic bottle. Ecology in such a large hotel facility is important at every step. Large bottles with a washing product are increasingly appearing to reduce the amount of plastic (small containers). We encourage the hotel to change the habits and to propose to the Guest 1 big bottle compare 3 small x 3 people...

The staff and facilities were excellent. The location is excellent as it’s near all downtown sightseeing places. I would also like to mention that our son had very high fever during our last day of our stay and the staff in charge Mr Vasil arranged for hospital doctors to visit us in the room and gave necessary medication and prescription. He made sure that he stayed with the doctors and translated to English all that they said. So it was very helpful for us. Thanks again to the team at the breakfast area and also the staff who arranged airport drop off at a moment notice. In all I would recommend Grand hotel for guests visit Sofia.

Car parking charges were a bit high in the hotel.

The room was huge, with two couches, two armchairs and a desk chair. being on the seventh floor we had an excellent view over the park and towards the golden domes of the Alexander Nevski Cathedral. With both a good shower and a bath the facilities were superb. The staff were excellent, friendly, efficient and competent. They even remembered our names. Breakfast was relaxing and quiet with a wide range to choose from. Since the hotel is in the centre of Sofia it was within easy walking distance of the main sights and shopping area. Dinner in the evening was outstanding. It was so good we ate there twice.

This hotel was outstanding. I can't suggest any improvements.

From the moment you walk into the hotel, the staff made you feel comfortable and truly hospitable. The gym was great, had everything you need for a quick workout. For a small price you can use the sauna and steam room. Truly worth it. The room met its needs, a luxurious bathroom with a bathtub finally to fit a grown person! The room has a rustic feel however very spacious. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, all shopping, restaurants, bars are just minutes of walking.

Everything met my expectations. I believe like any installation that has been around for some time. Upgrades and a fresh facelift would be beneficial.

Too location , big rooms

Bed linen is terrible , pillows are cheep with polyester filling and not comfortable at all. Duvets are old and with polyester too. This is a 5 stars facility and it is not allowable to use so cheep linen

Superb location, super large rooms and bathrooms and a great terrace for breakfast overlooking a peaceful park. Great breakfast buffet. All highlights incl. shopping street and area with loads of tiny little bars and restaurants are in walking distance. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Valet parking is super convenient when coming in by (rental) car.

If anything at all: the vibe in the lobby bar and the indoor restaurant is a bit stiff. Especially when traveling for fun.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand hotel Sofia . The room was huge and beautiful and the location was just ideal . We walked to many things, but public transportation and tours were also close by. The breakfast each morning was really good as well and we could each eat on our own schedule. We would certainly stay there again next time we are in Sofia .I enjoyed my five night stay and would book this hotel again without hesitation

Location: Unbeatable, central location. A short walk to many of the main sights and the perfect base for exploring Sofia. Room: Executive Room with City/National Theatre View was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Service: Staff were very polite and professional throughout our stay. Reception staff were particularly efficient during check-in and check-out and whenever we had a query or request. Breakfast: Breakfast was reasonable with a decent selection of sweet and savoury items. Overall: We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again due to the incredible location. I haven't awarded 10 on this occasion due to the loud music on the first night of our stay that meant we weren't able to sleep well and also due to the price of the breakfast.

Room: The soundproofing in general was adequate but during the weekend of our stay, there was an event taking place at the hotel and it was impossible to sleep due to the loud music and vibrations of the bass. Breakfast: The price of the breakfast was excessive relative to the quantity and quality of the food and compared to the prices in nearby cafes.

I would like to begin by commending the staff for their exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the concierge promptly approached me to assist with valet parking. The check-in process was efficient, and the receptionist was both courteous and professional. With my background in hospitality, I tend to notice the finer details. One small area for improvement involves the interaction between the senior staff and the receptionist. When the senior staff member assisted her, he handed over my keycard by tossing it on the table. While it was a minor issue, attention to such details can enhance the overall guest experience. The breakfast staff deserves high praise for their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The breakfast selection was excellent, with made-to-order eggs being a standout feature. My room was spacious and impeccably clean, though the design was somewhat rather old fashioned, however it’s a matter of personal preference. Nevertheless, it was well-maintained and spotless. There is a saying that good leadership sets the tone, and this is clearly evident at this hotel. Like many guests, I read reviews before making a booking to gauge the experience. The General Manager's personalized responses to each review, rather than using generic templates, immediately indicated a genuine care for the hospitality business. This leadership approach is reflected in the entire team's performance. Well done!
