In our opinion the best hotel in the Center. We checked some others on place, just to compare. Breakfast OK; could be better, could be worst. Good cafe. We had 60m room, toilet was really nice, to take bath. TV chanells could be better/more. We went to see spa, finally didnt take (basic, nothing special). We had good time.

During our trip to the Balkans, it was the only 4*hotel, which in the room offered water in a plastic bottle. Ecology in such a large hotel facility is important at every step. Large bottles with a washing product are increasingly appearing to reduce the amount of plastic (small containers). We encourage the hotel to change the habits and to propose to the Guest 1 big bottle compare 3 small x 3 people...

The staff at the hotel were so friendly, I think it was Aleksander who checked us in on our first day and he was lovely, very helpful and friendly. I love the style and decor of the hotel, the art deco style is lovely and the hotel is well maintained. The location is absolutely fabulous, youre only a maximum 10 minute walk from all of the main sights in Sofia. The food served in the restaurant is also nice if you are tired after a long day of sightseeing, its a good option!

The air-conditioning in our room was not good, it meant it was extremely hot to sleep as temperatures during the day were around 38⁰ and so at night the room still was about 26⁰ which is too hot to sleep in. It also meant that the temperature was perfect for mosquitoes, I'm not sure how they got in as we never had the window open once (we can only assume they got in through the air conditioning system), but this meant that I got bitten a lot, which, coupled with the heat, meant that I did not sleep well during my stay.

Great size room , very comfortable with incredible views . What a treat . Good parking in the basement with no stairs . Wonderful art work in the lobby .

Breakfast was average . Unfortunately receptionist was very rigid, and unhelpful. In fact we felt intimidated and not at all welcome . Even said politely have a nice day today . No respnse . Frankly tarnishes the image of such a good property . I think he would be more suited back of house in admin. Left a bitter taste.

The staff were friendly, polite, and professional throughout my stay. Breakfast offered a great variety, from fresh fruits and pastries to warm options, with excellent coffee. Despite being centrally located, the hotel felt peaceful and relaxing — a perfect base for a leisure trip to Sofia. I would highly recommend Grand Hotel Sofia for travelers looking for top-notch service and comfort in the heart of the city.

The staff and facilities were excellent. The location is excellent as it’s near all downtown sightseeing places. I would also like to mention that our son had very high fever during our last day of our stay and the staff in charge Mr Vasil arranged for hospital doctors to visit us in the room and gave necessary medication and prescription. He made sure that he stayed with the doctors and translated to English all that they said. So it was very helpful for us. Thanks again to the team at the breakfast area and also the staff who arranged airport drop off at a moment notice. In all I would recommend Grand hotel for guests visit Sofia.

Car parking charges were a bit high in the hotel.

The room was huge, with two couches, two armchairs and a desk chair. being on the seventh floor we had an excellent view over the park and towards the golden domes of the Alexander Nevski Cathedral. With both a good shower and a bath the facilities were superb. The staff were excellent, friendly, efficient and competent. They even remembered our names. Breakfast was relaxing and quiet with a wide range to choose from. Since the hotel is in the centre of Sofia it was within easy walking distance of the main sights and shopping area. Dinner in the evening was outstanding. It was so good we ate there twice.

This hotel was outstanding. I can't suggest any improvements.

From the moment you walk into the hotel, the staff made you feel comfortable and truly hospitable. The gym was great, had everything you need for a quick workout. For a small price you can use the sauna and steam room. Truly worth it. The room met its needs, a luxurious bathroom with a bathtub finally to fit a grown person! The room has a rustic feel however very spacious. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, all shopping, restaurants, bars are just minutes of walking.

Everything met my expectations. I believe like any installation that has been around for some time. Upgrades and a fresh facelift would be beneficial.

Superb location, super large rooms and bathrooms and a great terrace for breakfast overlooking a peaceful park. Great breakfast buffet. All highlights incl. shopping street and area with loads of tiny little bars and restaurants are in walking distance. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Valet parking is super convenient when coming in by (rental) car.

If anything at all: the vibe in the lobby bar and the indoor restaurant is a bit stiff. Especially when traveling for fun.

Too location , big rooms

Bed linen is terrible , pillows are cheep with polyester filling and not comfortable at all. Duvets are old and with polyester too. This is a 5 stars facility and it is not allowable to use so cheep linen

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand hotel Sofia . The room was huge and beautiful and the location was just ideal . We walked to many things, but public transportation and tours were also close by. The breakfast each morning was really good as well and we could each eat on our own schedule. We would certainly stay there again next time we are in Sofia .I enjoyed my five night stay and would book this hotel again without hesitation
