This hotel is fantastic—I only wish every trip came with a stay like this. We originally booked four nights but sadly had to cut it short to just two (real life always ruins the fun). My wife and I both loved it. Check-in comes with a glass of prosecco—yes, prosecco!—which you can casually stroll to your room with, pretending you live in this glamorous world full-time. The rooms have been recently renovated and are beautifully designed. Walk-in shower? Check. Big windows? Double check. Pro tip: ask for a room overlooking the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky—it’s a view that makes you feel cultured even if you spent the night bingeing Netflix. Breakfast is served on the 9th floor. While most guests huddle near the buffet like it’s a food-based sporting event, grab your plate and head to the Sense Rooftop bar area instead. Trust me, eggs taste better with a skyline view. And speaking of eggs: order them fresh, any style you want. The ground-floor bar is a gem. My wife had a margarita that blew her mind; I tried a Japanese Negroni and briefly considered quitting my job to become a cocktail critic. Rooms are spacious, the bed is large and comfortable, and the pillows are the kind that make you rethink all your life choices about bedding at home. We also indulged in the gym, pool, sauna, steam room, and the whole caldarium/frigidarium experience (which sounds like Hogwarts classes but is actually just very relaxing). In short: fantastic hotel, highly recommended, and dangerously easy to get attached to.

Ohhhh- reception is up front. But you do have to take maybe 5 steps down to get to the lifts. It is not well lighted so not so safe for peeps with vision probs. My hubby doesn’t have vision issues but did miss 1 step and tripped. Hard to bring luggages up/down. Staff very responsive to carry your luggages tho. A ramp on the side will be helpful for luggage and in case of guests that are on wheelchair too.

We stayed for four nights in room 508 and had a fantastic experience. The room was beautiful—quiet, despite the nearby bar and traffic. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious, featuring luxurious Molton Brown products. The staff were generally friendly, though a few could be more welcoming when approached. We didn’t have breakfast included but decided to book it upon arrival. Unfortunately, this was the only aspect of our stay that fell short. The price felt quite high for what was offered—the cooked selection was limited, there were no menus to guide you at the egg station, and the plates weren’t heated, so the food cooled quickly. That said, it was still more convenient than venturing out early in the morning. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar, which had a fantastic atmosphere. We had a couple of great nights there and would highly recommend booking in advance, especially on weekends, as it gets very busy

Good location. Deluxe room has an amazing view on the cathedral, I advise taking it. For the food I suggest visiting the restaurant downstairs, upstairs gastro bar is good only for drinks, food is very usual probably because the restaurant chef should be changed.. I would like to especially underline the attitude and personality of the valet parking guy, he’s a real house keeper always ready to help.

This hotel is so chic, and bonus that it is under Marriott management. The front desk staff was wonderful, and so helpful. I had an amazing room, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the location is great for walking to see the sights, get great meals and enjoy the city.

I just wished I could have slept in later the day I left! Overall the property was fantastic and I highly reccomend for anyone who wants a more luxury experience in Sofia.

Room was beautiful, spa was really nice and well maintained. View from the top floor bar was wonderful and the drinks and food up there pretty good. Warm welcome from the staff including a welcome drink, the scent used in the reception area was very nice. Location was super central for all of the main areas of Sofia.

Single beds were a little narrow. One member of staff on the top floor bar was really rude - her attitude was unacceptable and she made it feel like we didn't belong there. When we finally did get sat down in the bar the bar was very smokey, I understand that this is in line with local custom but for someone from the UK felt old-fashioned. Prices in the top floor bar were extortionate also.

An all around excellent hotel. From the location central to all the sights, the in-hotel bar and spa make it arguably the best in town. And they serve an amazing Shopska salad. There are 360 degree views of the city from the rooftop. Nikola, Nourhan, Todor were great in taking care of everything I needed. The ambiance of the room was super minimalist, modern and sleek. The fridge and mini bar is kept behind one of the closet doors. A small detail carefully thought out. Would highly recommend people in Sofia stay here!

Only thing that sucked was the Wi-Fi wouldn't reach my room but cellular service worked fine anyways.

The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating and went beyond standard assistance. The rooms were very nice and importantly, ready to get into when we arrived. Breakfast was excellent and offered a nice range of foods and fruits.

The restaurant, bar, and breakfast room are one big area under the roof. It was really hot in there, uncomfortably so. The roof is glass and walls are essentially windows on all sides. The sun was just beating down and the AC was more than tepid.

I liked: *The bed, it was very comfy *The view from the room and rooftop bar was excellent *The food at the rooftop bar and breakfast was very nice *The controls in the room on lighting is a nice touch *The bathroom facilities were all great *The spa, pool and hot tub were all excellent *All the staff were friendly - and although I didn't ask for my clothes to be arranged neatly on the Monday of my stay I appreciated that a member of staff gave my clothes a tidy and put on the radio for me on my return to the room as i'd come back from a busy day out *Great decor all around the hotel *Good location and close to several landmarks in Sofia

I didn't like: *The cost - the room was a bit pricey and for that price I paid there should be a bit more included in the room package, for example additional minibar access or perhaps some discount at the rooftop bar to even the price out a bit. *The steam room wasn't available on my visit, so again for the price I paid i'd expect all the spa facilities to be open and available to use.
