It is truly heartwarming to express the comfort and happiness one feels just by being in a place and meeting such wonderful people — to the extent that I cannot find the right words to fully describe such a feeling. What expresses it even more is that you don’t wish to leave this place or these amazing people in every sense of the word. Yes, it is the Sofia Balkan Hotel , with its exceptional staff who embody every meaning of kindness, warm hospitality, and respect — especially the lady with the beautiful and radiant smile, who truly exemplifies the spirit of hospitality: the Guest Relations Manager, Anastasiya Ushakova. I also want to highlight the hotel's ideal and peaceful location, as well as its cleanliness, organization, and utmost attention to detail. To the point that anyone who stays at this wonderful hotel, in all its aspects, would not want to leave. This outstanding hotel, with its excellent service and the professionalism of its staff — will certainly be my favorite hotel in the days to come.

I would like to express my happiness during my stay at the Sofia Balkan Hotel, where I felt truly joyful and comfortable throughout this wonderful experience. What made it especially memorable was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff, particularly the Guest Relations Manager, Anastasiya Ushakova. She stood out with her outstanding professionalism, ideal service, and attentiveness to all my needs. Her only goal seemed to be ensuring I felt comfortable and happy — and the most beautiful part was her constant, radiant smile. In addition to the perfect and quiet location of the hotel, I was impressed by its cleanliness, organization, and overall attention to detail. I loved it so much that I didn’t want to leave this amazing hotel, with all its wonderful qualities and the excellent service from its staff — especially the lady with the beautiful smile, Anastasiya. As a result, I decided to extend my stay for a longer period, and this hotel will definitely be my preferred choice in the future.

Everything . It was amazing , breakfast very delicious, the rooms were very beautiful and clean , the view and the location are just beyond amazing. The staff was very friendly and they helped us when we booked and when we arrived , also the people from tbe private transport from the Hotel were very friendly. The Hotel was also suitable for a baby we received a very new brand crib :). I would like to mention Mrs. Krasimira Doycheva from reservation, she was really friendly on the phone and helped us resolving an issue with the booking, also made sure everything is ok after we arrived .

My family stayed at Balkan Palace on two occasions in the last two weeks, and we really loved it. The rooms were beautiful, and we appreciated the very comfortable bed and linens, high end and amazing high pressure rain shower, the fact that they provided several bottles of mineral water in the room, the amazingly fragranced Clarins bath/body products, and the Lavazza coffeemaker/coffee. All staff members that we interacted with were very kind and helpful; the blonde housekeeper on the third floor was super sweet and did a wonderful job making up our room. Also, Vasilis the doorman was very helpful; he waited with my baby and me for about 10-15 minutes outside, on the side of the hotel, while we waited for our car, in order to make sure we would be safe (not standing alone on the street with a considerable amount of baggage). We would like to especially thank Anastasiya U. and Stoyan at reception for their help with several requests over our 5 nights at the hotel; they made us feel very well looked after with such personal attention; they both even remembered us when we returned for our second stay. They were a big part of what made both of our stays so great. Of course, it goes without saying the hotel location cannot be beat. Finally, I would say the price is fair for the quality of the accommodations and the service. I really hope we will be able to return again someday.

Only cons... The hotel breakfast was quite expensive, buffet was the only option, and some of the hot food items were cold (e.g. eggs). I will say it was an impressively extensive spread, though, so if you arrive very hungry, you may be pleased with it. Tip- there's champagne at the entrance, which we sadly did not notice until we're leaving. The only other disappointing thing was that the lobby restrooms were not well stocked. The accessible restroom had no soap or towels, and neither the women's nor the accessible restroom had a baby changing table that I saw.

As the title suggests our stay at the Sofia Balkan Palace was fantastic. I couldn't recommend it more highly. First of all the staff were magnificent. Always smiling, always ready to help and very attentive to our needs. The room, overlooking the Sveta Nedelya Square (picture attached), was large with a great shower and all the amenities you would expect in a 5 star establishment. Lastly, the location is perfect for visiting a number of sites including the impressive Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Sofia is a lovely city and when we come back I will definitely be staying in this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely nothing. It honestly couldn't have been better.

It's the 2nd time that we visit the hotel. There was a nice surprise in our room for the welcome back which was a great gesture from the management. We are really thankful for that. Breakfast is still great and the staff serving very friendly too. In general the staff was very polite and helpful. We stayed in a different wing of the hotel this time but the room was very good too. An enjoyable experience overall and will be visiting again in the future.

There was some confusion regarding the cot for our 2-year old kid. Although we had requested it via Booking, the cot was not in place. It seems that there was some misunderstanding and the hotel thought our kid was older. Regardless, it was fixed quick enough once we informed the staff.

Our flight was canceled, so we had to stay in Sofia for two extra days. After checking out several hotels, we finally chose to book a room at the Balkan Palace Hotel — and we’re so glad we did. The first person who greeted us at the hotel was Anastasia, the wonderful receptionist. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel at home. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, she greeted us with a big smile and genuine kindness. Anastasia went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, and quickly arranged a room for us despite our last-minute booking. Her helpful attitude and positive energy truly made a difference in our stay. The room itself was perfect — spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the Saint Nedelya Cathedral. The breakfast was rich, delicious, and absolutely pampering — the perfect way to start the day. We highly recommend staying at the Balkan Palace Hotel, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Location was exceptional just at the start point of Vitosha Boulvard which is the most famous place for shopping and good restaurants. At the other side of the hotel ther Parliament building and Sofia Statue. All of important and histocal attractives are in less tajn 10-15 minutes walking distance . The hotel was very clean, good dcorated and modern. Breakfast was excellent.

The small area for parking in fromt of Hotel was 31 Euros per night and there waa no other alternative. Air-condition had low performance

I had a wonderful night's stay at the Sofia Balkan Palace. As a young woman travelling alone, I was made to feel very safe and comfortable at this hotel. The concierge staff were attentive and friendly, as were the bar staff. I mentioned on my booking that I was celebrating my 30th birthday, so when my room was ready, I was informed by the lovely Anastasiya that my booking had been upgraded to a junior suite and I was gifted a bottle of champagne and some macarons. I felt really special and it made my evening. The room was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel, and the extremely comfortable bed provided me with a wonderful night's sleep that was much needed after a week of skiing! I couldn't recommend this hotel more and I will definitely be back.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sofia Balkan Palace, and it was a fantastic experience. Everything was perfect, from the elegant ambiance to the superb location right in the heart of Sofia. The hotel’s staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch, and the comfort and amenities exceeded my expectations. If I visit Sofia again, I will definitely stay here. Highly recommended!
