The hotel is close to a big shopping mall that has a food court and supermarket. Breakfast is good. Staff is generally good and friendly, especially the female receptionists, one of the male receptionists need some smiling face training - luckily on this return stay before I left the Balkans he was not on duty, and one of the restaurant male staff definitely requires some manner seminar.

Too far away to the city center especially the old town, otherwise for a four star hotel, this is a very good one. My room’s A/C was good but I heard other guests were complaining about the A/C not working properly.

Clean and updated hotel. Good size rooms and the beds are comfortable. I also liked that there was a water dispenser on each floor so you can get purified water. The front desk guy was very nice.

My parents had one complain and it was about the service at the lobby bar. They were very disappointed that when they went to the bar, no one acknowledged them for more than 10 minutes. There were two people behind the bar minding their own business. There were no other customers. My parents had to eventually call them to get their attention. Good hotels or any hotels should have great and respectful customer service.

Rooms are very modern and clean, great view from the upper floors. Room equipped with everything needed, blackout curtains. Play corner available for the kids on the ground floor. Parking underground with lots of space. Breakfast very good with enough options, plus I was pleasantly surprised to find cherries as fruit options, it was a first in my traveling history, very much appreciated. A mall is very close to the hotel, only few steps walking distance.

Just small things: If traveling with small kids like was our case: they cannot independently reach the soap in the bathroom as it's fixed high on the wall so they needed our assistance at every washing hands. No lock for the bathroom doors (although they are very modern, missing locks are not practical when traveling with kids).

Stayed in the Suite which was quite cool and nice. Only downside is that the Televisions are 28 inches and not Smart TVs. Apart from that all seem to be fine. The hotel may need to spend a bit more on the bed coverings. They kept coiming off. In all it was a nice pleasant stay. House keeping was fine. Bed - Memory form.

2 times per year I visit the hotel. I have to admit that is really a very nice place, clean and especially I have to say the best for the staff-reception. I had before years a couple not pleasant experiences here, but I really admit the last years is honestly very 👍🏻. For me for sure a + Place to stay.

Xlnt facilities. Spacious and clean rooms with bar & restaurant on site. Staff friendly & instructive.

It’s a long way out of central Sofia. The room’s coffee / tea making facility has waxed-paper cups, not cup & saucers. A bit of a contrast to the otherwise xlnt efforts to reduce -lactic waste by not using plastic bag bin-liners in room trash bins.

We had an excellent stay at the Novotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great view. The location is convenient because it's easy to get to/from the airport, plus there is a great mall right next door and a bus stop close by with easy access to downtown. The staff were very kind and professional, and very accommodating to the needs of a young family. They had car seats that we could use for the airport shuttle. The staff very kindly washed our baby feeding gear and sippy cups for us. There's also a perfect little play area by reception to keep the little ones occupied while the adults check in/out. The breakfast was great, with many choices. One minor but highly appreciated feature was the water bottle filling station at the elevators on each floor (you can even choose sparkling water - nice!). We especially appreciated the great service we received from Sabina (front desk), Damyan (breakfast), and Traicho (airport shuttle) - thank you very much!

The only thing that we did not find family-friendly was the design of the bathroom; it's not a fully separate room. The doors don't lock and there is a gap underneath so there is no sound insulation. The glass wall can be set to opaque or transparent, but even on the opaque setting it isn't perfectly private. As a result, parents with young children may find they have trouble showering or using the bathroom in privacy. And it's hard to make a quiet trip to the bathroom after the little ones are asleep. Not a deal-breaker, though. Our stay was otherwise wonderful.

The front desk staff made our stay an excellent one. Radostin and Milan were extremely helpful, friendly and patient with our large group. They deserve an award for they fine hospitality. Check-in was seamless and professionally executed.

Spacious, clean, Rituals products in the bathroom, loved the water dispenser on the hotel floor (with both still and sparkling water). Good food at the restaurant&room service. New furniture, nice design, spectacular view from the room. Good free parking in the garage. Conveniently located near a mall.

The hotel is ideally situated for the airport and was easy to find. The Check-in process was really efficient and the staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. Rooms were excellent with everything you could need, very modern and stylish. We went to the mall that's within walking distance where there's plenty of places to eat and lot's of opportunity to shop. We had booked an overnight stay before getting our flight back home to the UK. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to people who are wanting somewhere before or after a flight. We'd also definitely stay here again when in Sofia.

Drinks prices at the bar are a little steep but we were expecting it to be fair. A Gordon's gin and homemade lemonade (which the waiter makes up in front of you) and two pints Kamenitzas was 35 lev.
