Wonderful atmosphere ! Staff are hard working and do anything to please and help. Lovely breakfast with eggs cooked to order anyway you like. Excellent food and drinks adjacent to the pool also good selection of cocktails. Staff happy and always available to help. The hotel has highly recommended tuktuks ready to go outside the hotel entrance , no haggling needed fair prices from the start. If your lucky get MrRa, knowledgeable friendly and an excellent safe driver. Mr Him the manager runs a great hotel with Wonderful staff, we actually extended our stay by two nights because we enjoyed the place so much !!! Rooms are lovely comfortable bed nice balcony and good sized pool.

The staff are so incredibly lovely and welcoming. The location is great, in a quiet side street but easy walking distance to everything in the centre. There are 3 buildings to the hotel but they’re all close together. There is 2 pools! The quieter one doesn’t get sun but is so lovely to relax at. The breakfast was varied and tasted great. The room was as shown and it was super easy to organise Angkor Wat tour with them. We chose sunrise and it was great. Got a packed breakfast to take and you can choose how long you want to stay at each place or if you want to skip any. Overall would 100% recommend staying here to anyone and would come back if I ever came back to Siem Reap!

Everything was great: super friendly and helpful staff, nice location with several restaurants nearby, a possibility to book activities (we did a pottery class), a laundry service. Breakfast was very good too, and the hotel actually provides a breakfast box if you have an early-morning activity that starts before 6:30 am (typical for Angkor Wat tours). The pool was lovely. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, it had a big balcony with a table and chairs. AC was working well enough. The wifi was fast and reliable (for watching videos and reading things). We had an amazing stay and would definitely come back!

The AC in our room kept being a bit noisy in morning around 6-7 am (no idea why then) so we had to turn it off for a couple of hours, and then it was fine again.

This hotel is in a great location, literally a 5 minute walk to the riverside night market and across the bridge to town. We got a double room with balcony, I wouldn't recommend if you have walking difficulties as the steps are very steep. Hotel staff are all very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The pool was closed for maintenance while we were there but should be finished now. This wasn't a problem as they have another pool to use. Tuktuk drivers outside the hotel and staff will get a price for you.

Nestled in the tranquil Riverside part of town, but next to the fun Night Market and just 5 minutes walk over twinkling bridges and colourful street food hawkers to raging Pub Street. This is THE place to stay in Siem Reap. Let the staff here pamper you. Enjoy Sopan's infectious laughter, and her happy thumbs-ups 👍 The whole team are superlative. We've been coming to the Golden Banana for nigh on 15 years, so you can trust our judgement and experience on this one

The staff was really friendly and helpful, always smiling and I think in a very honest way:) The location was perfect! Close to everything you need but also quiet and save. The Wat Damnak part of the hotel (it's where we stayed) is really pretty, like a smal village, it's cozy. All the trips we had planed were on time and also good organized (with the recommendation of the hotel- Angkor trip and Tonle Sap). We were given our breakfast "to go" when we went on the Angkor trip with the sunrise part. The breakfast at the hotel also nice, just basic stuff but good and fresh, there's scrumbeld eggs made specialy for everyone as they like. And a very important thing for me... i left my phone charger at the hotel (a good one, my favourite) and when I contacted with the hotel few days after leaving, the hotel stuff send it to me to Koh Rong Island where I stayed the following week. And this is what I am very thankful for, 5 star service! :)

I think theres is nothing to "not like";) I can have just few tips for the hotel:) We were supposed to be in Golden Banana (thats what we booked via booking) but instead we were given the rooms at Wat Damnak next door, which was actually a good thing;) The mattres could be more soft but its just me;) And you could add some fruits for the breakfast and maybe a classic coffee:) I loved staying at GoldenBanana/Wat Damnak :) Thank You!

I couldn't have been happier with my stay. The residences are absolutely lovely - not 5 star luxury but beautiful, colourful Mediterranean styled stone buildings. My deluxe double room was gorgeous with a good-sized balcony. The pools (two of them) are very nice and the included breakfast was better than most places. It's not in the centre of town but it's only a 10 minute walk to Pub Street and nearby shops/restaurants. Make sure to try Wild Cafe around the corner! All in all, amazing value, pretty quiet at night, and the staff were extremely helpful. I was able to arrange airport transfers and an Angkor Thom tour from the reception desk.

Only issue was that the aircon in my room was locked on. The only way to switch it off was to remove the card from the slot and disable power to the whole room. Couldn't charge my phone with the aircon off! Just be aware that there are no lifts so if you have problems with stairs, request a ground floor room.

I love the location. The area was peaceful. The price was not either. It is in walking distance to the night marking and pub street. The staff at the front desk and food area were wonderful. Everyone was helpful and welcoming. There is hot water!

I did not like that the decor/facility was outdated. The pool did not look like the picture. A lot of algae and missing tiles. The locks were old-school lock and key. The loitering tuktuk drivers in the front were aggressive and rude. Our electricity went out the first night. Not quite sure how the electricity wires were ran but there were a lot of light switches for odd areas of the room. Steep stairs.

Gorgeous room in central location in Siem Reap. The staff helped us organise everything from Angkor wat sunrise trip with guide and Tuktuk driver with a packed breakfast, and a trip to the circus as well as other recommendations. They organised for us to be collected at the bus station which was really kind and made arriving stress free as the Tuktuk driver was there waiting for us. Staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were able to do early checkin for $10 extra as we arrived around 7am which was much appreciated. 2 pools were nice, we had 2 balconies in our room which was lovely, bathroom great with toiletries provided and comfy spacious room. We loved it here and would definitely recommend and stay again! Free breakfast was also one of the best we’ve had for a long time with buffet style omelettes and croissants and fruit and Asian breakfast too. Restaurant did good food.

Noted that people found it difficult to find- the guesthouse was also called Residence Wat Damnak on Rambutan lane (and not clear about golden banana name) - easy enough to find though!

Perfect. I booked a room for myself and it turns out that I was afforded a top floor with two balconies. The staff are amazing. The hotel has trainee hotel managers through an academy of sorts and their service is second to none. It has two pools. A restaurant on site for breakfast lunch and dinner if you choose but it's only 300m from the river where food is served until the small hours. Superb location. The staff helped with temple visits, tourist information and all manner of requests that I had about money, prices etc.
