We were treated like Royalty by the staff of Somadevi Resort, nothing was too much trouble for them and any requests were attended to promptly and efficiently. From the front desk to the porters, pool staff and maintenance personnel, all were friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humour too. The pool is fantastic and the breakfast was decent, catering for a variety of cultures. We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I stayed here for 6 days. I loved it so much, I am going back again. The staff were absolutely amazing. They looked after me so well, made me feel like I was the Queen. I spent most of my time in the beautiful pool with a swimup bar, drinking Pina Colada's.! You can also order food at the pool bar. The bar staff were the best! They let me bluetooth my music through to their sound system for a nice change in pace. The room was very spacious with a balcony. The food was good, the facilties were excellent. This is my favourite hotel in Cambodia.

Nice room with small balcony and view of pool, big comfortable bed. Pool area is fantastic with swim up bar, big pool, lots of sunbeds and on the ground floor. Pool bar prices are ok (tap beer 3 for US$5 OR bottle US$2.50 and up, but cocktails US$5 or $6). Staff were all lovely. Hotel is an easy 500m walk to Pub St and the road and footpaths around the area were very walkable.

Bathroom is a good size with shower over bath and then another separate walk-in shower which is so small that you can barely fit in. Breakfast was reasonable, with lots of choice but not as nice as other hotels we stayed at. When I booked it said 20% off food and drinks...but when we arrived it was 20% off food and drink in restaurant only - this should be noted on booking.com. (Possibly why there was a large group with BYO drinks at pool).

This was an absolute gem of a hotel. From the moment I checked in I just knew I’d made the right decision when picking a hotel in Siem Reap. Absolutely amazing large pool. Fantastic breakfast options with a great mix of local and western options. Rooms are large, great bathrooms and very comfortable. Having a fridge is also a bonus. But I have to mention the Spa at this hotel - one of the best hotel spas i have visited. Huge selection of treatments/massage options. Staff there are so friendly too - if staying at this hotel you must make time to visit - I visited on every day of my stay. 5 mins walk to Pub Street. Great location. I would stay here again if I return and highly recommend staying here!

No negatives

the pool is spectacular, the pool bar great, (any cocktail 2.5$) and the food excellent. We had twin deluxe room with pool view for 5 nights. Very nice. Of course, we saw Angkor Wat and the Kulen Waterfall but the rest of the time we were happily staying in our hotel and going out in. the night in the well organised and clean centre with a decent nightlife. I live in Bangkok since 3 years and I regret not having discovered Cambodia earlier. I also recommend Luang Prapang in Laos.

Nice hotel, busy and resort style, a bit too noisy for me at times. Good for families and groups. Good location. Big pool Staff organised a tuk tuk driver to take me around which was great. Friendly cafe staff, good menu there.

Noisy at times from the pool and very loud music from buildings nearby at times. Pretty quiet at night though which is the important thing. Lobby very hot, usually no aircon on in there which made it uncomfortable if you wanted to just sit and relax there. Poolside is dangerously slippery, even walking didn't feel safe. Some safety matting but need it all the way around.

The pool and the spa are fantastic. When I first saw the hotel (we checked in really late), I thought the hotel looked rather dated. but in the morning light I realized it is actually is quite nice. It is centrally located and very convenient. The rooms are nice. The price is fantastic (btw, if you want a slightly more upscale place, there is the Somadevi boutique which looks very good, I am only saying this because it didnt come up in my hotel search, it has all the nice properties of this place but also seems really upscale)

The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The location was ideal for walking to Pub Street and other areas of the city. The pool was well maintained, and there were plenty of loungers around it. The restaurant, even though we didn't eat there, was reasonably priced. There is also a sauna and steam room, which is a nice extra.

There was a gym with limited equipment and a staff member in there permanently, which can be off-putting whilst exercising.
