Check-in process was smooth and trouble-free. The hotel is a stylishly designed in a simple, contemporary style. The location is good, about 10-minutes to walk to the main shopping areas. Plenty of Grab options if you don’t want to walk. Grab Tuk-tuks are inexpensive, plentiful and fun. There is a cafe in the hotel, but we didn’t eat there. We booked a Luxury Double Suite as it had a good offer. The room was very large, with a cozy balcony, microwave and hob which we didn’t use. The room itself is clean and bright, the bed and linen very comfortable, the aircon was very effective. The swimming pool is beautiful with many deck chairs and towels. Service staff was polite and efficient throughout, a special commendation to the front-desk staff Lin, Thy & Bo. Breakfast , which was included, was simple and quite adequate.

The bathroom was quite large, but here I have a few comments: First, we stayed 4 nights but were given only one toothbrush and micro-sized toothpaste. I’m sure they would have given me more if I’d asked, but you shouldn’t have to. Second, the shower water temperature varies from cool to scalding and back again.

This hotel is a little oasis in the centre of Siem Reap, from the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Then beds were really comfy, exceptionally clean and the pool was a welcome break after a long day visiting the temples. Breakfast was really good with a buffet style and the staff were exceptional, always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Bo, Lin and Thy at reception as their hospitality was amazing and always had time for a chat. I also want to give a special thank you to Mr Chan, you was our driver to and from the airport, he had great conversation and always made us laugh. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a 5 star service in the heart of Siem Reap

we booked the Luxury double suite for 6 nights room 511, and was more than happy with the size of the living room and kitchenette , if anything the living room was a little too big and slightly wasted during our stay , the bedroom was a generous size with a small balcony overlooking the pool , bathroom and shower in separate room AC worked well the small mini bar fridge worked exceptional well so cold it froze the water bottes ( which was an advantage when going out for the day in 37deg heat ) breakfast selection was comprehensive with separate egg satiation cooking to your request (a bonus is the breakfast room opened very 6am is you need to go out on an early tour etc , staff were all extremely friendly and very helpful and made a big difference to our stay , swimming pool was good size and not too busy always a sunbed when we needed , bar staff very efficient service drink and bar snacks very reasonable I would like to give my deepest thanks to the follow staff made our stay a very enjoyable and happy experience, Chhon for her bubbly personality Savoeut chivoin Lin

We've been traveling and stayed at various places for the last 2 months. Koulen hotel was our favorite in Cambodia (Lahana was the other one in Phu Quốc). Almost every(!) hotel doesn't deserve there self-acclaimed stars, but Koulen does. There is plenty of choice at breakfast. The swimming pool - especially for families- is outstanding: big, cozy, both good for swimming and playing with our kids. All the staff here is very kind, especially Bo, but this is no exception since all Khmer are sincere friendly and heartfelt people. The massage was incredible- the woman there has magical hands. We had a 2 bed-room appartment. It was always clean. After a few days they offered us another appartment with pool view. We enjoyed the stay so much and extended for another 9 days. Thanks Koulen team for a great stay at your place.

Outdoor pool area is beautiful with a lovely pool and bar. Food and drink from the bar was good quality with a nice varied menu. The location is safe and easy reach to Pub Street and other shops/restaurants. We had a 3 bed apartment which was huge, including 3 bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. The staff were lovely, really kind and attentive. Well located for sites such as Angkor Wat

We thought we had booked a pool/garden view but we were given a street view - the road outside was quite noisy and it meant we couldn’t use the balcony. There is a large kitchen area but it is very sparsely equipped so you cannot use it for anything other than making tea and coffee. We paid extra to get 20% off food/drink but it turned out this only applied to one meal in the Sala restaurant so wasn’t good value for money.

Breakfast was fabulous - great variety, changing daily; and cooked to order stations for eggs or noodle dishes. Good, reliable internet; good connections for our own devices on the tv. The shower was nice. The rooms were large. The location was great. The pool area, including bar service was fantastic. And great service from all staff.

Sliding door separating the bedroom was ok for sound reduction, but being glass it let in the light from the living room. We didn't plan to cook because it was a short stay, but there were no pots or pans or kitchen utensils (it's possible they would be available upon request but we didn't ask).

I can't begin to say how amazing our stay at the Koulen Hotel was. From the moment we arrived at the hotel it was a dream stay. Boleap, Sreylin and Chanthy the front of house staff welcomed us with amazing warmth and looked after us the whole stay. All the staff from the restaurant to the pool bar were outstanding. It was my 40th birthday and the staff all came out singing around the pool with a beautiful cake of fruits. It was very special and I'll never forget it.  Rooms were immaculately cleaned every day. The hotel itself was very comfortable, we stayed in the 3- bedroom suite and there was so much room.  The spa also was a lovely treat to have on site. 

The staff is amazing. Everyone was friendly and on point. Kom Lors, the F & B Manager was great at soliciting feedback on the services, the food and our experience. He went out of his way to arrange a reservation at a cultural show at the Morakot Angkor dinner theater, which was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and attentive and kudos to Savoevt, Chhon, Chivoin, Chhai, Somiarth as well as the day crew. I had a great massage by Hun, the in house Massage therapist. The facilities are wonderful and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not much. There was only some mi or issue with the television on the first day, but that was quickly resolved.

Location is excellent for Siem Reap. The staff are amazing. Bed very comfortable. Their Tuk Tuk drivers were all awesome, we used them multiple times. The pool and outdoor area is also outstanding, the best hotel pool we we had so far on our trip (6 locations).

The hotel is great, without being amazing. The breakfast is sufficient, freshly prepared eggs and noodles are fantastic, but the rest of the food is just ok (most other places we’ve stayed had much better breakfast options). Tip for others: When booking, request a room on the pool/garden side. Our room faced the road, and it was little noisy overnight.

We chose Koulen Hotel in Siem Reap—and we’re so glad we did! It’s just a five-minute tuk-tuk ride to the Old Market, a three-minute walk to the Royal Residence, and right next to a huge shopping mall. In short, it's one of the best locations to stay in the city. I’m not sure if Cambodian people are traditionally this hospitable, but the hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. When we were leaving, all the reception staff came out to the front of the hotel to say goodbye, as if a family member was heading off on a long trip. It was such a warm and memorable gesture! Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, from authentic Cambodian cuisine to Western dishes, catering to every taste. The beds and pillows are super comfortable—just as cozy as the ones at home. Sheets, pillowcases, and towels are changed daily and are always fresh, spotless, and crisp white. The rooms are huge—and when I say huge, I mean it! Each unit consists of a spacious bedroom, a small kitchen, a dining table, and a living area. The entire hotel is immaculately clean. I highly, highly recommend this place!
