Amazing, truly kind and so energetic staff (and volunteers!). Nobody has never taken care of me as in Mad Monkey Hostel in Siem Reap! They are so helpful, they are trying to get to know you and to for sure not feeing alone during your stay. Love the any idea of their parties!!!! I am impressed how they are involved with Cambodia’s issues and the way they fight with that. I am amazed all of their marketing ideas, how they use the language which is not too serious, but not too foolish. The idea even of how to use the toilet properly made me impressed. Brilliant ideas, such a creative, energetic, open minded community!!!!!!!!

The staff are so friendly and are great at getting everyone involved with whatever activities are on from day-to-day. The hostel itself is great value for money, nice and modern especially with 2 lovely pools that get a lot of sun during the day. It’s also great that you can book tours / transport easily and directly though the hostel.

Our room unfortunately had a broken AC on the first night, and didn’t get fixed until later in the evening the next day so the room was really hot. Also the curtains on the bunk beds in the dorms don’t close all the way so you don’t get full privacy like in some other hostel dorms.

I loved how this place is more sociable and the presentation stands out from may places that I've visited! They have great a/c and it's a fun, vibrant environment!

A couple of times the power went out during my weekly stay. It was only for a couple of minutes though. Everything else was pretty much exceptional!

I booked for 2 days and stayed for over 3 weeks. The staff are AMAZING. On my first night, didn’t know anyone, David the manager came and shared a beer with me and introduced me to some of the guests, after that it became my home. Boren, local worker there is AWESOME, he’ll happily have a drink with you but also make sure you’re drinking enough water and taking care of yourself, he even took me to the gym one day. Camilio, South American volunteer there is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. I was feeling down one day and he saw, showed me a video and sat and taught me a lot about life, as cliche as that sounds hahaha. Just such a great atmosphere honestly if you come to Siem Reap you have to stay there and experience it for yourself

Perfect spot. The facilities are great - 2 lovely pools with surrounding seats and bar, friendly reception and an extra counter just for booking trips/transport/activities etc. Lots of activity in the hostel, multiple events on each day to choose from. Approx 10-15 min walk to the bar street. The room was more spacious than expected, with a little balcony.

Food at the hostel was slightly more expensive than other places around but good quality and convenient to have on site.

Great sized beds with ample storage space. Lots of options for things to do if you want to join in, definitely more of a party hostel. Good location in Siem Reap, staff were really friendly

The curtains on the beds don’t go all the way across so aren’t the best in terms of privacy. Also wouldn’t recommend doing their Ankor Wat tour for the price it felt a bit rushed other than the 90mins spent at a lunch spot at 9am (the food there wasn’t included in the tour)

Super friendly reps!! Shoutout to Emily, shes a great asset to the team 2 pools Laundry service available (although very expensive) ATM outside Security at night sat on the door Fan during the day while AC is turned off which is good Activities and tours are always on (great whatsapp groupchat to join)

The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Mad monkey is normally known for its large beds and that was not the case. No curtains on the beds. No shower in the bathroom (wet room) which is tiny. So water goes everywhere. The bar and food is quite expensive. Location is quite far out and not really safe to walk back alone. And not much around. But tuk tuks are great to overcome this.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was walking distance from pub street and local markets. All the events organized like pub crawl etc. were really well organized. Food was delicious esp the local food Amok was one of the best. Cocktail menu was nice. Staff including the travel desk helped me in every possible way I met a whole lot of fellow tourists who were awesome. My room was very big and spacious.

I stayed in a private room hence basic things like hair dryer , slippers , dental kit would have been very helpful.

The location was excellent, an easy 10min walk into the centre but it felt quiet enough that you weren't in the hustle and bustle (easy walking distance to Pub street but not kept awake all night by it...!). Airport transfer service was great, it was nice to have someone booked for when I arrived, the price is also very reasonable. The food and general pool bar service was great, staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and always available. The private room was comfortable and clean. Plenty of storage space and a very large, comfy bed. The guided visit of Angkor Wat was really worthwhile. Everything ran smoothly and our guide was lovely :) Coming and going was really easy and my belongings felt safe in my room + when I left them in the hall area after I had checked-out. The pool is fantastic, a real plus of this hostel! Great way to chill out and escape the hot Cambodian sun as well as to meet new people. WiFi was really good.

It isn't a quiet hostel- not necessarily a bad thing, just important that you go into it knowing this. There are plenty of events going on which means music is played pretty late. There was a building site behind me which was quite noisy at night (at one point I had to ask reception to ask them to turn the music down which in fairness they did immediately do). Also around the pool, whilst it is lovely it is also very busy and music is played so it isn't the most relaxing spot!

A great hostel in Siem Reap. The staff were great and were constantly looking to help out and also get people involved. Triple room was very spacious, even had a bath! AC was great. Food and service was also great and the pool areas were well maintained. We booked the Angkor Wat tour through the hostel and that was also great! Thanks to Sokreom and the lads for keeping us entertained 24/7!
