The French/Khmer villa feel was charming. The staff where amazing and the food was great. I loved that the hotel have a work experience program that offers employment to young people entering the workforce. This hotel is my new favourite place in Siem Reap. Tuk tuks at the door, all staff were smiling and a cold beer at the end of the day. Living the dream🤓

I didn't like some of the customers. They treated the staff poorly which made me feel uncomfortable. This hotel has a budget friendly option so maybe your window doesn't open fully or your door has a small gap but that's what adds charm to the place. They do have more expensive rooms near the poolside and a sister hotel if you need to stay in something flash. But for. $20ish a night it's great.

Location was perfect. Really near the buzzing centre of Siem Reap (less than 5 mins to Pub Street) but it's located down a side road which is so quiet you don't hear any noise at all.

The rooms were small but very cute. My only thing (which wouldn't stop me staying there again) is if you're on the ground floor by the garden area, you can't keep your window blinds open if you need privacy i.e. dressing or coming out of the shower otherwise you could be seen. So on a sunny afternoon I had to keep the blinds closed which was a shame. Like I say though, it wouldn't stop me staying there again.

Location was amazing, within a few minutes walk of the river, night market and lots of restuarants and cafes. But, in a quiet alley and far enough from pub street to be peaceful. Rooms were comfy, and the pool was really peaceful and relaxing, especially because there were two pools so everyone had plenty of space. Breakfast was delicious and staff are incredibly helpful if anything is needed, e.g. they are happy to provide breakfast packs if doing sunrise at angkor.

Breakfast coffee was super bad and they also don't sell coffee at the restaurant. Staff are really friendly and lovely, but, as others have mentioned, it was a little overbearing. Moving around the hotel involved a bit of a gauntlet run to get past several members of staff heading our way, wanting to know where we were going... where we had been... what we were doing now...what are we doing later...what did we do this morning... and so on. I think it was intended to be hospitable, but because it was such intense questioning and so often, e.g. all through breakfast while eating or each time we left our room, we found it made it a bit hard to relax.

A small but cozy room which had everything we needed for our stay. Fridge, kettle, AC in the room. Nice breakfast, good choices, unlimited coffee. Nice pool area and a second pool option just next door. The location was perfect for night markets, the river and exploring the city- Just a short 5 minute walk away. And yet the hotel is tucked in a very quiet and peaceful spot. The staff were the most welcoming we have come across on our travels so far. Always smiling and checking if we need anything. Some I believe are students learning in hospitality and they were so lovely, speaking exceptional English. They organised a trip for us to visit the Hero Rats at very short notice. Tuk Tuks were always waiting outside at reasonable prices.

Perfect location set on a quiet street, a short walk to Night Market and across the river to Old Market, Pub St and other eateries. The staff were amazing, especially Him the front of house Manager. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked up on us to ensure we were enjoying our stay. AC was strong, room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and water provided, house keeping were lovely too. Room was a little smaller than expected, with our balcony set in the corner from the others so we didn't get as much room also not enough space for 2 recliners and a table like the others got. Breakfast was good, fresh egg station where they made the tasties omelette. 2 good pool to relax by, one more covered than the other so good if you want to be out of the sun. On our return to Siem Reap next time, we will.be coming back for sure, Amazing value for money!

Shame coffee was just instant sachets at breakfast, no fresh coffee considering a big coffee culture here. Beds were very hard Small balcony

Perfect location, short walk to the centre of town, on a no-car small street. Staff are always welcoming, smiling, and anticipating your needs. The small restaurant beside the pool is beautiful and quaint. My room was a unique ground floor corner room right beside the pool. Very convenient. The staff all speak English and are delightful. A great family run business feel to the place. I would definitely return, especially with the discount price that was offered.

Super quaint Cambodian style villas in an excellent location in a cute lane on the quieter side of river. Still within 5mins walk to river,market & pub st area.The staff were amazing, super helpful & friendly- nothing was too much trouble- they even surprised us by decorating our room & arranged a cake for our daughters birthday! Nice small bar&restaurant wth buffet breakfast included for our stay with fresh omelettes made to order. Pool was great to cool off after a hot day exploring.

Everything was great - we loved it here- if I had to pick something, the mattress was slightly too firm.

The staff welcomed you from the moment we arrived and made you feel so comfortable. You could ask any time of the day 24 hours and they would help you the best they can. I fell Ill for four days with flu and they bought food to our room and asked if I was getting better everyday. They where all so genuine and made our stay in Siem Reap absolutely incredible. Really nice people. They also train staff up which is fantastic and by stopping there you feel like you are contributing to their future. We felt right at home and we actually extended our trip and stopped there for 18 nights and still had plenty of things to explore in Siem Reap. Akun everyone! Wishing you the best for the future! Everything was great about this place. We were only meant to stay 10 nights, ended up staying 18 nights. Really lovely staff, they go above and beyond, and always happy to see you. The manager is lovely, very helpful showing you places to go and organising things. The room was comfortable and was serviced/cleaned every day. Free water refill was a bonus, and nice warm shower. Lots of places to chill out and the pool is great. Also it's in a fantastic location, within walking distance of the town. Would highly recommend staying. Thanks for a great stay Villa Wat Damnak!
