We needed a place to stay near to the Calgary Stampede for 2 nights and found this was the closest hotel. Although not what I would normally choose (on a busy road a chain) it was actually really good. Yes it’s a busy main road but it’s a short 10 minute walk along a quiet road (the cemetery road!) to the main entrance. Parking at the hotel is plentiful and free! The staff are all so friendly and the room is large and newly decorated. 2 comfy queen size beds and a good size bathroom and also a coffee machine in the room as well as a coffee machine in the foyer for takeaways! The breakfast included was a surprise and was actually really good. All self serve make your own delicious waffles and pancakes as well as a hot selection of either bacon and eggs or sausage patties and eggs. Plenty of juices, cereal, breads and yoghurt. Little space with not enough tables but I just sat on the lounge outside one morning! No it’s not cheap or in any way corresponding to $$ to room value while the stampede is on but given its proximity and the comfy beds it’s actually pretty good value! d

Busy road but quiet once in the room

I liked the room a lot: clean, big, very comfy beds. Friendly staff. Location is good, with the car you're quite fast in the city center. I liked the free coffee/hot chocolate machine in the lobby. They have a swimming pool and a fitness room, unfortunately we had not enough time to use them. Parking is free.

The reception area is a bit outdated. I was neither a fan of the breakfast (very basic), nor the breakfast room (no windows, not pretty). I would absolutely stay here again, but eat breakfast somewhere else.

The hotel was fully booked and many of the guests were in Calgary for an international conference. Most people had to be on their way at the same time and with the breakfast area being small, it was congested and very warm.

Simpler breakfast without the pancake/waffle machines which slowed things up. Offer a simple breakfast of premade eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, fruit and oatmeal, coffee, tea. The coffee machine could be upgraded.

Nice place to stay with free parking. Good location. There was a train track behind the property but the room was very well soundproofed and we never heard the train (even though we saw it). Room was large and comfortable. Good breakfast spread!

In the evenings, some guests would leave the pool area (basement) and walk through the building to the lift without using pool towels. Hence, at times the lift floor was very wet which was a hazard. Perhaps more signage to suggest that people dry off before exiting the pool area and returning to their rooms would not go amiss. However - this was a very minor issue and the property was still great to stay at!

The breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and helpful, the coffee machine downstairs was an added bonus which we enjoyed so much, the pool area was clean and quiet. Additionally, the coffee machine in the room was great as well.

It would be a great idea if they could add bathrobes in the guest's room, in case the guest wants to use the pool. Also, the paper/plastic cup was not a pleasant cup to drink coffee from, either in our room or in the restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel with 6 families and 7 kids altogether. The kids were constantly running around, going up and down the stairs, and making lots of noise in the lobby. Despite all that, the staff were incredibly kind and patient with us. Their warm and friendly attitude made our stay so much more enjoyable. We truly appreciated their understanding and hospitality!

We booked a Two Room King Suite with Whirlpool, regarding our visit as a romantic getaway for two. The room was fabulous, the bed comfortable, the jacuzzi very pleasant. The other room had a good seating area and a nice desk for work in the quiet time. The room was very clean, and the staff was effective and helpful. The hotel faces a major roadway but there was no noise or disturbance whatsoever. We did not try the hotel's swimming pool or the Internet and did not eat the continental breakfast; but they were there waiting for us. There is abundant and convenient free parking. And yes, the goals of our trip - to watch the fireworks from the high hill overlooking downtown and to visit the Highwood Pass, the summer-only back part of Kananaskis Country, and the charming little town of Bragg Creek - were achieved and very enjoyable.

The location of the hotel is in a busy place and hard to access, especially with several railroads blocking the surrounding streets. There are few good restaurants in the area, so we had to have our feasts far away and plan ahead. This, however, is not a problem having a car. And, yes, the price certainly bites for this kind of accommodation. But, we knew what to expect. It was worth it. One unpleasant surprise was the absence of steps to reach into the jacuzzi. This was a major problem for my wife, who has sore knees and is short.

Although slightly dated, we were pleased with our stay and the comfort of our room. Stayed for one night in June 2023 and although I have read that it was noisy, we didn't experience any of this at all. Bed was super comfy, air conditioned worked a treat, space was plenty. WiFi worked, great size TV, room included a desk area, coffee maker, fridge and bathroom amenities (these aren't usually great but Canada has some of the best!). Used the swimming pool and hot tub - no cubicle showers there, but no problem as we were staying at the hotel. There was no one else there at the time of use. Lots of parking available and staff were helpful. Made the mistake of assuming breakfast finished at 10 so we were late, but they were super helpful and allowed us to eat some of what was remaining which was more than sufficient enough!

Dan at reception was very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble and he kindly pointed out where we needed to go to get to the centre to get some food. The beds were extremely comfortable and breakfast was very nice with a varied selection to suit all tastes. Parking was in front of the hotel so we didn’t have to carry our luggage far which was a bonus.

The pool area was small and could do with modernising, but besides that we enjoyed our swim. The pool opening times were great, especially as we were up very early due to adjustment of the time difference.

Room size is perfect, lobby including the coffee machine is awesome. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Pool area was clean. Scotiabank Stadium is 30 minutes walk away. A few fast food places near the hotel, most of the normal restaurants in downtown (a good walk or 20min bus)

Downtown is quite a bit of a walk, about 45 minutes
