From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel had mastered the art of hospitality. The hotel is clean and well-maintained,. The host Michelle was very friendly and welcoming and loved the welcome pack with the added treats and history of the hotel. What truly stood out was the attention to detail, everything from the upscale bathroom products to the coffee, tea choices, separate kettle and mugs, Lovely outdoor patio seating and courtyard with beautiful flowers. As an added bonus is the heritage forest at the back of the hotel with numerous walking trails and so special to see some lovely deer during our stay. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend.

Beautiful grounds and very quiet. Property is well maintained and very clean. There’s lots of history to the building. The small deck off the hotel room wing was nice to sit out and enjoy the view.

Our room, though very clean and nicely furnished was dark as it looked out to the rear of the property. Bathroom was huge and had the only window.

Beautiful building, great site. Excellent staff. Excellent restaurant, if on the expensive side. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Room had no window other than in bathroom adjacent, despite advertised as 'garden view'. Could have been brighter. Door locks were rather frustrating... Sad & odd that no breakfasts available given room costs etc.

A very clean, classy and historical place to stay. Staff are wonderful. It was deliciously quiet day and night. The suite was very large and well appointed. Breakfast was not included, however a wonderful snack / fruit table was set up for guests. A small, quiet cooler was set up in the room. A coffee / tea station and supplies were provided, however a microwave oven was not supplied. Awesome view of the ocean. Beautiful landscaping in a park - like surrounding. Several golf courses nearby. Easy walking to the beach, parks and restaurants. Plenty of parking for vehicle. Quaint " Down Town " is close by for light shopping / groceries. Dine in at on -site restaurant with first class menu and seating.

That, eventually, our stay was complete and it was time to leave.

The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely setting and location. Our suite was wonderful, exceptionally clean, with nice amenities. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful.

Unfortunately, city water main work was being done, so the restaurant was closed as water service was interrupted..

Room was excellent, my partner loved the bed, unfortunately I prefer a firmer bed so woke up exhausted.

Amazing claw foot bathtub in the room but don't put anything in it as water seems to have a way of coming up into it, lucky for me it was only washing I put in there.

Everything was great. We went to the restaraunt and they were kind when my partner got sick (not food related). We will return.

The only thing we would recommend changing is the little fridges. In the room it was nice to have but it buzzed too loud so we unplugged it. Very mild issue. We would highly recommend, comfy beds and nice bathroom.

the history of the building and the character is very cool.

the shower heads, one in each bathroom, need replacing as the water comes out where they attach to the faucet. also, I dropped a water bottle lid under the bed and when I retrieved it, I discovered a 12” line of (undisturbed) dust in the middle of the floor, beneath the bed.

Modernised old historical building that oozed charm. Individual rooms and service was excellent. It was quiet and overlooked the golf course. Walking distance to Qualicum Beach shops, town facilities and beach. Lovely preserved forest backed onto the rear of the property with 500 year old trees. Plenty of parking.

This seemsLovely Hotel with aspect over the golf course to the sea. Rooms newly decorated. No breakfast available at all but we found good places in town which was a 20mins walk. Low staff levels was the reason given also for no room servicing but this seems to be a global issue since the pandemic.

Although our room was nicely decorated etc and we had a huge bathroom the room itself had no window and the only natural light was from the bathroom if the door was kept open. This made the room feel very claustrophobic but we coped for the 4 nights and were out in the daytime. I would not want to stay any longer. Not sure the lack of window was mentioned on Booking.com
