We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Aug 2024. The place is right on the beach. They have front staff on hand through the day till late (around 10 or 12). This is good for those on a late ferry. The unit was a little dated, but was clean. Beds were comfortable. The laundry room on site was clean. The machines are a good size. We had a lower level unit that opened onto the green space / sand. Enjoyed having a kitchen and was able to cook up some oysters. The hotel partners with the neighboring mini-golf place. That was a nice & enjoyable surprise.

There is no a/c. But they do have a portable fan in the room. There was a lot of dust on the ceiling fan, so we didn't use that. The balcony doors do not have screens so the occasional bug / moth flew in. While clean, the bathrooms are on the smaller side.

Front check in staff was amazing! She was friendly and super helpful. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy. We had a ground floor room with our own picnic table. The view was amazing! Although we weren't quick enough to secure a fire pit for one of our evenings, they are there to be enjoyed, which is a nice touch. We did play one of the many games they had (corn hole) for guests to play. We also wandered over to the mini-golf course to enjoy a free round! Some cute shops and restaurants are within walking distance too. So much fun. Overall, such great visit!

The coffee pot was tiny! haha! But it did make coffee; just had to make two pots. Not a big deal at all!

Location is the best in Parksville for access to the boardwalk and the beach. Views are outstanding.

The Staff is very kind and friendly. The room was clean and fully stocked with supplies. Oceanfront room, with yard space available for all. Right at the boardwalk along the water that leads to a big park with fun for everyone. Great central location, close to many great parks. Also played mini-golf next door, which was enjoyable.

Traffic noise can be heard a bit during busy hours, however, this was not an issue overnight (just rush-hour timing). Everything else was great!

We really liked the location and the convenience of having a kitchenette. We can cook our own food and because it's also close to everything, we can just go and get what we need. The beach is also just few steps away, no need to leave, load your stuff to your car and come back tired. Just bring your kid's sand toys, some towels, walk to the beach and have fun! When you're done, just rinse your feet and go straight to the shower then relax with some ice cream. We'll definitely come back!

I think it'll be the sticky floor and the tub that's slowly draining, but not really a big deal. Next time we go there, we'll bring indoor slippers and the water drains eventually, just takes few minutes. Im just a clean freak. Lol. At least there was a broom, i can sweep off the sand. 😊

Stayed with my family, two small children. Staff were very friendly, we were upgraded to a cottage, which was amazing as it was more private and bigger than just a room. It was a little older but everything was great! Could see the ocean from kitchen table and had everything we needed. The grounds are excellent, right one the water and there are fire pits for all guests to use. I would definitely stay again and would recommend this motel to others. Thanks again for the upgrade! 😊

The cottage should have a small firepit for them to use in case the big house is rented. Cottage was a little older but very charming so not a problem for us but maybe for some. The price but it's expensive everywhere, so considering the location it's a great deal.

The motel on the outside doesn’t look like much, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room. It had everything I needed in the little kitchenette for my three night stay, the room had been renovated and the bathroom shower was lovely. I noticed right away that it was spotless. But what impressed me the most was the view from the big window on the balcony. I was right on the beach and steps away from the boardwalk. It was lovely to sit there and watch the tide come in and out or to be able to walk and walk to the tides edge when it was out during the day. The motel is also very convenient to many attractions that one may want to see in the area. And Chris at the front desk is one of the friendliest, most helpful people I have ever met. He remembered my name and said hello whenever I saw him. He made sure everything was perfect for my stay. I love this little place so much, that after my first night, I went and re-booked for two more nights for my return journey back down the island.

We have wanted to stay at this property for a long time as it is situated on the beach in the center of Parksville. A little older, but is being upgraded. Our room was clean, comfortable with a gorgeous view of the beach and water. First floor units are walkout to the grass and beach, second floor units have the view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks Chris!! Totally satisfied and we will be returning in the future for another mini, on our own island, holiday!!

The location is superb. The accommodation was very good: adequate, clean bathroom (but, the bathtub is a bit too deep to get in and out). We have been coming here over last 30 years and will continue to go back.

We had only one room this time and the traffic noise wea a bit too close. Usually, we have a two-bedroom unit and it's better isolated. The price is a bit higher, but we'll go back to that unit. But this was our choice, no fault of the establishment.

I loved this place. Our room was a bit dirty and out dated but I know renovations are happening so I just loved it. Quaint and cute and homey. Please don’t change the relaxedness of the place when you get all of it renovated . It is so hard to find a small business like you guys where it feels like you’ve stepped back in time in a good way. Such a gem ❤️ The price was perfect and the rooms were huge ! Just such a good deal and find. The fire pit was also so much fun !!! Loved the big grassy area.
