The room was quiet and peaceful with good customer service. Overall, a great place to stay. It was my birthday so I was allowed 1 night of free parking. Thanks to the staff who helped to make my day more special.

There was no refrigerator or microwave available in my room which was very inconvenient as my food was spoiled and I could not buy what I really needed as no fridge to put perishable foods in or microwave to warm meals. This is the 1st hotel I had stayed in without any of these provided in the rooms .

The location was great; easy access to The Forks, restaurants, and transportation. The hotel is old and gracious, and all parts of the hotel were elegant. The bedroom was large, and featured a fold out couch, a king size bed, and a lot of space. The coffee in the lobby in the morning was a wonderful bonus after an early check-out.

I could hear people in the next room talking, which was annoying. There was also a lot of door slamming as people entered and left their rooms.

First of all, the hotel lobby and rooms are gorgeous, bringing one back to another age but with all modern conveniences. The location of the hotel was perfect for the forks market, river and the museum of human rights. It’s a Winnipeg landmark and very historical with great atmosphere.

The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the food. I have had much better bacon and eggs at a very much lower price! However my daughter enjoyed her avocado toast. The room was lovely.

Super yummy. -Room service was super fast, and captured all my small requests flawlessly. -Beautiful main lobby, restaurant and mezzanine -Really good value -Great staff -Free (and yummy) coffee till 10 in lobby. Why not 11am? -L’Occitaine bathroom supplies -My wife said the spa was fantastic

-Needs better maintenance and modern improvements -Bits of mold around washroom sinks -Hallways look like prison hallways (see my first point) -Bed was soft but not comfortable. Was tilted. -Cake delivered to room with no plates or knife to cut. Brilliant, delicious cake with no plates or knife?! And the forks were almost novelty size… useless.

The staff is friendly, professional, room service excellent, food amazing , hotel is beautiful, bed so comfortable , just perfect!!!!!

Getting to the parking, the guy at the front of the hotel directing traffic? Not sure what he was doing , was not a doorman (didn’t open doors) and was not a valet, (didn’t park cars ) and when asked about parking his direction were lacking and he was not helpful

Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel itself has beautiful decor and a sense of history. The room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities. Wonderful location, close to sights of Winnipeg. Delicious food and charming atmosphere at the Oval Restaurant, fabulous experience at the Hamam Spa.

I'm not sure if the issue was the mattress was too soft for me, or if it was because I'm recovering from a minor injury but I was not comfortable in the bed. I would also have appreciated a mini-fridge in the room. Overall though, it was a lovely stay and I would return.

Once we were reassigned to a room that did not have the only window facing a solid brick wall about 10 feet away (a "light shaft") everything was A-OK. We originally reserved a room with a Queen bed, and windows on the "front of the hotel" and this is what we were expecting when we went up to the room. However, when I expressed our profound dissatisfaction immediately after seeing the assigned room and returned to the front deck we were upgraded to a King room WITH windows on the east of the hotel overlooking the river, train station, museum, etc..

The check-in clerk originally said that we were being given a "Queen room with windows on the front of the hotel!" Lies are not a good idea!

Staff was friendly and attentive. Always accommodating. Beautiful hotel with historic ambiance. The Oval Room restaurant. Heated car park!

Drafty windows. Granted, it's an old building and it was -30 outside. There were two heaters in our corner room, which kept us cozy. Also not a fan of waterfall shower heads.

The Fort Garry hotel is a beautiful and historic hotel in the heart of Winnipeg Manitoba. The lobby and most public areas have been beautifully updated, maintaining the integrity of the original hotel! The rooms are consistent with that of an older (but prestigious) hotel and the bed and pillows (I stayed in standard king) were delightful!

Nothing! I try and stay at the Fort Garry hotel whenever I visit Winnipeg!

The second stay was much better than the first stay. We requested a room with no pet smells. Was eventually put on the 9th floor which was good.

The first stay which unfortunately we arrived at Winnipeg station at 2.15am as the Canadian was running 8 hours late. Did not know that the hotel was pet friendly, as I am allergic to pet smells and furs. Was put into a level 2 room 206 which reek in dog odur/smell really bad. Did not sleep much and woke up with 3 bites on my right leg from dog fleas in bed. Took photos to show the staff on my return stay a week later.
