The room had big beds and nice view. The floor we were on was quiet. We were able to check in early. Access to the tunnels around down town were great for the rain

the pillows we all the same size and too thick. much too thick. Having some thin soft pillows in the mix would be a good idea. The air return in our bathroom rattled when the heat kicked on.

Staff was welcoming and nice. The room and the view from the room were great. I think they could renovate the rooms to make the decor a bit more modern and less outdated. Bed was super comfortable.

Breakfast. While they offer things that you do not always see at hotel buffet like the chia pudding and benedict eggs, they should really pick much better quality bread than these poor quality supermarket bread. Especially when you know Halifax has some grea great bakeries. Also fresh juice would not hurt. Also, they say Pool and sauna open at 5AM, well we showed up at 6:30 AM to find the sauna cold with the door wide open. If you are with Kids, you will like this place, but if you dont have kids, hope you like them because the spa zone gets crowded with kids which makes the jaccuzi not relaxing at all.

Nice, comfortable rooms. Updated decor. Nice patio for happy hour drinks.

We arrived 45 minutes before check in time. One of our two rooms was ready and they promised to prioritize the second room’s cleanup. Sat in the Lobby and checked with the front desk after 30 minutes - not ready. Will be ready by the 3:00 check-in time, they said. Checked again at 3:00 - not yet. “Will be ready in 5 minutes”. We finally got the room at 3:15, only to discover the room was not the one we booked. The view was the unattractive building across the street instead of the green hill view we had a week earlier when we stayed at this hotel. “Isn’t that the room you requested?” was the question. Actually not, we said. “Sorry, that’s the only one available”. Since we only stayed one night we didn’t argue but were disappointed.

We flew in late in the evening, so were relieved that their Brio restaurant was still open and the valet service for our rental car and luggage was still able to help get us settled. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our dinner was great, our room was luxurious, clean, decent size and with comfortable beds. What made our stay so wonderful was the helpful, friendly staff. They were so welcoming and made sure, in our short stay at their hotel, that we were taken care of and given as much assistance as we needed to get over our exhausting day of travel and to enjoy both their hotel and their city of Halifax. We took taxis to and from the waterfront, which was so convenient to the hotel and their concierge couldn't have been more helpful in every way. We highly recommend the Prince George Hotel. They made the start of our trip to Nova Scotia such a pleasant beginning.

Really can't think of anything.

Beds and pillows very comfortable. Keurig pods in room for coffee, milk pods not powdered. Mini bar, fridge and water in room (for purchase, I assume). Buffet breakfast fairly good: scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, bacon, sausages, pancakes, roasties(potato), yoghurt, porridge and selection cereal packets, good assortment sliced fresh fruit, good coffee, nice toast for the asking. Across Carmichael St from ScotiaCentre entrance gates A, E, and D, so easy to walk in two minutes. Round the corner from the other entrance gates, and many good restaurants. Casual bar/restaurant (LevelBar) and formal restaurant (Gio) share same kitchen, same food, so you can be casual and still have a very good dinner. Immediate attention and help from staff on any question. Enclosed pedestrian walkway enabling one to walk down to the harbour without going outside (into snow or rain) begins at this hotel; and there are elevators in the 'pedway' for coming back.

no view from room 328, facing what looks like office windows so have to draw blinds to (un)dress, and facing west so a bit gloomy (opposite side, facing east, looks brighter, or higher floor). This made my stay less pleasurable than it would have been with a good view or brighter room, so I wish I'd asked if it were possible to change rooms. Kitchen closes at 10pm, so no late night (hot) meals from room service after long day out or a concert. Small snack shop in lobby for nuts, chocolates, potato chips or misc drinks.

The hotel's location was excellent, providing easy access to the Citadel National Historic Site and the harbor front, both just a few minutes' walk away, surrounded by a variety of restaurants. The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel were very good. Additionally, the staff at reception were very nice and helpful.

We tried the hotel's breakfast buffet on the first day. It was surprising to find that coffee and juice were restricted in the buffet. When we inquired with the restaurant staff, their approach was confrontational, which was unexpected for a hotel of this caliber. Consequently, we chose to have breakfast outside the hotel for the remainder of our stay.

The hotel is clean and modern and the location is great for exploring Halifax. The view of the Citadel from our room was a plus. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices from eggs to oatmeal. The staff were superb in their efforts to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Everyone was polite and asked if they could help in any way. The bathroom was very nice and the bed was "the most comfortable on the whole trip" according to my husband. The pool and hot tub were clean and pleasant. NOTE: if you pay for a 6th floor room you have access to a snack bar with 24/7 soda, coffee, and snacks.

The room was very clean, spacious, and the curtains allowed for complete darkness even with city light just outside the window. Very impressed with the hotel overall! It was a great experience, the staff were AMAZING! It's crazy how just being pleasant can really contribute to a great stay, but all of the front desk folks we spoke to were excellent!

It's not really a big deal and out of the hotel's control, but I think the weather cut out the television/satellite, so we could not watch anything from 6 pm onward.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. We were given a free upgrade to a deluxe king suite, which also included breakfast. When I asked why the free upgrade, the receptionist simply said that they like to please first time guests, if there is availability. Our room was very comfortably- it was 2 rooms made into one, so it was very spacious with 2 full bathrooms. The restaurant on site, Gio, was really good. Great menu and very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Wasn't impressed with the buffet breakfast. The "hot" food was cold. The scrambled eggs were tasteless. No toast. I asked about it, and the young waiter made me some, but it wasn't automatically offered!

The room was really quiet. The bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean. Great water pressure and hot water. There were nice amenities like coffee and wine glasses in the hotel room. The room had a desk where I could work and write as well as lounge chairs. The exercise room was small but was well stocked. The breakfast was really good. The staff - oh man, the staff - everyone was absolutely lovely! So friendly and helpful. Every single person I encountered at the hotel was just great! For example, my partner didn't like the poofy pillows and so I asked at the front desk for something with a lower profile. A few minutes later, an employee shows up at our room with a new pillow. Just felt so well taken care of.
