That they listened to what I needed and it was perfect for my mom who is elderly and has a very hard time walking long distances. Loved that there was a pub and restaurant on site. This was major. Breakfast was included. Staff was very friendly. Exceptional staff. In all areas.

Could use some updating for sure but was very clean. Newer TV would have also been nice.

We had such a great time. The room was so cozy. It was very clean and no musty smell. The breakfast that was included was above expectations. The pool was great. We had supper at Tom's place, one of the 2 on site restaurants and it was fabulous.

My husband ordered the romantic package of champagne and strawberries to be waiting in the room as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. With tax it was $37.95. I would not recommend wasting your money as it consisted of an Ontario bottle if sparkling rose and 2 medium sized strawberries.

I thought front desk staff could have been more welcoming. Called back to question charges on my credit card and talked to front desk staff who seemed abrupt and not very friendly. I have been in business for over 40 years and I have stayed at many hotels. I think a friendly, customer service oriented front desk staff should be expected.

Location is great, and the rooms were nice.

Breakfast food selection wasn't great for people with food sensitivities. I can't eat gluten, eggs, pork ... and the offerings fell into these categories. Thank goodness for fruit salad!! I checked the tea, and it is fortunately guaranteed gluten free. The staff were unable to tell me what was in the hash brown potatoes, so I couldn't eat that either. An allergy/ingredient listing for all foods would be immensely helpful for anyone with food allergies, etc. Offering a gluten free cereal, while not a fave food of mine, would be good too. Fortunately, I brought GF granola and a container of almond milk with me.

Had a lovely stay in a very clean, quaint environment. Outdoor pool was lovely. Convenient bar/restaurant on site, as well as a high class restaurant. Free breakfast was served in the restaurant

Staff on front desk were exceptionally helpful. Outdoor swimming pool was a nice facility Breakfast was very good & restaurant did not disappoint.

Proximity to Kingston was not great & buses only accepted cash with no change facility which was a little problematic

The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a little dated but very clean and comfortable.

We had a guest above us herd elephants through their room at 6am. I called the front desk, but I don't believe the issue was dealt with. Our good night sleep ended at 6

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom fan was working, but had no suction; must have been very dirty inside for the air not to be able to move through it. Plenty of storage space in the room. Great to have a fridge! Staff was great!!

The included breakfast was terrible. We ate there the first day and didn't return. The food was prepared for the 6:30 am start, was put in bain-marie's and sat there; scrambled eggs had had the consistency of rubber. The waffles, were also premade and left to steam, thus turning them into sponges!! We returned the second morning to find the same set up and the same choice of food and decided to go elsewhere. We never ate there again. Furthermore, being so discouraged with the quality of the breakfast, we hesitated to eat there for any of our meals!

breakfast was very good with a good selection, Tom's place was very comfy with good food room was clean and large, bathroom was very clean had all the amenities we were looking for central location close enough to all the attractions of the city

Breakfast could maybe go a little longer say till 11am on the weekends and 10:30 during the week

This is our second time staying at the Fireside Inn. There is a rustic charm about this hotel that brought us back. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any request. The pool just opened this weekend and we pretty much had the pool area to ourselves. Pool bar service is a treat and the pool area is very well kept.

Toms place bar and restaurant does not open till 4pm on Sundays this makes no sense and led to us having lunch downtown. Pillows are very soft my wife loved them but I couldn’t sleep with them. When I asked for. firm pillow I was told they have none , this was very disappointing. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and everyone to date either has a mix of firm and soft or can provide either on request. No vanity station for makeup in room not a major one but it was annoying for my wife. We went for a meal in Stefans restaurant had a reservation 8pm and half way through our meal we were the only people left in the restaurant we felt rushed and uncomfortable. Food was amazing though.
