The location is great! You can go walking to CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Scotia Bank arena, Chinatown... there is also a metro station near by and it's close to Union Station. Breakfast has a good selection of basic itens and the kitchen has all the necessary utilities if you want to cook. It's a good money for value option. I booked a single room with a private bathroom and it was great for a short stay. It was a lot cheaper than most of the hotels in the same region, the room is small but has everything we needed, the AC worked well. We were able to leave our bags in the locker before and after check out.

The check in time is very late (3 pm) and the check out is at 11. There is no possibility of an earlier check in even if you have a flight that arrives super early. The staff could be more friendly, they rotate a lot and most of them were not very kind. There is a homeless camp in the square right in front of the building, we didn't have any problems with them or any odd situation but it is worth mentioning.

The location is excellent, simple but free breakfast was a plus and well made bunk bed with curtains gives a sense of privacy. Lockers in the room was sufficient. Big kitchen as well. Enough space in the room in my opinion and few spots to relax.

Smelly bathroom…. Staff seems to do the strict minimum and are probably the less smiling and helpful I have met in decades of travel - all but one person. (They are very friendly between them thought) Hard to know who is actually working or just hanging… Based on my experience and the ones from fellow travellers no idea why a whatsapp number is provided for late checkin. You will not be answered. Being charged 15$ for late checkin was also a first…

I enjoyed my stay at the Clarence park. It is a clean centrally located hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was daily cleaned, the hostel was quiet and conveniently located close to all the major tourist attractions. I absolutely loved how comfortable the beds were and that they had the curtains that allowed a certain degree of privacy. I would like to express a special thanks to one of the staff members who recommended renting a bike on Toronto Island instead of exploring it on foot. I absolutely loved this experience.

The room was pretty hot, and the conditioner didn't really help much. We had to keep the window open at all times even when it was quite noisy outside due to the proximity of some bars. Besides, the smoking zone happened to be right under the window, and hence the smoke drifted inside the room through the open window that I didn't like at all. One more thing that I personally found a bit inconvenient is that the kitchen was closed for cleaning after breakfast time, and hence I couldn't have my own breakfast after 10 am when I really needed it.

Located close enough to Toronto's Union station for us to walk to/from trains. Appreciated the mini-fridge and desk + stool in the room; there was a tv too, but we didn't use it. Shower in our private bathroom had good water pressure. Free Wifi worked well. Didn't use any of the common facilities. One desk staffer made an extra effort to help us: because we were leaving too early to get the free breakfast, she fetched some snacks (the evening before) for us to eat in the morning. Also the desk staff were helpful in recommending a good place to buy takeout sandwiches for our upcoming train trip. Note that this is a hostel, not a hotel; the small room size and need to climb stairs carrying your gear shouldn't be surprising.

Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived at checkin time, but the wait was less than 10 minutes. Be aware that the hostel's front desk, lounge, and kitchen are in #7. This might be a different (but adjacent) building, with a different outside door code, from the one with your room. In bad weather that would be inconvenient.

Great place to stay in the heart of downtown Toronto! Staff were very friendly, helpful and fostered a communal vibe. The private room and ensuite was cozy but definitely enough space for a couple. The location was central, felt safe and walkable to many nearby nice restaurants and stores. Price was perfect - definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere good value!

We didn't use the fridge inside the room as it smelt a bit off. However, we ended up using the communal fridge in the kitchen so no issues there.

The location was wonderful and the building was really nice. I was in a four bed room, so it wasn't a problem at all using the bathroom when I needed to. The beds had nice full curtains, allowing the light to be on in the room without disturbing those in the beds. There were spacious lockers for each bed. The breakfast was really welcome and had a good selection. The street cars in Toronto are super easy to use and have stops right near the hostel.

When I first arrived, I was driving and there was no way to find the parking and nowhere to stop to go inside. I ended up driving around in Toronto a bit and nearly getting lost. Turns out the parking lot entrance is a small alley directly after the corner gas station from the larger road that is very difficult to see. Driving around Toronto trying to find a place to park is really not fun. After all that, everything was great!

The location was in the Entertainment District not far from the Union Station in Toronto. We walked from the station and it took around 15 minutes. We loved our room, which was a double with en-suite. The bedroom was a good size with a lovely, comfortable bed, and we loved the bathroom which was bigger than most you would get in a 4 star hotel. There was also a huge, flat-screen t.v. in the room. There was 24 hour access to the property and the staff was very helpful.

Our room was on the 2nd floor and had 2 flights of stairs leading up to it. However, one of the workers very kindly carried my luggage up to our room. This may present a problem for some people. We were told there was a breakfast included, however, there was nothing I could eat as I'm coeliac. This doesn't really bother me as I'm used to not being accommodated and usually buy something for myself. I bought some gluten free cereal at a nearby store (I was surprised at how few options there are in Canada for people with coeliac disease - tons if you're veggie or vegan, of course).

The Clarence Park is well located - I could walk from Union Station to there. Also, it's close to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, relatively easy to walk to the main points of interest, and well served by public transport. The room was clean (+1 for the cleanliness of the bathroom! ✨), the bed was comfy, the room had an air-conditioner (it was unusually warm for October, I really welcomed that!). Wi-fi worked well in the whole building. Staff were amazingly polite and friendly, since the time I booked the room, I had some questions prior my stay, they were really nice and I was happy to see the same treatment in person. The property also offers storage for luggage.

I loved my stay in The Clarence Park, no complaints.

The location was a convenient 15 mins walk from Union Station. However if you do have heavy bags, it's just a short Uber ride away. Many dining options in the area, and short walk from pick-up point for Niagara Falls with Queen Tour. The rooms, bathrooms and showers were very clean and well maintained. New set of bed linen for each guest upon check in. Bed/mattress was comfortable, I slept very well. Power sockets readily available near your bed. Curtains available for every bed which gives you good privacy during your stay. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Check in was relatively easy but do note you need a physical credit card for check-in. Virtual cards are not accepted. There is also an additional city tax implemented that's not reflected online which you will have to pay upon check in. The room I was in (building 9) had a very loud and squeaky door leading to the bunk beds so each time someone uses the door, you are disturbed. But nothing some noise-cancelling earphones or ear plugs can't fix.

clean and tidy

the security staff a little bit not polite manners when asking the guests, but i think it would be better the prevention by not allowing people to smoke and drink in the rooms. in general quiet good, just i realize in my second day while i was out of the room, people paid to stay in the same room drinking and smoking in the room eventhough smoking was not allowed and also they used my bed … anyways i just told the front desk. the milk was spoiled fourth day and some rotten fruits in the next days, I think that is not nice.
