Kept clean

Paying $32 a night for parking is ridiculous. We didn’t like the fact there are crackheads in the alley doing drugs right beside the property.

As everyone mentions, its location was perfect. Though it needs 8 min. walk to either Green or Orange line, it was easy to go anywhere. There are a supermarket and various shops and restaurants nearby. A 747 airport bus stop is in 1 min. away, which I think is a great feature.

The disposer in the sink was not fully cleaned and water didn't drain well. So there was odor. We found disposer switch and ran water several times. The odor got better but it didn't help drainage much. Our stay was far better if there was no disposer odor. I hope the Hotel will fix it for the next guest. But a maintenance person came to our room right away to help us turn on the TV. We were told the TV switch is connected to a lighting switch. So I advise you to turn on all lighting switches if you can't turn on the TV.

It was above my expectations. After reading all the reviews I was expecting something old, dark and dusty, but it was neither of those. The room on 11th floor was bright, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Location is 13 minutes walk from Notre-Dame and central streets. In overall you get what you pay for.

There is a lot of weird people on the streets at night (but it’s like everywhere in Montreal). We saw a car with a broken window on the street parking near hotel, so it’s probably better to park in the hotel parking lot. The towels were too thin and old, and are begging for the replacement. Bathroom cleaning might be done better, there was some hair on the floor which didn’t belong to us.

The hotel is great. Easy to get from the airport by 747 bus. Location is perfect, safe and very close to the bus stop and subway. The room was unexpectedly big and cozy, perfect beds, iron, kitchen with all necessary equipment (everything: cutlery, kitchen towels, tissues, microwave, toaster, salt, pepper...). There were towels, hairdryer, toiletries in the bathroom. The city view from the window was amazing. Wi-fi was good. We'll definitely come back to this hotel.

The only thing we didn't like very much, was a type of the shower tap. It was a bit difficult to wash my hair. (But we are from Europe, maybe it's just because we are not used to such types of shower taps).

I had a very peaceful stay here. Excellent location, close to a really nice grocery store (IGA) and a few metro stops (green and orange lines). Also an easy walk down to the riverfront/port area. Lots of food options nearby as well. My room was extremely quiet and it was a corner unit so I had views on two sides. The room was very large, too, much larger than I needed by myself. It was great to have a full kitchen, even though I only utilized half of it. I thought the bed was comfortable, and it was nice to have a firmer pillow for once. For the price paid, this was a fantastic value.

My room was pretty well cleaned, but with some details missed. Someone had squashed a spider on the wall, and it was still up there as a warning for the others. A lot of the dishes were dirty, including the one in the bathroom, so I had to re-wash them. It's also clear this is quite an old hotel. It does not feel rundown, but definitely dated.

The front desk clerk was exceptionally professional and helpful with many suggestions for us to consider as first time visitors to the city. The room was reasonably comfortable, though the air conditioning being in the bedroom made that room too cold for the occupants while the main part of the room was slightly too warm. We liked the appliance sharing idea, though we found there are a few items that could have been included. Our room had a full kitchen, that we utilized regularly during our stay to feed our large family. We could have used a baking sheet and other items one would use in an oven.

The a/c drain tray flooded over at some point during our stay. Perhaps, there is some a/c maintenance that needs to be done on these units before the hot season?

Very good location, near to most turistic places, easy access to bus and metro stations, a couple blocks from Chinatown. There are several grocery stores around, also several restaurants and bars. You get several interesting places walking, the staff is nice and always willing to help. I asked for a late check out but it was not possible, so I was offered to stay at the lounge and store my luggage until I left.

Personally I do prefer not so soft beds and that's the only con from perspective.

This accommodation is great value for money. The staff has always been super friendly and helpful. It's possible to do free laundry. The location of the hotel is not in the very best area, but we have always felt safe. There is an airport bus stop just over the street and 2 metro stations for green and orange lines are very close by. Also the old harbor is only a short walk away.

Depending on the length of stay there is limited room service. You will be asked to schedule it at checkin. If they don't come, it's good to check with reception - in my case the scheduling had been forgotten, but the staff fixed it quickly after I reached out.

The staff were brilliant and very helpful, particularly helping us to see an important footie match while we were there, making arrangements for us at a local bar. The room was comfortable and quiet. Location is perfect for everything we needed. Gym was good and helpful to have free laundry on site. The kitchens and rooms are all basic but equipped with everything you need and spacious.

Some areas look like they need a little T&C but this didn't detract from a great stay.

While the property is dated, it’s very clean. Our toilet was a little wobbly but no leaks or stains or anything. There were no corner cobwebs or dust bunnies, everything was really well cared for. Having the kitchenette was nice, like staying in an Airbnb without any cleaning fees etc.

Our window didn’t latch closed initially. We eventually got it to suction so it wasn’t a problem after that. Just one night of noise. I’m saying that, we didn’t talk to management or anything so perhaps they could have fixed it during our stay. The toilet was a bit wobbly but not really a big concern.
