The Bidasoa is located in a pleasant neighborhood with plenty of shops, restaurants, parks and quiet residential streets. A very walkable area. Breakfast is buffet style, and it would be hard to say what could possibly be missing from the diversity of choices. We loved it. Overall, there is a relaxed atmosphere with a very congenial and helpful staff. We used Ubers and Booking.com taxis for transportation to other parts of the city.
We had several meals at the restaurant, which we enjoyed but we wished for more healthy eating options; those with lower salt, fat, and more fresh ingredients.

We are more than happy to choose this hotel for our last days of a 3 week trip in South America. Everything was perfect. The location is a beautiful suburb, safe and peaceful. The hotel itself is fully renovated, rooms and bathrooms feature an excellent warm style. Our room had a beautiful view of the city and the Andes. There are 2 great restaurants in the property and we tested them both. For this quality of hotel and service, I consider this hotel very reasonably priced. Top marks for the stuff, from Patricio at the reception who welcomed us after a long and tiring day traveling, to the stuff in restaurants and cleaning service, they were all great!
The only disadvantage is the distance from the historic center, but commuting by taxi was very easy and affordable. And it was great to stay at this beautiful and safe neighborhood.

The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and large. The food in the cafe style restaurant is very good but the stand out feature is the vegetarian retaurant "Sanz" attached to the hotel. The food here is exceptional and it has a great atmosphere.
The hotel is not particularly central, it is a good taxi ride to the centre and there isn't much in the area around the hotel. Note that government regs mean you have to pay in dollars, not local currency. This means you have to pay by cash or credit card, debit cards incur a 19% tax surcharge. Not the hotel's fault but worth planning for.

Even though the hotel was fairly small, the decor of the rooms, lobby, restaurant, and the ground had a calm, serene, yet hip design. There was a sweet but not overpowering aroma throughout, which I found relaxing. The staff was very helpful and friendly even though some of them had limited English. We were able to leave our luggage in the afternoon after we checked out but still had a little bit of time to explore Santiago. When we got back, a receptionist made multiple calls to get a taxi for us because it was hard to find a taxi on Christmas Day evening. The big windows facing the residential areas and the mountains gave a feel of being semi-outdoors despite the fact that I was chilling in this A/C room when it was in the upper 80s F outside. The long bench by the windows was great for lying down while enjoying the views. The beds were comfy and large.
Even though the food looked very appealing, just as the hotel decor, the flavors were rather bland for my taste. I wish more seating areas were not part of the restaurant since the pool area was very small.

Beautiful decor and hotel. Great, safe location as well with great restaurants around and shops. Very hard to find a breakfast this good! Super peaceful and quiet as well.
Common to see a hotel in santiago that says it's 5 stars, but still doesn't quite make it. While this place is great, it lacks details such as robes, room service, fluffy towels etc. The AC was lackluster as well. It also smelt a bit dingy or musty. I am not sure if it is due to pet-friendly as the odor did smell as such.

As a vegan, this was the perfect place to stay! The breakfast offers tons of vegan options such as avocado toast, vegan pastries, vegetables, and vegan milk, and the on-site Casa Sanz vegan restaurant is great. The design and decor is quirky and cool, the staff are great, and the room was spacious and clean. The area is super safe, too, with an excellent shopping mall just 15 minutes away on foot.
One night we asked to book into Casa Sanz and the member of staff on the desk told us we could book for 18:30 but when we arrived they told us it only opened at 19:00. Only a tiny thing but would be good if all staff could be sure on timetables. Apart from that they were super friendly and helpful.

This is for a sustainable minded traveler who wants to enjoy the “luxus” of a qell designed hotel with a smaller ecogical footprint. it has everything that a business or leisure traveler might need, spacey comfortable rooms, nice restaurant and bar downstairs and a pool area for relaxing. It is easy to move around Santiago, and the area where it is located has a lot of restaurants and green areas. Shopping Center and Parque Bicentenario are quite close to go by bike or walking.
The pool area is in the shadow in the afternoon, which limits the sun bathing but this is a minor issue.

Loved being able to eat in the garden. Even though the best area is a smoking area there was no-one smoking there, so we were able to use it. Breakfast was better than in most places we stayed in in Chile. Good ambience. Interesting choices on dinner menu.
Portions for dinner menu were huge. Both meals I had there I ended up not being able to eat what I had ordered - even though it was a starter. One portion of chips shared with my husband was more than enough for both of us. I was disappointed to see that this 'eco' hotel was serving Perrier in glass bottles for their only sparkling water - imported from France. That is not very eco.

Service was a 5 at all times. You can tell, employees had a very good attitude and always wanting to help. Facilities were lovely.
The room we had, 205, was right over the entrance to the hotel. I like to keep our windows open but could not because of the noise or if someone was smoking a cigarette or cigar, the smell in the room was overpowering

Great decoration, authentic and charming. Great breakfast, but missed something different (every day, same offers). The location is in a great neighborhood. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable.
Our room was above the restaurant, and too loud. During the weekend, we couldn't sleep until midnight because of the noise. Also missed having room service.
