The room had a pungent smell of cigarettes, although I booked a non-smoking room. I found a half-smoked cigar and ash in the wine cooler. The staff simply took a photo and said they would fix it. No one at the front desk or in the lobby speaks English.

The hotel, is actually known as just Elegant Hotel or Mehood Elegant Hotel and is situated in the Tiande Centre, offering stunning views of the Pearl River and Canton Tower. Guests are provided complimentary late-night snacks from 11 PM to 2 AM and afternoon tea from 11 AM to 6 PM. The rooms were equipped with the luxurious Dead Sea Essentials by AHAVA toiletries. A nearby high-end IGC shopping mall and a nearby charming food street with numerous Chinese restaurants provide ample dining and shopping options. We personally enjoyed the delicious Turkish food at the nearby Antalya restaurant. The hotel was kind enough to extend our checkout time to 1:30 PM upon request.

Only a few staff members spoke or understood English. Despite the language challenges, the staff's efforts to communicate, sometimes even using translation apps are commendable. For Canton Fair attendees, the hotel offers only 2 shuttle bus services to and from the fair with prior booking required. In-room amenities, such as the TV and Wi-Fi, were subpar. The TV only had Chinese channels and had frequent signal interruptions, while Wi-Fi connectivity was very bad. To address Wi-Fi issues, the hotel provided a hotspot connection from the TV. Additionally, the elevators often smelled strong food odors, creating an unpleasant experience for guests.

We had a room overseeing the river and the canton tower. Beautiful view! The hotel is a perfect place for get away as it offered complementary hi tea from 11 am to 6 pm and supper from 11pm to 2am. There is a great spread of food at Breakfast and many restaurants/food outlets at the TienDa Plaza which is just next to the hotel. We Love this place and wished we had stayed longer.

There is no dedicated concierge staff to help visitors like us to navigate around the city. The front desk staff merely rely on social media to search and provide advice when needed.

Location is very good. The view is fantastic showing the canton tower day & night view wonderful really. Restaurant is just around the corner. Convient stores also… next to igc mall…. During the night you can just have a walk down the hotel and coffee shops is everywhere too… kudos to the staff they don’t speak good English. But they are doing 100% effort to answer all your needs , questions & inquiry. They are very accommodating.

The hotel is quite new, the area is great, you have everything very close to you. The hotel offers some nice restaurants, a very good bar and many other facilities. I really liked that the hotels offers free laundry room. You could wash your clothes for free there. Also, the nightlife in the area is very good.

The staff should learn a bit of english, unfortunately they could not speak english very good. On the other hand, they had some translation device so it was not that bad. One other thing that we did not like the most is that it was very busy and a bit noisy, especially in restaurant.

Location was the key! It was at the heart of the city surrounded by two shopping malls and numerous restaurants featuring various cuisines for different taste buds and budget. There was the Pearl river and the famous Guangzhou TV tower right in front of the hotel, where the evening/night scene was spectacular.

During summer vacation holiday too many kids making loud noise around. Sound proofing was not he best and you can hear them from your room. The beautiful marble flooring at entrance was very slippery and dangerous especially in rainy days.

Excellent service and beautiful view. The rooms, gym, and building were modern and clean. There is a bank nearby for cash withdrawals. Note that the check in desk is on the 28th floor.

The location is a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind.

This property paid attention to a crazy amount of details. There was a charger in my room courtesy of the hotel and they also have a midnight noodles bar for guests that are hungry at no cost 😭 and so much more, can’t remember most right now.

What’s not to love about this hotel. Incredible location with sensational views of the Canton Tower. Wonderful and accommodating staff. Beautiful rooms with everything that you need and more - hair dryer, bath robes, PJs, fruit bowl, bottled water (also available around the hotel).
