The location is great. Nearby, there is a farm with many animals that you can pet and see. We booked a simple house with a fireplace. When we arrived, it was ready for us to light a fire and prepare marshmallows. The restaurant is excellent—we loved the food and the service. Parking is conveniently located right near the house. We had to depart early, and the restaurant kindly prepared a great breakfast for us. We simply handed the keys to the owner and left.

The shower wasn't as warm as we got used to. We waited for a few minutes, but it was still just slightly warm. This is fine if the weather is hot, but in our case, it was a rather chilly night (16°C). We found a scorpion near the fireplace. On one hand, it was really cool to see one, but on the other, it was quite scary.

Breakfast was great, nice restaurant, friendly servers. The property was a quaint, little farm with several cabins, very affordable and enjoyable. A fun place especially if you have kids or are looking to add a visit to a little farm to your itinerary. We chose it for its proximity to Poas and that worked out well for us.

We arrived at night and the cabins, being cabins were relatively dimly lit which generally makes things look more earthy and less modern. Not really a criticism, just a sensibility. It was much cooler in the mountains than the beach from which we had arrived. It is also very windy up there, and coincidentally back in the US they were getting winter storms, so overnight we could hear the wind and had the misconception that it was really cold outside. When we came out in the morning with the rooster crowing it was actually quite pleasant outside. It is funny what psychology can do to you. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The property is amazing! Such a beautiful farm with the cutest lodges! We loved our stay here and the restaurant had great food!

We had an early tour meaning we would miss the 7am breakfast. To accommodate the staff said we could arrive at 6:50 to get an early breakfast and that he would inform the staff to prepare everything 10 minutes earlier for us. On the day, this message was clearly not relayed as the breakfast was not ready until 7:05 and nearly made us late for our tour. A 7:05 start is normally fine and we were happy to skip the 7am breakfast, but it added stress to our trip because the receptionist did not carry out a promise he made us. Again this would have not been a problem if the receptionist didn’t make this promise.

Trully an amazing service from the lady at the reception office, helpful and comprehensive. We tried the chalet and the glamping and both were very cool and different experiences. The food at the restaurant was so good, honestly we were impressed by the quality of the food proposed. The service was also excellent from the staff at the restaurant. They have a very nice site, not far from Poas volcano and the area is pretty nice to visit too. 100% recommended.

The cabin was spacious and although we didn’t light it the wood fire seemed a nice idea. There is an on site restaurant where we had a good evening meal and a very good breakfast. The grounds are spacious with normals

There was a kettle and a fridge in the cabin but no other equipment or plates or utensils so self catering was not an option. The bathroom facilities in the cabin were compact and the electric shower produced a gentle and a modest flow of hot water

Hotel is conveniently located near Poas Volcano and Doka coffee farm. There is a great restaurant onsite as well as plenty of nearby sodas and restaurants. Glamping cabin was clean and very comfortable with a beautiful view and a sense of privacy. The grounds are well kept and we loved visiting the farm animals. Staff were all warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good!

Nice wooden cabin on farm style lodge, excellent for stay with kids. Fireplace ready to light with enough spare wood asside. Good food and very nice breakfast. Playground for smaller kids. Unfortunately we had no time to test spa

One mattress too soft at certain places, other pretty stiff. Yet nothing dramatic, might be good to check the conditions of them

The rustic feel was really nice, especially having a fireplace and kitchen. The massages were really good, but would have been nice to park next to the massage building for their that can't walk easily.

It was hard to get hot water from the shower. The fire was hard to light since there wasn't much kindling to get it going (thankful a staff person could get it going for us). The only chain for 3 people was for 8 people. It was plenty spacious but I would have been nice to have a nicer cabin but some of the amenities in the smaller ones (jacuzzi tub).

We arrived later in the evening and the host was watching out for us which was great. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing and we had a fabulous evening being looked after, enjoying good food and wine. The rooms were fabulous except we had no hot water which wasn't very good with a beautiful bath in the room next to the fire - it meant no bath... or shower for our stay. The rooms had everything you would need with nice touches for our arrival - lovely chocolate nibbles and stocked mini bar. The whole farm was tidy, clean and felt very much looked after. The views were of the mountain and were lovely. We had a good parking space and a lovely breakfast.

No hot water at all spoilt our visit, we were travelling on the plane the next day so by the time I arrived home I hadn't had a shower for a couple of days !!! Everything else was great.

+ Really quiet and calm beautiful cabins in a secure compound + Staff are super nice and helpful + Good location to explore Poas and near by waterfalls + Mattress was pretty comfortable + The breakfast is really nice. In general, the restaurant in the compound is great

- Should improve the water pressure in the shower, it’s getting cold and with hot water there is almost no pressure - It’s getting cold there, especially at night. There is a fire place which is amazing but additional heating is required in our opinion - Not all chalets really have a Mountain View, just note and maybe ask in advance
