We spent a wonderful week at Best Western in Costa Rica with friends. The ocean-view pool was amazing, and the breakfast was always tasty. The staff were super friendly — a special thanks to Itzel, who was always smiling and happy to help! The beach is very close, and we learned to surf there. We could even borrow surfboards from the hotel for free, which was a big plus. We also enjoyed a fun pool party over the weekend. For the price, this hotel is a great deal. We were very satisfied and highly recommend it!

The beakfast was amazing and all of the staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I love the pool and places where you can sit to sit around that area of th hotel. The bar is aslo amazing and serves amazing cocktails at great prices with th 2 for 1 option specific drink for each day of the week,

I found the price was very expensive even if the hotel is great and contains many things such as a bar, pool, gym and restaurant. I understand that normallly prices are higher especially at busy times where the demand is greater such as Christmas vacation and March break. However, I still don't agree with the extremely higher increase in prices during periods where the need to reserve a place to stay is more popular. Furthermore, I was a bit disappointed that I paid $150 more the first night I stayed on the hotel when I booked the room in person compared to the second night when I booked on a website like bookings.com or hotels. com, I also didn't understand why I paid around $60 more when I checked in at the hotel than the price indicated on the website when I made the reservation.

Excellent breakfast menu of local and ‘international’ options that set you up for whatever is on your agenda. Our sea-view room and terrace gave a good view of Playa Grande. Very comfortable bed and adjustable air conditioning. Friendly staff always available to assist with queries. Across from the best beginner/intermediate surf area on Playa Tamarindo, with an on-site surf school (Salty Sols).

We were a bit unlucky with very wet weather during our stay (early November). But staff were on hand immediately to sort out any problems.

The room we booked was spacious, clean and offered amenities like a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. It had a patio facing a gorgeous view of the ocean. There were lots of areas to sit plus a desk and dresser. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice our rooms were. The grounds are lush and filled with greenery and the pool was incredible. Drinks at the bar are pricey but they had a good variety if the occasion strikes. Breakfast was included in the price which was so budget friendly. The food was simple but with a few different options to suit just about everyone's appetite. And the Costa Rican pinto was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the vibe was pretty relaxed. Lots of free parking and the free wifi worked well. Also great location not too far from the center of town but far enough away where it's pretty quiet. I would definitely go back.

The hotel is older and could use some updating and better upkeep. Especially the gym which had some outdated equipment and treadmills that didn't work. And the lush plants could use some pruning. The bathroom was small and the sink was uncomfortably high, making it at times difficult to use properly. Plus I would have preferred they had cleaned it better. We ran out of hot water on our 2nd night, which was unfortunate. Drinks at the bar are pricey and the pancake breakfast wasn't that great but they do have some variety on the menu. All in all, for the price, I thought it was a great budget friendly option.

Best breakfast anywhere. Fantastic. The hotel was beautiful and right across from the beach. The hotel is within walking distance of everything in town. Staff was outstanding. Hotel room was clean, simple and comfortable. Excellent value- especially if you are young and you like a party because the Friday night party is something else.

On Friday night, it was loud, but I didn’t have any trouble sleeping through it. Worth it!!

Our room had stunning views of the beach. It was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good size balcony. We enjoyed the pool which was often empty. There is a chill out area next to the pool/ bar which has stunning views and a lovely sea breeze. The hotel has surf boards and equipment which is free for guests to use which was a bonus. Our first breakfast was cold and service was slow. The other mornings were better but staff were not very friendly or welcoming. Check in is at the gate to the parking. On our arrival we were warned about the loud music on Fridays and signed a disclaimer! We were then able to enjoy free drinks from 9-11pm as compensation!!!

There were only four sun beds for guests! Drink prices are higher than local bars.

Nice room. Queen sized bed. Balcony had ocean view. Good water pressure. Pleasant staff. Very nice and clean pool.

Restaurant only open for breakfast though the bar was open each evening. It is a pretty long walk up a hill to get to your room from reception. It is a long walk or 5 to 6 dollar uber to the main bar / restaurant area in town.

The room was clean. Staff were very friendly and most were able to communicate in English. The pool was nice and breakfast was good. Fun to see the howler monkeys over the grounds as well.

It would have been nice to know before or when checking in that on Friday nights there is a huge party. The music shuts down at 2:30 am and there was very little sleep gotten since our room was right next to the pool area.

The staff was friendly. They had free surfboard and chairs you could use to take to the beach for free. The area was up on a hill which made for a perfect view. The breakfast had several options and it was made fresh when you ordered. I loved that it was not sitting out. The area had mango trees so it attracted monkeys. That was so cool to hear in the morning. The location is walking distance to the beach and town. It's not a 5 star hotel but is close it over one due to its quaintness and little extras. Thee lettuce point was perfect.

The room was a little small for 2 people to move around but who really stays in the room. The cable for TV didn't work well.

Great location. We loved the pool area, very beautiful and had fun lights at night. The party that the hotel hosts every Friday was so so fun!!

Our bed was a bit firm / uncomfortable but the room had good A/C and wifi. Biggest issue was the fire ants that would find their way in our room
