The hotel has perfect location with a path to the beach, and easy walking down the street to the rest of town. The restaurant inside was amazing as well, and was available whenever you needed a drink or something to eat. The staff at the front desk were so friendly despite our language barrier, and showed us around as we checked in so we knew where to go and how to operate the lights in the hotel. They provided soap and shampoo, and the AC was great!

Wonderful location, close to the beach, the estuary, and town. Beautiful grounds. Cozy rooms. The first floor terraces were very nice. Excellent value. Staff was very friendly. We loved our stay at Hotel Laguna del Cocodrilo.

The staff spoke very little English. Fortunately, we didn't have any major issues that we needed to communicate with them, so we were able to get by with the small amount of Spanish we know. Just a word of caution for non-spanish speaking travelers...

very tranquil at the end of tow next to the estuary cocodrilo. beautiful property. my terrace had an amazing hidden garden with a path through the palms to the beach. the restaurant next door lit up at night looked extraordinary. very photogenic and great gazpacho! the howler monkeys walked right over my head through the palms in the morning. What a great spot. if it had a pool it's easily twice the price. highly recommended if you like seeing lizards and tranquility. great tunes from the restaurant at night too, not loud, very chill...

Met our needs, easy to find, location sufficient, liked having a refrigerator in the room with a freezer we could use to freeze some stuff before the next day's hot travel. On the quieter end of the busy Tamarindo main street and Beach.

Bed was ok but not wonderful. Didn't see any place to get ice and the restaurant said no since they're a separate establishment. Noisy neighbors, could hear everything in the hallways. Parking was pretty tight.

Beach location is pretty much right outside your door, A path through the restaurant takes you right to the beach. The room had amazing water pressure, perfect for getting all the sand off ya when you're ready to lay down for the night. The staff was exceptional! I can't find the words to describe how amazing the staff at this hotel. From the owners to the staff, every single one of them went above and beyond to help my brother and I. Definitely coming back, hasta luego!

The room and balcony were beautiful and clean. Housekeeping was very friendly and always made sure our room was clean. The beach is only a few feet from the front of the hotel, and it is a short walk to all of the restaurants in Tamarindo. We walked to dinner every night and always felt perfectly safe. We kept to the road and there were always a lot of people walking at night. The beach is beautiful, not a lot of shade though, so if you need shade, you'll have to walk towards town and rent one of the beach umbrellas. The water is nice for swimming.

LOL, I wish there had been an ice machine, it would have made our beach trips easier. There were definitely animals in the walls, but that was more of a source of amusement than something bad. It is to be expected in that part of the world.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet and away from the main drag which provided some privacy. The shower had excellent pressure, if inconsistent temperature. They had live music at the attached restaurant which was nice.

The AC in the room was not very strong. It was a bit of a walk to get into town (very nice along the beach, less nice along the road).

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was on the beach. The fridge in the room was very useful.

There was no coffee maker in the room. If you are looking for a quote night in the rooms this is not a location for you. The restaurant and the bar are a few feet away and one can hear the music until about 10.at night.

It shares an entrance with an AWESOME restaurant that leads straight onto the beach! Staff was wonderful and rooms were comfy. There's a beach shower for rinsing off and hammocks for lounging.

Stairway light shuts of automatically (and very quickly!) Make sure to note where the switches are so you can easily find them again in the dark. If your windows are facing streetside, be prepared to join whatever party is happening outside. You will hear EVERYTHING!

Wonderful place. Great and very cozy location. it's pretty much at the very beginning of Tamarindo town but the town itself is small enough when walking an extra 5 min is not a big deal. There is a bar/restaurant connected to the hotel which made it super convenient the first night when we didn't feel like walking far after a long drive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. This is our second time staying in Tamarindo and this was much better experience with lower price and higher quality of the place for the money. The outside garden is very nice!!! I could see the beach from it. There is a little river that runs between the property and the beach, in a low tide you can walk though it although get ready to get muddy, otherwise it only takes a min to walk out to the main street and access the beach through the next property nearby.

One of our rooms had a shower that could have been updated. Back in the day it was probably awesome with lots of settings and jets, but now that creates more confusion and didn't always work properly. Warm water was not always steady but this is a common issue in majority of the places on the beach, so I don't think it was that property issue.
