We recently had the pleasure of visiting Plitvice Lakes and staying at the Villa Cancar. It was an absolutely fantastic experience! The villa is perfectly located, just a 10-minute drive from the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes National Park, making our visits incredibly convenient. Inside, the villa itself is fully equipped with every amenity you could need, ensuring a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the spacious pool area, complete with a sauna and Jacuzzi, which was a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. What truly made our trip memorable, though, were our incredibly welcoming and hospitable hosts. Their warmth and generosity exemplified genuine Croatian hospitality, and they even prepared awesome food for us. If you're looking for a place that offers true Croatian hospitality, delicious food, and a superb location for visiting Plitvice Lakes, we wholeheartedly recommend booking your stay here. excellent place if you plan to visit Plitvice. The lakes are 10 minutes drive from the hotel. There are many small shops in a walking distance (like 2 minutes on foot) with groceries and other stuff. There are couple of bistro and restaurants close to the hotel as well. Jacuzzi and sauna was a great add on after a long tour on the lakes, highly recommend. The rooms are comfy, enough space, well equipped, renovated, with small terrace where u can enjoy the coffee. And you can also order the breakfast at the hotel, there is such an option. Thanks a lot for your hospitality.

Breakfast was rather basic but ok to start the day. We stayed in a triple room, which was tight, especially the bathroom part. Yet, for 2 nights ok. The room itself was clean but needed some handyman's work. Wifi could be used mainly outside, not in rooms. The speciality for us was an outdoor pool and a cosy jacuzzi. We enjoyed spending time there. PS! Thanks to the owner's reminder we bought Plitvice NP tickets in advance.

The triple room's third bed's matrice was uncomfortable.

The apartment is located in a very nice area. The owner is very kind and helpful. We spent a weekend here, but next time we will definitely spend more, because there is a lot to see. We asked for breakfast, which is very, very delicious, there is a lot of choice, and the owner prepares it herself. The sauna and jacuzzi were also adequate, we really enjoyed it after visiting the Plitvice Lakes. Unfortunately, it was still cold for the pool. The beds are very comfortable and everything is clean.

Great location, near Plitvice Lake. Marina was very helpful and friendly and prepares a good breakfast. The pool is great, a good way to relax in the evening. We spent a lovely evening and night watching the Perseides.

We booked 3 rooms, one of them was triple. The triple one has a very small bathroom, you have to step in the shower in order to get to the toillet. No fridge in the room, this is mentioned on Booking, but it would be nice to have.

Such a warm reception from the owner who is so helpful and informative. The whole hotel is immaculate and the room is just perfect. The pool facilities were greatly appreciated after a long motorcycle ride from the UK in the heat. The location is approximately a 10-15min drive from the national park main entrances. Lots of places to eat in walking distance as well, that are not expensive. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was the best yet on our road trip. We are going to recommend this place to our families who now want to visit the parks.

Wonderful location located right outside the National Park. The room was cute and quaint. The staff was very kind. I had sprained my ankle the day before, and they helped me get an ice pack. Breakfast was homemade, plentiful, and delicious! The pool and hot tub area were super cute. I only wish we had more time to enjoy them. The resident dogs are sweethearts.

Nothing - everything was wonderful.

When we arrived, we were greeted in the yard by the dog Rio, the cutest and most cuddly creature. The host is very friendly, attentive and always available for additional information and help. The pictures of the accommodation reflect the actual condition. The spacious room is clean and well soundproofed. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is freshly prepared daily, plentiful and satisfying even the most demanding guests. The american pancakes, prepared by the host are excellent and a must-try. I admit that I have never eaten fluffier american pancakes. The location of the accommodation is excellent, as a market, cafe and restaurant are within walking distance.

We liked that the sofa bed was made up and ready upon our arrival. We also liked the friendly greeting upon arrival. The apartment was the perfect size for our family of three and was close to the park. We enjoyed our dip in the jacuzzi each evening.

The hot tub could have been a tad hotter, but it still was lovely!

Excellent location for the lakes, entrance 1 is the closest. Several restaurants in walking distance. The pool was very welcome in 30 degree heat. Breakfast was excellent and the host provided a kettle and mugs on request. Free parking.
