Cheap, clean, good air con, decent sized apartments

Construction work on the hotel next door. A lot of noise starting early morning

The price was very cheap considering the location and rooms were spacious and clean.

The hotel is already quite lived in, though they do try to maintain it as best they can. What we thought was weird, was that you had to ask for anything at the reception: the key to the gym, for a hairdryer, the remote for the AC, even a plug for the bathtub.

This property was the perfect budget holiday. The rooms are spacious, kept lovely and clean. Beds were comfortable, air con worked perfectly. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Pool area nice there was some new sun beds. The pool bar was good and the food menu good and reasonably priced. Yes as other reviews said the furniture in rooms are a little dated but no problem as all very clean. Cleaner will come every day to clean room. About 10 min walk to strip and beach. Would definitely go back and recommend for a budget break. We booked for 2 days and added another day on at the end.

Nothing! Was perfect for our needs.

This was our third stay at The Mandalena and we keep coming back because we love the combination of spacious, clean rooms. value for money and location. The staff are very helpful and friendly, everything is straightforward and easy, and just the right distance from the centre of Protaras that we can walk in for a meal, without the noise of the traffic and 'entertainment'.

Nothing really - we did have a noisy guest next door one night who seemed to think playing music, banging on the floors and using his speakerphone at 2am was acceptable, but the staff resolved this quickly and efficiently.

Having been to Protaras many times, we came across this hotel for a 5 night break and found it to be very basic but don’t let that put you off. great price, you get what you pay for. The hotel was very clean, staff so lovely and polite, breakfast for £5, pool was cold but lovely and the location is great and local to all that you need within 10 mins walk such as many restaurants, bars, all the nightlife you need and the beach. Our room was cleaned regularly and the Studios are huge with a great balcony to relax on. Air con was amazing!

The property needs work, some TLC! very old, outdated, needs a complete makeover in all honesty. little things such as door handles loose, cupboard doors coming away, curtains falling off runners, wardrobes from the 60s! Sun beds by the pool were old, rusty and not at all comfortable. Lovely hotel but in general, it just needs modernisation.

The apartments were immaculately clean, they were a little bit tired but had a nice clean fridge and basic cooking facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool wasn’t busy so no beach towels at dawn for a sunbed! It wasn’t too far to walk to the main part of Protaras, or out the back of the hotel down to Potami bay.

The food wasn’t great but I expect most people head out so it’s not really worth it for the hotel to invest in a chef etc.

Great location with a short walk to beach and nightlife/restaurants. Hotel lovely with great pool and poolside bar. Staff are fantastic with nothing too much for them. Easy check in and out and parking free and available! Really enjoyed time there! Great value for money and extremely clean.

The room was a bit dated and needed some TLC. Settee made into third bed which left no where to sit in living room except dining chairs which weren’t that comfortable.

Our room was very spacious! It was very clean and taken well care of. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook (pans, utensils). Our beds were very clean and comfortable. The shower was also very clean. The balcony was the perfect spot to relax. All the staff were very kind and helpful with us. We really liked the fact that there was a bus station just outside the hotel and this made it really easy for us to travel and explore the nearby cities.

Our hotel apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely pool which we made good use of it. The staff is very friendly and helpful also.

If there was something to mention is that there is not a supermarket nearby apart from a couple of mini markets with limited stock. However if you don't have a car the bus stop is outside of the hotel which serves lots of locations

The cleanliness and size of the room were excellent. All of the staff were very nice, the cleaners, the bar staff, the night porter, etc. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was cool and a good size. The people who were also staying were very pleasant and friendly. There was a good atmosphere. There was a handy 24-hour kiosk just a few meters walk down the road. 2.50 EUR cocktail of the day and they didn't skimp on the alcohol even though it was cheap! I had a pizza one night and it was very tasty. I was genuinely very impressed at the quality considering the price of the stay. I would definitely stay again and I recommended it to my family.

The sunbeds were not of great quality but did the job! Would be great to get some new ones.
