Oh, where to start. For me, this is a real 10 out of 10 place, not one of the places with a high rating where nothing is really wrong, but things are not great, either. Why? The location, 3 min from the Metro, in a nice neighbourhood with not a stag do in sight, is fantastic. My room (a 'deluxe' room, which is the second cheapest out of four categories) was big, had a kitchenette, looked great, had space to put things, had soundproofing that worked, had a view of their nice little garden and the bed was nice and comfortable. There was a safe, an ironing board, enough plugs, good wifi, ... Staff were super friendly and happy to give recommendations and help out. I am very happy I booked this.

Hmm, not much to complain about really. I am sure people will complain about the fact that the coffee is not complimentary, but costs all of 1.5 EUR... I didn't mind, still cheaper than anywhere else in the city. Tea is free... The reception is only staffed until 8pm, which is clearly communicated by the hotel and there is a late check-in procedure. So, no problem really, but the late check-in instruction arrive on the email you provided at check-in, so don't arrive late with no data on your phone...

Hotel is fantastically furnished and is stunning. The room was big, open, light and a high quality. The doors open for you and you walk through a polished stone floor to a classic staircase. The building I assume was a former apartment block, refurbished into a modern classic hotel. The rooms, decor and art work are amazing. Showers had plenty of pressure, really hot and our balcony was lovely to enjoy a drink overlooking the boulevard. Location is brilliant, a short walk to the underground and bus stops etc. Staff were helpful, and even when closed the reception desk were contactable via phone.

Coffee machine in the room was chargeable, pod machine. I thought this was interesting due to price and quality of the hotel. I understand drinks from mini bar etc, however if tea is free .. why are small coffees chargeable?

Very clean, lovely staff, very welcoming, even the resident doggys came to say hello. Well decorated, different breakfast choices each morning, Fluffy towels, good quality all round. Cant fault it.

This was our second stay at Alfons Hotel. It's a charming hotel with super friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good a/c. There is even a lovely garden area with seating which offers a nice cool place to sit and unwind after a busy day. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The biggest advantage of staying here, apart from the nice hotel, is the location. It is right by IP Pavolva station, with access to the metro and trams/buses etc right on your doorstep. It makes travelling round the city so easy and no long walk to and from the station. We highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing - we would stay again

Very unique and cute. Staff so friendly and helpful, always have a smile on their face at reception. Karina especially was so kind and helpful! Rooms and nice, bed is very cozy! Location is decent, just outside the old town, about a 25 minute walk or a 15-20 minute tram or a 10 minute taxi which is super cheap, make sure to use Bolt over Uber.

Double bed came with two separate duvets, may suit some couples but not for us. Paid for the romance decor, but of a waste of money, just some petals, swan towels and hearts hung up, oh and pralines which were good. Cleaning staff weren’t friendly, a couple times they wouldn’t hold lift for us event if we were two seconds away and they don’t smile ever.

The staff were all very friendly, approachable, efficient and so helpful - no question or request was too challenging for them, particularly for the two wonderful Reception staff. The breakfast was well organised, with a wide range of delicious foods to suit varied tastes and cultures. The rooms were very well appointed, with beautiful paintings in the style of Mucha, the Alfons in this story. In the beautiful Zen-like garden area one could chill before and after treading the tourist trail: Prague is super crowded with tourists - just like me! - everywhere you go.

Nothing important, really. The location is a little off centre, but the Tram system is excellent, so it's easy to get to the Castle, The Old Town etc. The warmth and friendliness and helpfulness of the Alfons staff (and other hospitality outlets) stood in stark contrast to the very rude locals one met on the street, who will dismiss you and mumble in Czech if you ask them a question. The Police however were the epitome of courtesy and helpfulness. I offer a polite, constructive suggestion: The Alfons management should review their information literature - unless they really mean that there are 'mates of high quality' in each bed and 'hairdressers' in every room. Lovely. You decide.

The modern facilities in terms of accessing the building, contactless entrance, check in procedure in late hours and exceptional support via online channels as in person, too. Cosy furnitures/decoration, clean (very) and exceptional soundproofing effort. Mattresses wasn't very fluffy, more of a medium feeling, huge comfy pillows and stuff. The location absolutely fantastic 3-4min from I.P. Pavlova metro entrance or directly opposite to the metro elevator. Walkable distance to the National Museum (about 10-15 mins). Breakfast is decent, reasonable variety and I felt satiated easily (yes, for breakfast). I would definitely go back to them and fully recommend this hotel. Excellent value for money.

Trying really hard to find sth, the bathrooms would be maybe nicer if it was a half meter wider but from the other hand you are benefited from more space on the room.

The hotel is very beautiful and well decorated. The staff is really nice and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. The location is central with good communications. There are plenty of food options nearby. Parking is super easy. There is a parking spot on the street or a place in underground garage.

The room was on the last floor with cut ceiling so you have to be very careful not to bang your head every time you stand up from the bed. We were told we had to make a request in advance but since there wasn’t such room in the photos we didn’t assume that we need to make a special request to be in a room with normal ceiling.

I loved our room, location of room, bathroom was industrial style cool. Breakfasts plentiful and delicious. I cannot fault the hotel at all. The beds were the comfiest I have slept on and I have an amazing Tempur mattress at home. Even if I enjoy a hotel and usually pick a different one if I revisit a holiday location. I’ll make an exception here as I don’t think it can be beaten on price and even location. No, we were not in the middle of all the tourist area but very easy walking distance and just a minute from Pavlova metro station. Staff were kind and friendly. I am thrilled I picked such a great boutique hotel to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome straight away. The central location meant that it was easy to get around Prague on foot, particularly to the nearby museums. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with blackout curtains, which was much appreciated. It was also relatively quiet despite facing the busy road - the only disturbance we had was a protest with people sounding their horns. Breakfast was a great selection of hot and cold items and I especially loved the homemade apple cake. I would definitely come again next time I visit Prague.

The only thing I didn't like was the bright light of the microwave display facing the bed...we covered it up with a towel every night as it was so bright it disturbed our sleep.
