Nice location, good sound isolation from the street noise, clean room. Water cooker and fridge in the room are always a plus. Surprisingly good breakfast considering the price.

No sound isolation from the corridor. My room had only one window at the ceiling, so I could not see anything outside. I think this sort of information should be added to the room description. While the lady at the reception was nice and helpful, the gentleman that was there when I arrived was borderline rude. Words like "hello", "thank you", "you are welcome", "sorry", "have a nice evening" are really not that hard to use. Also, please repair your doorbell: I had to find the phone number of the hotel and call, even though I specified the exact time of my arrival and the receptionist was sitting right there...

We stayed in a triple toom on the 3rd floor (301) and it was spacious and very quiet.Everything was clean and the beds very comfortable..Breakfast was really tasty! Location is ideal ,near metro station,tram ,within walking distance from the museum and the city centre! There s even a small market at the corner to buy water,snacks at reasonable prices..3 fast food restaurants are located near the metro exit.. The owners of the hotel were amazing!Really welcoming and available to assist us and gave us useful information....I highly recommend Alton Hotel..

This was our first visit to Prague. Mariana at reception went out of her way to organise our tours making sure we got something to suit our needs. Very knowledgeable and she cared that we got a good experience of her home city.

On a very busy street so need to expect noise.

We had a wonderful stay at Alton. It's a charming little hotel small but comfortable. The room was clean, simple but cozy. The bed and pillows very comfortable. It's located on the busy street so sleeping with windows open was not an option for us but the air conditioning worked very well so we had good nights sleep. The breakfast was diverse and included fresh fruits and vegetables every day. The tram station and metro is right around the corner so it was very easy to reach city center and other parts of the city. Altogether our stay was very much enjoyable. And both receptionists were very welcoming and friendly. It was a pleasure to stay at Alton.

Nothing worth mentioning

The owners are really nice, and the hotel is in a handy spot, close to public transport. Rooms were cleaned daily, beds were comfy, and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection of sweet and sour choices. The hotel has a nice lobby where we could sit in the evening, when our 2-year-old son fell asleep, there was comforting music, and overall good idea. Our room key didn't work when we got into the hotel, but it was solved within 15 minutes, so that was nice as well.

Handy spot close to the public transport has its toll, there was a noise from the street, we could constantly hear ambulances, it was hard to fall asleep, especially for our 2-year-old. It's hard to park around the hotel, but that comes with the location, so we counted on that. I think the carpet in the room could use a proper steam cleaning, even though it was hoovered every day, our socks were really dirty after walking around the room, and it had a strange smell - like someone once might have spilled something on it.

Good hotel for midrange budget. Location is excellent, there's tram stop for various lines right behind corner. Location is near busy street, but my room was top floor with only roof window. Opening it meant some street noise, but as room was equipped with really good air con, there was no need to have window open or even open blinds. Room was equipped with fridge which is always plus for these 3-4 star hotels. And big plus on hot summer days. Breakfast was ok and is most likely enough for most people. Sweet cakes are made by staff on-site which is nice plus. Staff is friendly and helpful. Big thanks to older gentleman that met me first day. I forgot my tablet into room while leaving to next destination. Hotel informed me about it with whatsapp message. This was really good service along getting it in package to be shipped back to me.

Only minus really is room having carpet. Carpet, especially tick one, is hard to keep clean and brings "old" smell to room. But this was overall minor issue.

Rooms where clean and with carpet. Every day there was a new towels . Breakfast room was nice an warm, tables cleaned on every guests momentarily. The food was nice - eggs and salads coffee machine with any need. Would be nice more things on breakfast like in Austria and Germany (bacons some more cheese and hams). Location is perfect 10/10 trams and buses and metro is in 30 sec from the hotel. Hot water at any time with good pressure. Heated rooms and bathroom. Late check-in with a passcode was good without problem. Nice waiting room with good seats. Quick elevator with carpet floors. 10/10 all . Thanks!

Would be nice to have extra pillow in the locker :)

Alton and it’s close by sister hotel “beranek” are in my fixed rotation of prague hotels. The rooms are clean, tidy and somewhat minimalist (which i like). Some dynamic pricing quirks aside they are mostly good value for money. The last room i had was under the roof and had a powerful AC to not make me feel the heat of a 33 degree day. Good shower, very enjoyable breakfast and friendly staff make it a pleasure to stay there every time. Location is next to cute town square “tylak” in the nice vinohrady quarter; I.P Pavlova station is well connected. I will book again!

Perfect as is!

Good location - not far from the train station and the main street. Lots of small shops and restaurants in the area - we recommend Legenda and Restaurace U Šumavy. A bit of a walk to the main tourist attractions, but the area feels safe and clean. The room is quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Beds are comfortable. We didn't use it, but we accidentally came across a common room, where you can sit and there is a machine where you can buy a drink or snack.

It was a little bit stressful because our plans changed and we wanted to use the hotel parking service too, but we arrived close to 7:00 PM, when direct reception ends - of course, if you don't drive with your own car, then this problem is not a problem :)

The location was only a few minutes from Narodni museum and yet away from Wencescla Square so it was not chaotic. The hotel is seconds away from trams and metro. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast was varied, fresh and tasty. The receptionists/owners were very nice and polite. Will gladly stay here again. Very good WIFI signal too. Lovely restaurants and cafeterias close by.
