This little hotel isn't fancy but is exceptionally clean and well run. The staff is friendly, the food is good and it is a pleasant place to stay. It is also within walking distance of many good small restaurants that serve food from different cultures, and is close to public transportation, as well as two really good parks for kids. It is an area that is safe to walk at night, even a woman alone.

This is a typical small European inn, with small rooms with no air conditioning, which can be an issue on unusually hot nights. However , my room had a window that opened very widely, and a small fan, and most nights dropped into the 50"s, so this was not a problem for me. However if you must have air conditioning, perhaps this is not the place for you.

This is rather a nice hotel, and one I only booked because there wasn't space at my favourite B & B. I particularly appreciated the mini spa in the basement which I took full advantage of! The staff were very accommodating and friendly too, especially when I made the effort to speak Czech with them!

I was unfamiliar with this part of Prague and it took a while to get used to the public transport options (which are numerous! There are several tram stops nearby), but unfortunately the nearest metro is about 1km away. My room was also quite small.

Friendly staff and clean hotel. Restaurants nearby with good food to a decent price.

Breakfast starts at 7:30, could open a little earlier, other that I only have positive things to say.

Hotel Askania is a nice place with cozy rooms. Staff was friendly and proactive, I stayed for just 1 night, but will definitely consider when staying in Prague again. The complementary breakfast was awesome and among the best ones I have had in Czech Republic thus far!

Not really anything the staff could have done about it, there was a massive repair at the sidewalk that made getting in and out of the property a bit challenging… but it’s just a temporal annoyance. I’m perfectly fine with the room size for a single person, not sure if it could accommodate 2 people for extended stays… probably there are larger rooms better suited for that.

Place was clean, it has good connection with public transportation to city center. Breakfast was correct. Staff was helpful. Beds were comfortable. It's value for money given that we traveled in high holiday season.

I'm not sure it is a 4 star hotel as it is a a bit antiquated. While the bathroom was being cleaned daily, towels were not changed and beds were not made, which was a bit weird. I would have enjoyed that the Spa area was free of charge ( we didn't notice that it was an additional cost when we booked it ) . Overall, it was adequate for the price we paid.

The place is nice, breakfast is nice too, the staff are friendly and helpful! Parking is a bit hard to find around the hotel, but still possible. There are tram stops not far from the hotel that can take you downtown in a matter of 15 min

It’s not really a minus for healthy people, but if you can’t walk up and down the stairs, it will be a bit hard since the elevator stops between the floors, so you still need to walk up and down 1 flight of stairs

1. Charge for using AC, which I did not read in the fineprints. 2. The swimming pool is also a paid service. In booking.com sauna is flagged as paid however swimming as included service. So either booking.com is wrong or the hotel is trying to earn more money. 3. 24 Euro additional city tax, also excluded from booking.com quoted price. If you add all the price then there are many better options, which I filtered out because of the hotel hidden charges.

Hotel was really nice with cosy rooms and really good breakfast - one day during our 3-night stay there was even Pavlova cake available in dessert menu, which melted my heart completely. Everything was tasty and every day it was some changes in menu not to be bored from food. My family used such a hotel service as sauna&pool - we liked it and also that it was possible to use privately. Staff was very friendly and welcoming also to small naughty kids. "I cannot praise the staff enough for their exceptional service! Despite being a few minutes late for breakfast, they graciously accommodated me. Moreover, when my train was rescheduled, resulting in a late check-in (which I had informed them about in advance), they were still there to ensure a seamless process. Their dedication to making guests feel welcome and comfortable truly stood out to me. Highly recommend!"

In my single room, I found the space a bit cramped. My large suitcase took up most of the available space, leaving little room to move around comfortably. A slightly larger room would have been more accommodating.

The staff (ALL INCLUDING THE CLEANERS) was very friendly and helpful all the time - KEEP THE GOOD WORK UP.

The doors/rooms could be made sound proof. All that was happening in the corridors outside the room could be heard loud and clear. Though of little importance, the TV reception/channels could be made digital and NOT just have the free channels only in Czech language. Some cable TV package would be awesome to have these days like in most 4 Star Hotels
