Excellent Stay – Perfect Location and Great Value! We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel At the Golden Scissors in Prague. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of the city, with major attractions just a short walk away, yet still peaceful and charming. We stayed in a beautiful suite with a side view of the iconic Charles Bridge, which made our experience even more special. Waking up to such a view was simply unforgettable. The room was clean, cozy, and full of character, reflecting the unique charm of Prague. What really stood out was the excellent price-performance ratio. For the location, comfort, and service provided, the value is outstanding. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague!

A small note for future guests: While our overall stay was fantastic, it would be helpful if the room description included a note that the suite is located directly above the restaurant’s outdoor terrace. In the evenings, the music and lively atmosphere from the terrace can be clearly heard in the room. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but light sleepers might want to take this into consideration.

Very good location, interesting design in the room with comfortable beds. Room size is small, but you can find everything for comfortable stay there. Receptionist is very helpful and welcome lady. Breakfast was very delicious. Thank you!

I stayed at The Golden Scissors Hotel in Prague, and the experience was simply perfect. The hotel is located in the Old Town, in a historic building that has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are spacious, stylish, fully renovated, and furnished with comfortable and tasteful furniture. The staff was kind and helpful, the cleanliness was of a very high standard, and the European-style breakfast was delicious and satisfying. There was absolutely nothing missing in the room. The location is excellent – right next to Charles Bridge, with all the main attractions within walking distance. The hotel has a rustic yet modern and well-maintained design, and there’s even a small neighborhood playground nearby – a great bonus for those traveling with children. In short – an excellent place. I truly enjoyed my stay, and when I return to Prague, there’s no doubt I’ll stay at the same hotel again.

The hotel is beautiful and clean, and in the perfect location, right next to Charles bridge for a scenic walk across the river to the Old Town, and close to the castle. The staff were amazing, they helped us so much with an early check in, room cleaning, taxi bookings and taking care of our luggage. The breakfast which we had included was great too, plenty of options, and the hotel restaurant was wonderful during the rest of the day.

Nothing, the hotel is great and we will recommend to all our friends and family who visit Prague in the future.

I stayed at the Golden Scissors with my sister and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the location, it's located right next to the charles bridge, but on a slightly less touristy street. A 2 minutes walk to Museum Kampa and super walkable to every other tourist destination. We walked the entire time and did not see a need to take transportation. The breakfast was beyond our expectation, including a hot bar, fruits, yogurts, baked goods and more. The room was spacious and the bathroom even more so.

Sadly, I am a clean freak and the cleanliness of the floor in the room was not up to my standards. I can only say this because the hotel does provide white room slippers and after walking around the room a bit, the bottoms were dirty. The bed was spacious, but very stiff.

Location and facilities were good

Some of the breakfast staff could have been friendlier. Surprisingly the rooms were hot & the air conditioning remote control was removed from the room without advising us. After searching high and low for the remote control we went to reception thinking we had lost it. It was actually quite stressful and then to be told it had been removed from the room was totally disrespectful.

The hotel is set in one of the most beautifull locations in Prague. My room (number 7) in the 3rd floor was generously spaced with 3 windows facing the river side and an amazing view. Beds are comfortable, room had a couch and 2 chairs + coffee table. An ideal place for a romatic weekend, or even an entire week!

There is no elevator in the building, but staff offered help you with my luggage. Breakfast room is rather small (max like 15 people at one time), but food was ok.

Such a quaint, beautiful building with flower boxes in the windows. The location could not have been better tucked away at one end of Charles Bridge but so quiet at night. We were able to walk to see all the sights. I noticed while eating breakfast brides and grooms having official photographs outside on a couple of mornings, because it’s such a beautiful spot. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was exactly as pictured on Booking.com…flooded with natural light, clean and very comfortable. We had breakfast included which was delicious, varied and plentiful. I would definitely recommend The Golden Scissors Hotel.

My only tiny little gripe was a slightly noisy air conditioning unit but I think it just needed servicing!

Its location, friendliness and helpfulness of all its staff. Our room was equipped with some thoughtful extras - toiletries, magnifying mirror, tea and coffee making facilities. The room furniture had been protected with felt pads to dull any noise. Small number of rooms gave it a more personal touch. The restaurant/ breakfast room was always clean, well stocked with pleasant decor.

We missed a supply of milk (for tea) in the room and the room was not well soundproofed from the corridor

The Hotel at the Golden Scissors was just brilliant! Well located next to Charles bridge but in a lovely quiet plaza within easy walking distance of both the Old and Lesser Towns. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautifully appointed hotel and if we could give more than 10 out of 10 we would. It was perfect!
